"'Seven minutes in heaven'?" Cory questioned as he, Shawn, and Gwen walked into the cafeteria at lunch with their trays. Gwen sat at the end of the table near Shawn while the two boys sat next to each other.

"Yeah," Shawn nods. "They pick a boy. They pick a girl. Then they send you two into a dark closet."

Cory furrows his eyebrows. "Well, how do you find the girl?"

Shawn points at him. "With your lips."

Cory grins. "I'm gonna like this game."

Gwen raises her eyebrows when Eric stops by them. "Yeah," He said, glancing at what his brother is eating for lunch. "If that's your eatin' for lunch, I don't think the girl will like it."

Cory glares at his brother while he walks away. "Nobody's talking to you."

"Just trying to help." Eric called out to him.

"Okay, look, closet strategy is key." Shawn said. Gwen tilts her head to the side, furrowing her eyebrows when she notices Cory pretending to kiss someone repeatedly. "You've only got seven minutes." Shawn explains. "You have to make every second..." He stops in the middle of his sentence, noticing what Cory is doing. "What are you doing?"

"Lip-ups. I want to be in shape." Cory replied.

Gwen chuckles. "Lip-ups aren't a thing, Cor."

"Doesn't matter." Cory shakes his head. "I want to go the distance."

"Tick, tick, tick, tick." Eric spoke to Cory when he walked past the table again.

"What?" Cory asked him.

"Time bomb." Eric responded as he walked away.

Gwen rolls her eyes. "Cor, ignore that idiot who somehow made it to high school. Eric is just trying to get into your head."

"Yeah," Cory agrees. "He's just playing some game, but it doesn't work." He looks at her and Shawn with a smile. "Never has, never will."

Gwen goes back to eating her lunch, but notices Cory looking nervous out of the corner of her eye. She stopped eating, looking at Cory with raised eyebrows, and saw he was looking at Eric. She rolled her eyes, knowing that Eric had gotten into his head and now Cory was nervous about the game.

"Cory." Shawn called out to the curly-haired boy.

Cory jumps, turning to face him with a panicked expression. "What?"

"You're bothered by what Eric said, aren't you?" Gwen asked him.

Cory glances at her and shakes his head. "No, not at all." He stands up. "In fact, I'm going over there right now and tell him how much it's not bothering me." He walked over to sit at the table his brother was sitting at.

Gwen and Shawn glance at each other. "It's bothering him." Gwen nodded.

Shawn nods in agreement. "Oh, yeah."

****

Gwen was never a fan of parties. She wasn't planning to go to this one since she didn't like the game 'Seven Minutes In Heaven'. Mainly because she had never been kissed before and was kind of scared. She wanted her first kiss to be sweet and passionate, just perfect. She didn't want her first kiss to be at a party where 'Seven Minutes In Heaven' happened. But somehow, the boys convinced her to go with them.

Gwen stood next to Shawn, glancing around the room with a nervous expression. It looked like the whole school was there, and she was a bit disappointed not to see Kamden there. She wasn't surprised he's not there because he told her parties aren't his thing. But part of her hoped he was there, and part of her hoped he would be her first kiss. On the other hand, there is a small (okay, huge) part of her that wanted her first kiss to be Shawn, but she did her best to forget about that.

"This is great." Shawn grins, rubbing his hands together excitedly. "All the girls brought their lips."

"Shawn, there's a girl with braces." Cory notices. "What if I get her? She could cut my tongue, and I'll bleed all over my shirt." He glances at a blonde-haired girl named Sally. "Sally's wearing wool. I'm allergic." He looks at his best friends with a nervous expression. "What if I sneeze in her mouth and pop her lungs?"

Gwen shakes her head. "That can't happen."

Shawn wraps an arm around Cory's shoulders, guiding him over to the snack table, and Gwen follows them. "Relax, man," Shawn said to Cory. "Have a snack." He takes his arm off Cory. "Carbo load for the big race."

Cory stares at the bean dip with wide eyes. "With bean dip?" He gestures to the bean dip, looking at Shawn with a wide-eyed expression. "Are you out of your mind?"

Shawn looks at him with furrowed eyebrows. "What are you worried about, your breath?"

