"Hey, it's me, Ricky. Yeah, you probably already knew that 'cause of the caller ID. Um,  anyway, I saw you singing with Ashlyn today, and I just wanted to let you know that you sounded amazing. I kinda thought maybe we had, like, a moment or something. I'm not for sure what to think of it really. Just hearing you sing so beautifully kind of shocked me. I just wanted to let you know you are really talented and should sing more often. I could've just told you that in person, I guess I just couldn't wait to tell you that. Um, okay, I'm gonna go now. Bye."

Ricky thought that he had sent the voicemail to Ophelia, but he didn't. Instead he accidentally sent it to Nini. And since EJ now had Nini's phone EJ heard the voicemail and thought that Ricky was talking about Nini and was quick to delete the voicemail.

At practice the next day of school the dancers, Fallon being included since she's was also a dancer when she wasn't Kelsi, rehearsed the dance part of 'Stick To The Status Quo'. Ophelia now had a habit of always bring her camera with her to rehearsals and had taken a few pictures of them all dancing. She was always amazed by the dancer's skills and wished that she could move like that. Fallon had tried teaching her to dance when they were younger, but Ophelia had twisted her ankle in the process and decided that dancing wasn't for her.

And when Gina did her dance solo she, of course, killed it. "Everybody hold!" Miss Jenn exclaimed at the end of the dance. She went over to where Nini now stood. "Nini, where were you? We've been here for an hour."

Nini walks over to her as she speaks. "I'm so sorry. I-I lost my phone and spent last night living as a hunter-gatherer, which, by the way, did you know there are things that are only on TV at a certain time?"

From where he sat beside Ophelia, Luca looks at the girl beside him with furrowed eyebrows. "Isn't that obvious that shows and movies are on TV at a certain time?"

Ophelia shrugs. "Apparently not."

"Wait, did you say an hour?" Nini asked.

Miss Jenn nods. "Gina sent you and me a text asking if we could come in early so she could talk through a new idea. You didn't get it?"

"No because my phone was missing." Nini responded.

"You've gotta keep better track of your stuff." Miss Jenn told her.

From where she was standing talking to one of the other dancers named Steph, Fallon didn't fail to notice the guilty look on EJ's face. Seeing that look made her think maybe he stole Nini's phone. Miss Jenn then suggested for Gina to show Nini the new dance for the two of them.

After taking a couple of pictures of Gina showing Nini the new dance Ophelia turned her attention back to the book she was reading. The book being the second book to the series 'The Hunger Games'. She had watched all the movies, but thought it would be fun to read the books since she heard that the books and movies are different from each other.

"Hey, Lia." She glanced up from the book, smiling a bit upon seeing Ricky standing in front of her.

Ricky smiles at her. "How was your night?"

Ophelia shrugs. "It was fine, I guess." She sent him a smile, excusing herself so she can go back to reading since she wanted to finish this book.

Rick walked off to the side with a frown on his lips, wondering if that's how she felt about the voicemail he left her and he had a bad feeling that it was.

Ricky was at Big Red's house, telling him about the voicemail he sent Ophelia and how something different was happening with them. "You know 'fine' can be a good thing." Big Red assures Ricky. "Not that I would know if it's true, but it could. Why does it matter anyway what she thought about the voicemail?"

"I don't know." Ricky shakes his head, stepping off his skateboard he was standing on. "It's just-Lately, I feel, like, maybe I'm starting to have different feelings for Ophelia."

Big Red furrows his eyebrows. "How so?"

"Not for sure yet." Ricky sighs. "I just know that I think I'm starting to think of her as more than a best friend which scares me. I don't want anything to change between us and I don't wanna lose her. And today it seemed like she didn't want to talk to me at all."

"I don't think you will ever lose her." Big Red comments. "And maybe she didn't want to talk to you today 'cause you were bugging her by trying too hard and leaving a sad voicemail."

Ricky looks at him with a expression that just read 'help'. "Just tell me what to do."

"Just be yourself," Big Red informs Ricky. "Or, you know, be the bigger man."

"Okay," Ricky furrows his eyebrows. "Pick one."

"Definitely the bigger man." Big Red said. "You're the lead in the play, dude. It's time to act like it."

