"Can you believe that Ricky showed up?" Ophelia asks Fallon the next morning. They were both still in bed, the rest of the girls were up doing their own thing. "I mean, he just suddenly decides to want to come to camp and to be honest I'm really glad he did. Not gonna lie I'm so relieved and glad that he broke up with Lily...Is is bad that I feel that way?"

"If I agree will you shut up?" Fallon asked in a whiney voice as she covered her ears with her pillow to try and go back to sleep. She clearly wasn't a morning person and neither was Ophelia, but with the other girls already awake she couldn't go back to sleep wtih all the commotion happening in the cabin.

"Sorry, I've been talking a lot, haven't I?" Ophelia realized, speaking in a sheepish tone.

"Just a bit." Fallon mutters. "And wanna guess who it all was about? Starts with an R, ends with an Icky."

Ophelia chuckles. "Sorry I've been talking about Ricky so much." She blushes. "I didn't even mean to do that. Just when I first started talking about him I can't stop for some reason until someone stops me." She gasps when a pillow was thrown at her. "Fal, what was that for?"

"To get you to stop." Fallon replies in a duh tone. "Did it work?"

"Yeah, it worked." Ophelia chuckles and throws the pillow back up to Fallon, who caught it. "Okay, I'm gonna go get ready."

The girls in the Carnation Cabin were now getting ready for the day and making their bed. "Please tell me I'm no the only one who's nervous about the fact a camera is gonna follow us around the whole time?" Kadence asked nervously.

"Trust me, you're not the only one." Ophelia replies with a sigh. "Just thinking about that is making me want to back out of this. This would be my third time on stage and to make it worse it's gonna be in front of the whole world."

"Yeah, that's a lot of pressure." Eliana said sympathetically. "Sorry you have to go through it. But I'm sure you can do it." She smiles. "And don't worry, you got all of us to lean on."

"Yeah, she's right." Anaya chimes in with a smile. "All of us are, like, sisters now so if any of us need anything this summer  we can tell each other about it. Deal?"

Everyone smiles and nod in agreement. "Deal."

After Ophelia got ready for the day, she left the cabin and head to the mess hall for breakfast. On her way to the mess hall, she ran into Ricky. "Hey, Rick." She smiles at him. "I was just gonna get some breakfast before auditions started."

"Yeah, me too." Ricky admits with a smile. He chuckles. "Great minds think alike."

She grins at him s they walk together to the mess hall. "So...I know you probably don't wanna talk about this but I gotta know 'cause I'm dying not knowing what happened with you and Lily." She commented earning a small laugh from Ricky. Rick smiled at her in amusement at her dramaticness.

Ricky sighs. "Okay, so, before we left for the trip, I found out that she was the one who stole the harness."

Her eyes widen in surprise. "Wait, really? Wow, that's cruel."

"And on top of that she doesn't even call me Ricky." Ricky continues, sounding frustrated. "She calls me Richie. I mean, at least call me Richard if you're not gonna call me Ricky or Rick like you do." He said, pointing at her.

"Hey, Rick is only for me to call you that." Ophelia said defensively, chuckling along with him when he chuckled and raised his hands in defense.

"Yes, ma'am." Ricky teases. He shakes his head and continues. "So anyway, I knew it was time to ended things with her and that's why I broke up with her."

"Are you okay?" Ophelia asks in concern. "We both know breakups suck." She said softly.

Ricky chuckles and nods, putting his hands in his pockets. "Yeah, we do." He smiles a bit. "But I'm fine, Lia. Thanks. So Carlos was telling me that we're putting on Frozen. And it's gonna be a documentary that's premiered on Disney+."

"Yeah," Ophelia said excitedly. "Isn't that awesome?"

"It is." Ricky agrees. "I bet you'll get Anna."

"Why Anna? Not that I mind. I love Anna." Ophelia admits. "She's one of my favorite characters besides Kristoff and Olaf."

Ricky shrugs, smiling a little. "I dunno. I just see you as an Anna. I mean, you're caring, kind, free-spirited, a little awkward," He adds, laughing along with Ophelia as he nudges her. "And loyal. I think you'd be a great Anna."