Cory puts two fingers over his mouth, and a panicked expression forms on his face. "My breath." He lowers his fingers, looking at his best friends as he still panics. "I didn't even think about that. Oh, man. I'm going to kill them coming and going. I'll blow us both out of the closet." Gwen smiles a bit upon noticing Topanga walking down the steps. Topanga locks eyes with her and smiles, waving at her. Gwen waves back at her as the blonde girl stands behind Cory. "I'm getting out of here." Cory turned around and was going to leave, but he couldn't since Topanga stood in front of him.

Topanga smiles at Cory. "Hi, Cory."

Cory puts two fingers over his mouth. "Hi, Topanga. Boy, what a great party, huh? It was great! I was in the closest for fourteen minutes. I'm gonna go home and ice my lips." Cory went to run out of the building and failed since Gwen and Shawn had grabbed his arms to pull him back.

"Cory!" Gwen shouted the same time Shawn did.

"Eric was right. Too much can go wrong." Cory nervously said.

Letting go of Cory's arm, Gwen's eyes widen with surprise. "Wait, Eric was right about something? Wow, I never thought that would happen."

"Cory, chill. You're going to be fine." Shawn assures the curly-haired boy. "And you know why? 'Cause right up until the second you go into that closet, Gwen and I will be right here with you, no matter what."

"It's Cory, Gwen, and Shawn." Gwen chimes in, smiling at the curly-haired boy. "Always."

"Shawn and Melanie!" A voice called out.

Shawn smiles. "See ya!" He then walked over to the closet with a dark-haired girl.

Gwen feels her heart ache upon watching them walk over to the closest. What surprised her though is that before Shawn closes the door, he locks eyes with her, looking as if he was wondering if she was okay with what's happening. Gwen forced a smile and nodded which was all Shawn needed to see. Shawn looked hesitant though while he closed the door, not fully believing if Gwen was okay with him going in the closest with Melanie.

"Gwen," Gwen glances at the curly-haired boy beside her when he said her name. He looks at her with concern in his eyes. "Are you okay?"

Gwen nods. "I'm fine." She replied in a reassuring tone, and she wasn't for sure if she was trying to reassure Cory or herself.

****

Soon Shawn's and Melanie's turn was over. "Alright, kids. Now time's up." The boy opening the door said. Shawn tries closing the door, but the boy stops him. "Come on, come on. No overtime, no extra innings." He opened the door, and Shawn and Melanie walked out with smiles on their faces.

Gwen's heart ache more upon seeing how happy Shawn was and she didn't miss the fact that Shawn wasn't wearing the same shirt he wore when he went in the closet. "Is that the shirt you went in with?" Cory asked, pointing at the different shirt Shawn wore.

Shawn glances at the shirt he has on and giggles. "No." He looks at Cory with a smile. "Cory, the closet is your friend."

Then someone calls out the two names he never wanted to hear together. "Kamden and Gwen!"

Gwen perks up upon hearing Kamden's name, her lips forming into a smile as she looks around the room for the familiar blonde. She didn't see him when she arrived, so she was surprised (and happy) to find out he was there. Shawn couldn't help the frown that formed on his lips at seeing how happy she seemed to be about going in the closet with Kamden.

Gwen locks eyes with Kamden as he makes his way through the crowd to the door, and his face brightens upon seeing her smile at him. He had to admit he was dreading going to this party, but just seeing her smiling at him was worth going to this party. Gwen glanced at her two best friends with a small smile before she walked over to the closet, meeting Kamden there.

Before Gwen knew it, she was standing in the dark closet with Kamden. To say Gwen was nervous was an understatement. She felt like her heart was pounding out of her chest. "How do they expect us to do anything with the light off?" Gwen wondered out loud, mentally scolding herself for saying that out loud because that's embarrassing. Her face was a bright pink as the light turned on and she didn't realize how close she and Kamden were until just then. There was only a few inches between them and the way he was smiling at her had butterflies swarming in her stomach.

"Is that better?" Kamden questioned.

"Y-Yeah." Gwen stuttered out a reply, not being able to smiling or look away from his pretty hazel eyes.

A few seconds of awkward silence go by with them staring at each other and smiling, neither one not knowing what to say or do next. "So, um," Kamden rubs the back of his neck nervously and tilts his head to the side. "Knock knock?"

Gwen laughs, not expecting for him to say a knock knock joke. "Who's there?"

"Honeydew." Kamden responded.

Gwen raises her eyebrows, wondering where this was going. "Honeydew who?"