(this is what ophelia wears for the rest of the chapter)

The next day at school Ophelia wore a white t-shirt with designs on it, black sweatpants, and black tennis shoes. She went with simple makeup, her black colored hair was up in a bun, and she also wore a pink bracelet. She was talking with Fallon about having a sleepover that night. She was leaned up against the locker beside Fallon's as the brunette-haired girl put away the textbooks she didn't need.

"Okay, so you'll just go with me?" Ophelia asks Fallon, tilting her head to the side. "Or do you need to stop at your house to get some clothes?"

Fallon is quiet for a moment as she looks at her locker, zoning out for a few seconds. She shakes her head, apologetically smiling at Ophelia when she realized she zoned out. "Yeah, and I didn't bring extra clothes since I live next door to you." She closes her locker, glancing towards the bomb shelter that was nearby when she heard a loud thud. "I just figured I could walk over to my house to get clothes I need."

Ophelia nods, sheepishly smiling, and rubs the back of her neck. "Right. Sorry, Fal, I forgot you lived right next door."

There was practice currently happening, but this one Miss Jenn only needed some of the boys since it was a Troy and Chad scene along with the basketball team. Eva (who's first name is actually Evadne, but she prefers to go by Eva), one of the girl seniors, was in charge of taking pictures of drama club practice today to give Ophelia a break which she appreciated. She and Eva got along well. Eva even started to become like an older sister to Ophelia over the time they spent hanging out together in yearbook club.

Ophelia raised her eyebrows at Fallon, noticing she was staring in the direction the bomb shelter is at. A few seconds later EJ walks out of the room with a bloody lip which made the two girl's eyes widen. As EJ walked by them, Fallon didn't fail to notice he didn't look happy at all. She felt like maybe he needed some kind of comfort. EJ glanced at the two girls when he walked by them as well, locking eyes with Fallon. It was only a split second, but seeing the upset look on his face made Fallon sad.

"I'll see you later." Fallon said to Ophelia, closing her locker.

Ophelia smirks. "You're gonna go check on EJ, aren't you?"

"Yeah, why? You got a problem with that?" Fallon tilts her head to the side, glancing at Ophelia with raised eyebrows. She begins to walk backwards down the hallway that EJ walked down. She didn't even give Ophelia time to reply before she said, "Yeah, didn't think so. I'll see you later."

Ophelia laughs, waving at her girl best friend while muttering under her breath, "She's so head over heels for him."

"Who is head over heels for who?"

Ophelia let out a yelp of surprise, jumping back a little since she was startled by the sudden voice. She turns to her right to where she heard the voice, letting out a sigh of relief upon seeing it was Ricky who was looking at her with amusement. "Dude, don't scare me like that."

"Sorry." Ricky chuckles. He smiles teasingly at her. "The reaction I got from you was funny though."

Ophelia chuckles in a mocking way, rolling her eyes. "So, is practice over? How was it?"

Ricky slowly nods, pressing his lips together in a tight line. "It was...Interesting."

"Oh?" Ophelia raises her eyebrows. "I'm intrigued."

"Miss Jenn thought it would be a good idea to improvise by using throwing around a basketball." Ricky explains. "One thing led to another and I accidentally threw a basketball at EJ's face."

Ophelia's eyes widen. "Seriously?" She furrows her eyebrows, shaking her head. "Wait, how do you accidentally throw a basketball at someone's face?"

"It was an accident!" Ricky defends himself and he looks guilty. "I didn't mean to do it. I feel bad about it."

"Maybe you should tell EJ that." Ophelia suggests, sending him a small smile. "Maybe also apologize. I mean, that won't heal his busted lip, but it might make him feel better. I'm right about this. I know it."

Ricky is quiet as he stares at his shoes. He sighs heavily, looking back at Ophelia. "Alright. I'll go apologize."

Ophelia pats his shoulder, looking at him with a smile. "Good luck."

Ricky chuckles lightly and starts walking down the hallway. "Thanks, Lia. I'll need it."

While Ophelia and Ricky were talking, Fallon went to the cafeteria to get an ice pack for EJ since she knew that the ice would help reduce the pain and reduce the swelling. After getting a ice pack she went to find EJ. Just as she walked around the corner of one hallway she saw EJ walking out of the men's bathroom.

"Hey, EJ." Fallon greets, looking at him with a small smile when he looks at her. She holds up the ice pack she held. "Um, I figured you might need this 'cause of whatever happened in practice."

