The taxi slammed into the sign sideways. It was enough to break the radio and shake up all the animals inside the vehicle. Hearing the music die down, Gidget got to her paws. Someone had opened the door already so she hopped out of the taxi. Trotting away to allow others room to get out, the fluffy white Pomeranian's ears perked up when she heard someone calling, "Uh, hey Gidget! Wait up!"

"Oh, uh hi Max!" Gidget replied, realizing that it had been her crush speaking to her. Padding up so he could face her, the Jack Russell terrier mumbled nervously, "Uh, hi! Um..." At this moment, Gidget could feel her tail wagging nonstop. And it was picking up speed. Whipping her head around, she scolded it, "Stay cool." Turning back to face Max, the Pomeranian laughed nervously before lowering her head in shame.

"Uh yeah, I just wanted to... um..." Max stammered. Coughing to clear his throat, he looked Gidget dead in the eye as he stated, "Look." Sighing softly, the Jack Russell terrier began, "Have you ever lived across from someone your whole life but... but you don't actually appreciate them until... until... I don't know, until they're beating up a bunch of animals on the Brooklyn Bridge. What I'm trying to say is, if you ever wanna-"

Yipping in delight as her tail wagged nonstop again, Gidget launched herself at Max. "Whoa! Okay!" Max called out, surprised by what just happened. Licking his face happily, the fluffy white Pomeranian nuzzled the Jack Russell terrier lovingly. This moment was too perfect, nothing could ruin it.

"Aww, great! You're in love," the elderly wheelchair bound basset hound Pops remarked as he strolled over, "How gross for everyone else. Now move it!" Glancing at each other in embarrassment, Max and Gidget could only smile nervously at each other while all their friends, both new and old, bid their farewells. Her heart fluttering in her chest, Gidget giggled quietly and yipped, "Bye Max!"

"Bye Gidget!" Max replied, wagging his tail. Watching her walk away, he knew deep in his heart that she was the one...
