Gwen opens her locker one day at school to find yet another mean note inside. Her face falls as she reads it, feeling the weight of the bullying that has been going on for days. She thought it would stop but it hasn't yet. She doesn't even know who is writing the mean notes. Kamden, noticing Gwen's change in demeanor, walked over to her. Noticing Kamden walking over to her, she crumbled the note up, putting it in her jacket pocket and closed the locker.

"Hey, Gwen." Kamden greets, eyes full of concern. "You seem different lately. Is everything okay?"

Gwen forces a smile. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just some things on my mind, that's all."

Kamden stares at her suspisoucsly, knowing something was up but if Gwen didn't want to talk about it then he wouldn't pressure her to talk about it. He nods, his eyes still full of concern for her. "Okay, just letting you know you can talk to me about anything, alright?"

"Yeah," Gwen nods, smiling a little. "Thanks, Kam."

Later that day at school, Kamden noticed a piece of paper outside of Gwen's locker and he assumed maybe she forgot it or maybe it fell out of her locker. He picked it up, making a mental note to give it back to her when he saw her, but then he froze and his blood ran cold at seeing the cruel words on the paper. They were about Gwen and his heart ache as he realized what was happening to her. Gwen was getting bullied and she was going through that alone. She didn't deserve that.

Noticing Topanga walking nearby, he called her over to him. Topanga smiles at him. "Hey, Kamden, what's up?"

"Did you know that Gwen is getting notes in her locker?" Kamden curiously asked.

"No, I didn't. Ooh, does she have a secret admire?" Topanga grinned.

Kamden sighs, glancing back at the paper he held. "I wish."

Topanga's grin fell from her face as she noticed the sad look on his face. "Okay, tell me what it is. You're starting to worry me."

"Gwen is getting these kind of notes in her locker." Kamden shows her the note he found on the floor by Gwen's locker. Topanga gasps, eyes widening while she read the note and her heart ached for her friend. She glances at him with sad eyes and she went to speak but he beat her to it. "No, she didn't tell me. I found this note on the floor by her locker. Must've fell out of the locker or something."

"Oh, this is awful." Topanga frowns. "Why hasn't she told us about this?"

"Maybe she's just not ready to tell us?" Kamden suggests with a shrug. "I don't know. You know how stubborn she is. Probably thinks she can handle it on her own, but she should know that we're always going to be there for her no matter what." He frowns. "Especially for stuff like this."

Topanga knew Gwen had been acting differently for a reason this past week and she was determined to figure out why. After hearing from Kamden about the mean notes she had been getting, her heart dropped. She couldn't believe someone would be so mean to someone like Gwen. She walked past a group of girls gossiping in the bathroom, inadvertently overhearing their conversation about Gwen's locker notes. The group seemed that they didn't even care someone else was in there even when they were gossiping. But Topanga's eyes widen with realization.

"They were the ones who made the notes." She mumbled under her breath, anger flashing in her eyes as she left the bathroom, sending the group a cold glare before she left. She had to talk to Gwen about this.

The next day in her uncle's class, Gwen was suddenly passed a note which was for her. She hesitated but she unfolded the note, heart sinking at the mean words inside the note. She knew this was from her bully.

"Gwen," She snaps her nervous gaze to her uncle, who raises his eyebrows at her. But then his stern gaze softens and fills with concern at seeing the tears in her eyes. "There's no passing notes in your uncle's class."

"That's exactly what I was thinking." Gwen replied shakily, crumbling the note up and put it in her pocket. Jonathan glanced at her with concern, but he continued to teach the class, making a mental note to check with her after class.

****

After class that day, Jonathan stopped Gwen from leaving once the class was empty. "Gwenny," He said softly, looking at her with concern. "Are you okay? You've been kinda off lately. What was that note about?"

"It's nothing to worry about." Gwen reassures him, smiling, but it didn't meet her eyes. Jonathan sends her a look, one that shows he didn't believe her. "Uncle Jon, I'm fine." She reassured him.