"Oh," EJ blinks in surprise, not expecting her to do that. His lips curl upward a bit while Fallon hands him the ice pack. Neither of the two teens didn't fail to notice the spark they felt when their fingers touched when she handed him the ice pack. "Thank you, Fallon."

"It's not a problem." Fallon smiles, shrugging her shoulders. Her eyes widen when she realized something. "Wait a second, you know my name?"

EJ chuckles. "Of course I do. You're, like, one of the most talented dancers in this school."

Fallon blushes and her eyes widen, surprised to hear a compliment from her crush. "W-Wow." She couldn't help the wide smile that forms on her lips, and she looks away from him shyly. "Um, thank you."

EJ nods, looking at her with a smile, thinking she was cute when she blushed. He presses the ice pack to his busted lip and leans against the wall. "And also I know you since you were at the auditions."

"Right. Yes, that makes sense." Fallon awkwardly smiles and she walks over to him. "So," She leans against the wall beside him and for a few moments she doesn't know what to do with her arms, but then she just settles on crossing them. EJ looks at her with an amused smile and she glances at him with a sheepish smile. "Uh, what exactly happened in practice that made you end up with this injury?"

"We were doing some improv for a Troy and Chad scene involving throwing a basketball around. And then all of a sudden a basketball was thrown at my face." EJ sighed.

"Yikes." Fallon comments, mentally scolding her for saying something like that. "Well, I'm guessing Ricky is the one who did it." She smiles a bit at him. "But if it means anything, I don't think he would purposefully throw a basketball at you."

EJ scoffs, shaking his head as he takes the ice pack away from his busted lip. "It seemed like he wanted to throw that basketball at me today."

Fallon glances to the left, noticing Ricky walking towards them with an apologetic look on his face. "It looks like he might want to apologize to you."

EJ looks in the direction she is and rolls his eyes upon seeing Ricky. He looks back at Fallon when he felt her hand on his shoulder. "Just hear him out and try to act civil with him, alright?"

Even though EJ didn't want to talk with Ricky at all after what just happened, but for some reason it was hard for him to say no to Fallon. He sighs heavily, his shoulders dropping in defeat. "Okay."

Fallon smiled, giving his shoulder a gentle squeeze before she walked down the hallway. When she got around the corner she went around earlier she did a little happy dance. She now knows that EJ knew who she is this whole time, and she just had the longest conversation with him she ever had plus he basically complimented her. That moment with EJ just made her whole year.

Ophelia was waiting in her car for Fallon. She had the music turned up all the way and she was singing along to the soundtrack of the movie 'Lemonade Mouth'. She honestly thought that movie had one of the best soundtracks and all of the songs were so catchy. She was halfway through singing 'She's So Gone' at the top of her lungs when she heard a pounding noise on the window. She dropped her phone she was using as a microphone, letting out a small yell as she turned to her right to see Fallon was laughing at her.

Ophelia picked up her phone, turning down the music, and unlocked the car. Laughter is heard as Fallon opens the door and sits in the passenger seat. "You should've seen the look on your face!" Fallon remarks, closing the door once she got in. "It was priceless."

Ophelia mockingly laughs. "Very funny, Fal." She pouts. "You should've gave me a warning instead of making me stop my concert."

"Sorry, O." Fallon chuckled.

"It's fine." Ophelia assures, shaking her head. She looks at Fallon with a teasing smile, reaching over to playfully shove Fallon. "So, how did things go with EJ?"

Fallon slaps her hand away, feeling the blush creep up her neck. "It was fine. I just gave him an ice pack and we talked." She smiles dreamily. "And he complimented me so I can die in peace now."

"You are crazy." Ophelia chuckled while putting her seatbelt on.

Fallon nods. "Crazy in love." She made grabby hands to Ophelia after she put her seatbelt on. "Now, gimme your phone. I heard you're listening to the 'Lemonade Mouth' soundtrack. That music is my jam."

Ophelia laughs a bit and hands her phone over to Fallon since she had her phone connected to her car via Bluetooth. The two best friends began to have their own concert in their car as Ophelia drove to her house. She wouldn't normally sing with Fallon, but after singing with Ashlyn yesterday Ophelia started to get more confident with singing. She realized how stupid her fear was and that she didn't have any reason not to sing in front of others.