Ophelia smiles softly, glancing at him fondly. "Thanks Rick, I appreciate that." She grins. "I'm even more proud you not only remembered the character's names and knew what Anna's personality was like."

"Hey, it's all thanks to you making me watch Frozen 1 and 2 basically on repeat during winter break." Ricky chuckled.

"I told you watching the movies all the time would pay off." Ophelia commented.

Soon everyone was gathered in the barn where the auditions were being held. Everyone was now warming up their vocals before auditions started. Ophelia was standing by Fallon and the girls from their cabin when she saw Fallon looking at a blonde EJ was hugging. "Fal, you alright?" She asked in concern.

"Who's that?" Fallon inquired, feeling that pang of jealousy again. She wasn't usually a jealous person, but she couldn't help it. Especially when someone looked that pretty and was up close and personal with her boyfriend.

"Val." Anaya replies. "She's been here for so long that she's a Shallow Lake CIT. She and EJ are pretty close." She smiled.

"Yeah, I noticed." Fallon mumbled.

"EJ and Val also played Gretl and Kurt together in 'The Sound of Music' before. That bond is unbreakable." Anaya continues, grimacing when she saw the look Ophelia sent her. "Probably didn't need to say that and okay I'm leaving." She sent her and Fallon an apologetic look before walking away to one of her other friends.

Ophelia glance at Fallon with concern, noticing the sad look on her face. "Fal..."

"I'm fine." Fallon interrupts her. "They're just friends, right? I'm fine."

"You don't sound or look fine, but okay." Ophelia muttered.

Val walks on stage, calling out to everyone with a smile. "Hey, everyone. I'm Val," She introduces herself as everyone moves to stand in front of the stage. "And not too long ago, I was just like you, waiting in the wings for my chance at stardom. Then I went ot college and my dreams of Broadway were instantly dashed by my Intro-To-Movement professor, who said I wasn't convincing as a human being."

Ashlyn laughs since she assumed that Val was joking. Then she grimaces when she realized it was real. "Wow."

"But now I'm a psych major." Val chuckles. "And I'm also your choreographer. The director will kick off the auditions in just a moment."

"Corbin Bleu. Whoo!" Ashlyn excitedly said while everyone dispersed and did their own things before auditions.

Fallon went over to talk with EJ, hitting his shoulder. "Ow, what was that for?" He winced.

"You haven't told the others you're directing the show yet." Fallon reminds him, causing him to sigh. She had talked to him earlier before auditions and found out that he was directing the play and Corbin was directing the show of the play. "You need to tell them before Ashlyn continues to gush over Corbin Bleu and talk about how she'll be gazing into his beautiful brown eyes." He raises his eyebrows at the last part about the beautiful brown eyes and she raises her hands in defense. "Her words, not mine." She smiles a bit. "But they are pretty."

EJ smiles at her in amusement. "Don't worry, I'll tell everyone. In a second." He shakes his head, looking nervous. "I just need a second. So, in two seconds."

Fallon grabs his hand, stopping him from backing away. "Eej," She said in a stern tone. "You know you can tell me what's bothering you. What's wrong?"

EJ sighs, knowing she's right. "I'm just nervous about directing. I never directed before. How can I ever be a good director like Miss Jenn? I'm not her." He mumbled.

"You're right." Fallon nods. "You're not her."

"Great pep talk." EJ remarked.

Fallon chuckles and rolls her eyes. "I'm not finished." He chuckles, smiling at her. "You're you. And you got this, okay? You're gonna be a great director." She continues with a soft smile. "Now just take a deep breath and relax, okay?" She said softly.

EJ nods, taking a deep breath. "Thank you, babe. You're the best." He squeezes her hand and pecks her lips. "I just need a little time before all this happens."

"Yeah, no problem." She reassures him with a smile. "Just don't freak out 'cause then I'll freak out and that would be a whole mess."

EJ chuckles and nods. "Very true." He smiled at her, squeezing her hand again before letting go and walking to an office in the barn.

Everyone was now practicing the songs they would be auditioning with. Ophelia was standing by Ashlyn and Kourtney when they each noticed two young girls talking with Gina about how they loved her TikToks. Gina also gave them advice and Ophelia didn't really agree with it. Gina told the two girls who were known as Alex and Emmy that they were now competition. Ophelia didn't see this as a competition. She thought you should just have fun because that's what camp is supposed to be about.