Jonathan nods slowly, still not believing her and is concerned for her, but doesn't act about it again. He knows she'll talk about it when shes ready. "Okay."

The next day at lunch, Eric noticed Gwen throwing a crumbled note with a sad look on her face which concerned him. He walked over to her, smiling but his eyes showed concern for her.

"Hi, Gwen." He greets. "You doing alright?"

"Yeah," Gwen nods at him, forcing yet another smile. "Doing great."

"You sure?" Eric raises his eyebrows, not exactly believing her. "I may be older than you and Cory's brother but you can tell me anything, okay?"

"Yeah, I know." Gwen reassures him, a genuine smile on her face, but it was small. "I'm okay."

Eric hesitates, still knowing something is wrong but he doesn't say anything else about it. If Gwen wanted to talk about it, she would. "Okay."

At Chubbies that day after school, Cory sat at a booth with his brother, Topanga, and Kamden, listening to what they had been telling him about what's been goin going on with Gwen. "Guys, I think she's getting bullied." He realizes, his face falling. "That would explain the notes and why she's been avoiding us."

"Yeah," Kamden said sadly. "She won't talk about it which is frustrating. I just wanna help her."

"We all do, buddy." Eric chimes in. "But all we can do now is just let her tell us about it when she's ready."

"But what if the bullying gets worse than just notes?" Cory asks worriedly. "Or maybe it already is and we don't know 'cause we haven't done anything about it?"

"Haven't done anything about what?"

Cory shares a look with Kamden and his brother as Shawn walks over to the table. "Nothing. Absolutely nothing." Eric lied with a smile, awkwardly crossing his arms as he leaned back in the seat to try and act normal. His brother facepalmed while Kamden and Topanga rolled their eyes at Eric's bad attempt at being casual.

Shawn narrows his eyes at him. "That's clearly a lie. Spill it."

"You're not gonna like what we're gonna tell you." Cory nervously said.

"Cory, you're not making me feel any better with saying that." Shawn tells him. "Spill it."

Cory takes a deep breath before revealing, "Gwen is getting bullied."

All color is drained from Shawn's face, he stares at Cory in shock, his hands on his sides forming into fists. Then anger overtakes the look on his face. "What?"

Meanwhile, Topanga went to Gwen's apartment to check on her. She knew her mom wasn't home which she was relieved. Topanga never really liked her mom and she hated the fact Gwen had to deal with her. Gwen's dad, Ian, opened the door when she knocked on the front door of the apartment. "Hey, Topanga." Ian greets with a smile. "Nice to see you. What are you doing here?"

"Nice to see you too." Topanga smiles. "Is Gwen home?" She hopefully asked.

Ian nods. "Yeah, she is. I'm assuming you're here to comfort her after what she's been through?"

"So you know about the bullying?" Topanga questioned with surprise.

"Of course. I think I know my daughter better than anyone." Ian chuckles lightly. He sighs. "She hasn't outwardly tell me she's getting bullied, but I can see all the signs and I hate it." He steps to the side, letting Topanga walk in. "So please help her out with it. She won't talk to me about it so maybe she'll talk to you."

Topanga nods, smiling softly. "Thanks, Mr. Calloway." As he closed the door, she walked in the direction to Gwen's room.  She then knocked on Gwen's door, concern etched on her face. Gwen opened the door, looking shocked at seeing her there and then she looked nervous. She fidgeted with her rings that she wore on one hand.

"Topanga, what are you doing here?"

"Kamden told me about the notes you've been getting." Topanga admits in a soft tone, Gwen's shoulders drop in defeat, but secretly she was relieved Topanga found out. She was dying to tell someone and ask for help but she was too scared and didn't know what to do. "I overheard some girls talking at school in the bathroom talking about putting the notes in your locker." Topanga explains, glancing at her with concern. "They're the ones behind the notes. We need to talk, Gwen."

****

The next hour Gwen confessed to Topanga what had been going on to her for the past week and Topanga comforted her the best she could. Gwen was relieved and grateful to have someone like her as a friend. But there was something else...Well, someone else that Gwen was very worried about. She was worried about their reaction to this so Gwen and Topanga work together to barricade the window leading to the fire escape. They even locked the bedroom door and moved a chair to block it for extra security.