"Honeydew do you know you look fine right now?" Kamden questioned, looking at her with a cheeky smile and a slight blush on his face.

Gwen giggles, her face flushing as she smiles shyly. "That's so corny, but I love it." Her heart fluttered at the relieved look on his face that was soon replaced by a fond expression.

"Thanks." Kamden smiles. He shrugs. "I normally don't use pick-up lines, but I didn't know what else to say, and I figured that would help calm us down so we don't have to act like we never hung out together before."

"That's sweet, thank you." Gwen tells him. She sighs. "I know things like this always make me nervous and makes me overthink more than I should."

"Same here." Kamden agrees. "I mean, I wasn't even planning on going to this until my sister suggested," He shakes his head and corrects himself. "No, more like demanded for me to go to this party. Her reason was because she was having friends over and didn't want me there since she thought I would bother them." He rolls his eyes. "I'm the bad guy because I 'accidentally' pranked my sister and her friends one time."

Gwen chuckles and tilts her head to the side. "Do I even wanna know what you did?"

"All I did was hook up a bucket of water above her bedroom door where it would pour on them when they opened the door." Kamden laughs a bit, running his hand through his blonde hair. "You should've seen their faces. It was hilarious." He grimaces. "But I did have to clean up the mess so I didn't exactly think that prank through."

"Yeah, that's what it sounds like." Gwen laughed, looking at him with a smile. Part of her was wanting to kiss him or him to kiss her, but she enjoyed getting to know him more. And Kamden just enjoyed talking with Gwen, so they just talked for the next few minutes. That is until Gwen is suddenly quiet which caught Kamden's attention.

"You okay?" Kamden asked, looking at her with worry.

Gwen bites her lower lip, bringing her gaze to the floor. "Um, do you think we should kiss?"

Kamden looks at her with a bit of surprise. He didn't think she would want to kiss, and he was surprised with how bold she was with asking that. He was too nervous even to mention that they're supposed to be kissing instead of talking. When she doesn't hear a response, Gwen grows more nervous. She glances at Kamden and stutters, "I-I mean, we don't have to if you don't want to. I'm clearly nervous since I never had my first kiss before, but it's just that," She points at the door, mentally scolding herself because now she was rambling. "They're expecting that we kissed in here, and if we didn't I'm sure they would make fun of us or some-"

Gwen's rambling is interrupted by Kamden pressing his lips to hers. Gwen's eyes widen and she feels her heart stop. She couldn't believe this was happening. Her first kiss. She has her eyes open like a weirdo and she's not even kissing back. Before she could get over her stage of shock and kiss him back, Kamden pulls away, opening eyes with a shy smile on his face, and his face is a light pink color. "S-Sorry." He apologized. He avoided eye contact with her as he fidgeted with his hands folded in front of him. Fidgeting with his hands is something he does when he's nervous.

"It's just that-well, you looked so cute when you were rambling, and I didn't know how to make you stop other than kissing you and I honestly really wanted to kiss you so I...I did." He stammered out an explanation, nervously looking at her. She didn't say anything, causing him to worry that she didn't like the kiss or maybe she didn't want to kiss or-his thoughts were cut off when Gwen kissed him.

This time Gwen had her eyes closed and she put her hands on his shoulder as she lean forward to kiss him. She felt her heart skip a beat when he kissed her back. He had his eyes closed as he nervously put his hands on her waist. He wasn't for sure where to put them and eventually just decided to rest them on her waist. This was his first kiss too so he was inexperienced. But for being two inexperienced teens they thought this kiss was amazing.

A few seconds later, they both pull away only because of needing stupid air to breathe. They both are smiling at each other, hearts beating fast, and both were blushing. "That was..." Kamden's voice trailed off. He furrowed his eyebrows, glancing at the floor while he tried to figure out a word to describe how great that kiss was.

Gwen tilts her head to the side, raising her eyebrows as the smile still stayed on her lips. "Wow?"

"Yeah," Kamden nods, looking back at her with a bright smile. "Wow."

****

Later that night, Gwen found herself awake in bed, replaying the scene of her and Kamden at the party in her mind. She couldn't believe she had her first kiss. It was better than anything she imagined. Even though she did hope that Shawn would be her first kiss, she would be lying if she said she didn't mind Kamden being her first kiss. And it made her feel happy to know that she was Kamden's first kiss.