Ashlyn glances between the girls by her. "What'd I tell ya? Gina 1.0."

****

"Yo. We are ready." Val calls out, gathering everyone back inside. "It is time to introduce you to your director. Rocket Man himself, EJ Caswell." She gestured to EJ with a bright smile. Everyone clapped but it was hesitant. Everyone besides Ophelia and Fallon since they knew about this were clearly disappointed Corbin Bleu wasn't there.

Ashlyn frowns. "No Corbin Bleu?"

"Sorry, Ash. No Corbin Bleu." Fallon confirms sympathetically. "Corbin is directing the show of the show. It's really confusing in my opinion." She admitted.

Val gets off the stage while Maddox opens the curtain and EJ stands center stage. "Circle up." He said, his voice cracking a bit because of nerves. Soon everyone was circled up and held hands. Fallon was right by EJ's left side, squeezing his hand in an attempt to try and calm him down. She knew it worked since he took a deep breath.

Then suddenly EJ started singing 'Do You Wanna Build a Snowman?' in a high pitched voice. Before he could continue though, the doors opened and Ricky walked in wearing a ski suit.

"Frozen time!" Ricky raises his arms in the air excitedly. "Let's go."

Carlos turns to point at him. "Now that's tradition." He said, referring to Ricky being late to auditions.

****

"Okay, everyone. Let's take some grounding breaths. And we're off." Val announced.

"For those of you who I technically know, today, you're not Wildcats." EJ speaks. "Today, you're a bunch of blank canvases, strangers to me.  Today, we've never met."

"Maybe don't talk." Val intervened with a soft smile. She then walked over to start the music as the auditions started.

When the singing part was over, it was soon time for the next part. "Where are the scripts?" Kourtney asked EJ.

EJ looks nervous. "Scripts?"

"For the scene work auditions?" Gina chimed in.

"Yeah, I thought we normally use scripts for that." Luca added.

"We're doing a show with no script? What is this? Curb Your Enthusiasm?" Carlos asked

"Carlos, I'm sure there are scripts." Luca reassured him.

"Yo, Mr. Director-man." Ricky calls out. "Where do you want us all to stand?"

"Can everyone just wait one second? Please?" EJ asked nervously. Since she stood by him, Fallon intertwined her hand with his to calm down, knowing that he was anxious and nervous about this. He squeezed her hand in response.

Maddox clears her throat. "What if they all just acted out the lyrics from the songs? You know, like a dramatic reading." When no one spoke up yet, she looks nervous. "I don't know. I'm just a stage manager."

"No, that's a great idea." Gina told her.

"Yeah, I love it." Luca agreed with a smile.

EJ sends Maddox a grateful smile. "Thank you."

****

During Kourtney's turn, the doors open and this time Jett walked in. Ophelia learned that Jett was one of the boys in Carlos', EJ's, and Ricky's cabin. From what she saw of him he seemed to be reserved and quiet. She was surprised to see him there. She wondered if he could sing.

With crossed arms, Maddox turns to face Jett. "Sorry, auditions started over an hour ago."

"It's okay." EJ said in a reassuring tone and Jett stops from walking back out. "Everyone's welcome to try out."

"I'm not so sure about this." Jett spoke nervously.

EJ shakes his head. "Nobody's judging you."

Ricky steps off the stage, handing Jett a music sheet of one of the songs. "Come on." He encouraged. He backed up and sat on the edge of the stage.

Jett started singing and everyone was taken away by his singing. Ophelia thought it was sweet of Ashlyn to join on the piano when she did. Ricky was the first one up on his feet clapping for Jett when he was done. Ophelia was quick to follow along with everyone else. She couldn't believe Jett was so good at singing. Ophelia stepped off the stage, joining Ricky with walking over to Jet.

"Dude, are you kidding me?" Ricky smiled.

"Jett, that was amazing." Ophelia commented. She frowned though when Jett suddenly threw the music sheet on the piano and left the barn. She glanced at Ricky though when he spoke and she chuckled.

Ricky rolls his sleeve up as he smiles. "I have chills."