"You think that will hold him?" Gwen nervously asked.

Suddenly, the barricade of various furniture and other items in Gwen's room in front of the window knocks down as Shawn angrily climbs inside. Topanga grimaces. "Yeah, I'm thinking no."

Shawn is breathing heavily out of anger, staring at Gwen with concern. "What the h**l, Gwen? Why didn't you tell me?"

"Sorry," Cory apologizes as he climbs in the window after him. He sheepishly smiles. "I tried to stop him. He's really strong and fast though." He moved to stand by Topanga while Shawn stood in front of Gwen.

Topanga pats his shoulder, sending him a small smile. "Nice try, Cory."

"I... I didn't want you to worry. I-I thought I could handle it myself.. Clearly I can't. It's getting worse....It won't stop." Gwen stammered to Shawn, tears pricking her eyes while she swallowed the lump that formed in her throat.

Shawn's anger melts away when he sees Gwen's vulnerability. He hated seeing her upset at all and the fact that she was getting bullied and he couldn't do anything about it killed him. He wraps his arms around her, offering comfort. "You don't have to handle it alone, Gwen. I'm here for you. Always."

"Yeah," Topanga chimes in as the two of them pull away form the hug. "We're all here for you." She pulled Gwen into a hug and soon a group hug was formed between the four best friends. Gwen broke down in tears, she couldn't help it. Everything that she had suffered through on her own was weighing on her and now after her best friends knew it felt like a weight had been lifted off her shoulders. Her best friends continued to hug her tightly, reassuring her with the gesture that she would always be comforted.

Gwen walks down the hallway the next day at school, her head held high. She spotted the group of mean girls responsible for the notes and confronted them.

"Oh, look who it is." One of them snickered.

"You think you're brave enough to confront us?" Another one taunts. "How cute."

Gwen falters just the slightest bit, but she looks behind her shoulder at her group of friends. Cory, Topanga, Kamden, Eric, and Shawn stood behind her by a wall of lockers watching her with encouraging looks. She locked eyes with Shawn. He nodded at her, mouthing to her 'you got this' with a soft smile on his face. She takes a deep breath and smiles at them before turning to the group of mean girls with a determined look, firmly speaking. "You think those notes will break me? Think again. I won't let your words define me."

The group of mean girls look taken aback by her sudden burst of confidence. "Are you guys really that bored with your life that you have to resort to bullying?" Gwen glares at them. "That's so low. Even for you guys."

The leader of the group looks upset and nervous for a split second before she scoffed and rolled her eyes. "We don't have to listen to this." She then turned and walked away with her friends following her.

Gwen was a bit surprised by how they all suddenly left. Gwen smiled though, her head high as she realized she stood up to her bullied and it worked. She then walked over to her friends, who were all smiling at her.

"Gwen, you did it!" Cory cheered.

"I knew she could do it." Eric grinned.

"We all knew she could do it." Topanga corrected him and Eric just shrugged.

"Congrats, Gwen." Kamden smiles softly at her. "I'm happy that's over."

"Me too." Gwen sighs in relief. She smiles at the group. "Thank you all for your help. I really appreciate it."

"We're your friends." Shawn reminds her, glancing at her with a fond look that made her heart flutter. He steps towards her, pulling her in a hug. "We'll always be there to help you out."

"Yeah, whether you want it or not." Cory remarked.

Gwen chuckles and smiles, hugging Shawn back. She needed one of his hugs. His hugs were the best and they always brought a smile to her face and made her feel better. She always felt safe and comforted in his hugs. "I'm so proud of you, Neve." Shawn whispered so only she could hear.

Gwen hugs him tightly, smiling softly as she buried her face in his shoulder. "Thank you, Shawnie."

A/N thought it would be a good idea to do like a parallels episode with girl meets world about the episode riley gets bullied so thats why this chapter seems a bit similar to that episode.