She tried going back to sleep, but she had no success. So now she was reading a book. She had her back rested against the headboard of her bed, and the light of the lamp on her nightstand was on. She furrowed her eyebrows when she heard a knock on her window. She shook her head and went back to reading, assuming it was just a tree branch hitting the window since there was a tree right near her window. She was too into her reading to hear the window opening and someone climbing inside.

When she heard it shut close, she was on high alert. She puts her bookmark in place before closing the book and setting it to the side. "Stranger danger!" She quickly grabs her book and gets out of bed. "Get out!" She went over to the intruder and began hitting them with the thick book. She knew this probably wasn't the best solution to this situation, but it was the first thing that she thought of doing.

"G! Gwen!" Shawn raises his arms in front of him to cover himself as she continues to hit his shoulder with the book. He winces. "Ow, it's me, Shawn! Stop hitting me with a book!"

Upon recognizing his voice, Gwen immediately stops hitting him and opens her eyes since she had her eyes closed. When she sees the small glare on Shawn's face, she grimaces, lowering her arms. She sheepishly smiles. "Sorry, Shawn."

Sighing, Shawn lowers his arms. "It's okay." He furrows his eyebrows, pointing at the book she held. "Why did you hit me with a book?"

"I didn't know who you were!" Gwen defends herself and walks over to her nightstand to set her book down. "I thought you were an intruder."

Shawn chuckles and points over his shoulder at her window. "Well, it's your fault for not keeping your window locked. You could get crazy people coming to your room."

Gwen sets the book down on her nightstand, glancing back at him with raised eyebrows and a teasing smile. "Oh, you mean like you?"

"Ha ha." Shawn sarcastically comments, rolling his eyes playfully. He runs a hand through his hair and glances at the floor. "So, uh, I heard that you had your first kiss with that Kameron."

"Kamden." Gwen corrects his name and Shawn scoffs, a bit (okay, maybe a lot) jealous that she cared enough about Kamden to correct his name. "And yeah, I did." She turns to face Shawn and she had a dreamy smile on her lips. "It was pretty great."

"Okay, I don't need to hear all the details." Shawn grumbled and crossed his arms, staring at the floor with a frown. Yes, he wanted to make sure that what he heard from others was true about Gwen and Kamden kissing, but he didn't want to know how great it was or everything that happened during their moment. He had left the party after Gwen and Kamden walked in the closet. He didn't want to see how happy they were together, and by the way Gwen was smiling just by the mention of the kiss he figured it was good which made him even more upset.

Gwen furrows her eyebrows, wondering why he was suddenly acting all grumpy. "What's your deal, Shawn?" She asks. She walks back over to stand in front of him and sighs. "I mean, you just climb into my bedroom window at midnight," She points at him, and he glances at her, still having a pouty look on his face. "Which I find really weird by the way. You ask how my first kiss was with Kamden, and then you act like you don't even care." She raised her arms with frustration while she spoke. She was frustrated as to why he suddenly changed moods. If he was just going to come over to judge her for kissing Kamden, then he shouldn't have gone to her house in the first place.

Shawn sighs heavily and then admits something he thought he would never admit to her. "I'm jealous, okay? That's why I left the party before you and Kamden got out of that stupid closet." He mumbles, mockingly saying Kamden's name. "And that's why I've been acting weird." He runs a hand through his brunette-colored hair, glancing at her with a shy smile. "I like you, and by like I mean, my feelings are so strong for you that I think I may even be in love with you." He groans, raising his arms out of frustration. "And I promised myself I would never fall in love with you. But it was two in the morning, we were both laughing, and I couldn't remember how long it has been," He looks at her with nothing but adoration and love. "Since I felt as happy as I did at that moment with you. That's when I knew I was screwed."

Gwen stares at him with a wide-eyed expression and her face was a bright red color. She didn't know what to say. She remembered the night he was talking about as if it was yesterday. It was one weekend where they had a sleepover. They both couldn't go back to sleep, and it was two in the morning so suggested for them to build a fort. She doesn't even remember what they were laughing at, but it was probably at something stupid Shawn did. That night was one of her favorite memories she has with Shawn. Gwen never expected for Shawn to be in love with her or even tell her that. Out of all the girls in the world he might be in love with her. The very thought surprised her because so many other girls were far more pretty than she is. But the fact that her crush feels the same way just made her beyond happy.

Shawn bites his lower lip nervously when Gwen continues to be quiet, and his heartbeat increases. "Oh great," He sarcastically comments, his lips forming into a frown, and Gwen could tell he was worried. "I just ruined our friendship, didn't I?" He shakes his head and began to pace in front of her. "I just ruined a lifelong friendship because of some stupid feelings and now things are gonna be weird between us and I don't want to loose you because of what I did." He stops pacing, turning to face her with a worried expression. "Let's just pretend this never happen, yeah?" He doesn't let her answer and makes his way to her bedroom window. "Okay, good! I'll see you at school tomorrow."

Before he could walk away, Gwen finally gets her senses back and grabs the back of his shirt to pull him to her. He lets out a surprise yelp as she turns him around to face her. "I don't want to pretend this ever happened." Gwen whispered. She locked eyes with him, feeling her nerves skyrocketing and her face heating up because of what she was about to do, which she never thought she would do.

Shawn feels his heartbeat increase, and he stares at her with confusion, wondering what she meant by that, but he hoped it meant that she felt the same way. His eyes widen, and his body stiffens when she suddenly grabs a fistful of his shirt and yanks him forward before she kissed him. It didn't take him long to calm down and kiss her back. He closed his eyes, wrapping his arms around her waist to pull her closer during the kiss.

There were no words to describe how this kiss felt to the two preteens. Amazing, wonderful, and magical were just three words to describe how the kiss was. Gwen knew that she shouldn't be kissing another boy just a few hours after she kissed a boy, but she couldn't help herself. To be honest, kissing Shawn was something Gwen dreamt of doing ever since she realized her crush on him, and she couldn't believe she was brave enough to actually do it. Her plan wasn't to pull him by his shirt, but her mind just sort of went blank. And before she knew it and before she could stop, she had grabbed his shirt and pulled him to her.

A few moments later, they pull away when they need air to breathe. Gwen opened her eyes, letting go of his shirt with a wide smile on her face. Butterflies were dancing around in her stomach, and her face was a bright red color. Shawn still had his eyes closed, but blush was on his face along with a dreamy smile.

A panicked expression forms on Gwen's face when she thinks of something, and she takes Shawn's hands off her to step away from him even though part of her didn't want to. "Oh, this is bad."

That got Shawn to open his eyes. He looks at her with furrowed eyebrows. "What? No," He chuckles, looking at her with a smile. "This-that kiss was very good."

"No, this is bad." Gwen shakes her head, biting her lower lip as she begins to pace. "I just kissed two boys in one day. I never do that. I'm not that type of person. You are." She stops pacing, looking at him with an apologetic expression. "No offense."

"Can't be offended 'cause it's true." Shawn shrugs. He locks eyes with her and smiles reassuringly at her. "But I would never be that way with you."

Gwen's heart skips a beat upon hearing that because she knows he's telling the truth, and she looked at him with a fond expression. But then her mind goes back to Kamden, and she just thinks how awful of a person she is. Kissing Shawn the same day she kissed Kamden isn't fair. Right? She never did something like this before, and she doesn't know what to do because she liked both boys a lot.

"Shawn, I feel the same way about you." Gwen admits and a bright smile made its way to Shawn's face. "I have for a long time now. But I also have feelings for Kamden," The smile on Shawn's face is replaced with a frown, and his shoulders drop in defeat. Gwen hated that she was the one to make him upset, but she didn't know what else to do. She couldn't ignore her feelings for Kamden, and if something could happen between them she wanted to try to see if they could be a couple. "And I just-I just need some time to figure things out."

Shawn is quiet for a few moments, staring at the ground with his hands in his pockets. Gwen nervously stares at him, wishing he would say something because she hated how quiet it was. "Okay." She tilts her head to the side when he said that and stays silent as he looks back at her. He sends her a small smile and nods. "I'll wait for you." He grins. "And in the meantime, I'll just have to try and charm you so I can be the one to capture your heart."

Gwen giggled a bit and smiled softly at him, feeling butterflies swarm in her stomach again. She wanted to tell him he had already captured her heart, but she couldn't help let her mind wander to Kamden and how much she liked the sweet blonde, and it made her rethink maybe Shawn hasn't captured her heart yet. But how is she ever going to choose between these great boys? There was one thing she was for sure about this, and it was the fact that she was in trouble.
