"Mummy, kya kar rahe the aap? Miss call nahi dekhi meri?" Shehnaaz asked her Parminder Ji. It was a Tuesday evening, she had called her mother as per her free time. She had returned from her office after Sidharth had left to have dinner at his place.

"Arey kya batau puttar! Tere Papa ko tabyat thik nahi lag rahi thi toh hospital leke gaya hai abhi Shehbaz. Bahar tak chhodne gayi thi." her mother replied.

"Kya hua unko?" she worriedly asked.

"Bechaini si ho rahi hai keh rahe the." her mother answered.

"Oh, thik hai mai Shehbaz se thodi der me puch lungi phone karke. Ek toh ye Papa bhi na, mujhse baat nahi karni inhone! Mujhe pata bhi nahi unki tabiyat kaisi hai!" she anxiously blabbered.

"Shant reh tu! Aisi mujhe kam tension nahi ho rahi hai jo tu badha rah hai. Tum baap beti dono me himmat nahi hai ke ek baar khud se phone laga ke baat karle!" her mother scolded tired of the unnecessary family issue.

"Mumma, aise kyu bol rahe ho?" her eyes teared up. Her mother was right though, she didn't have the courage to call her own father because he was mad at her.

"Galat keh rahi hu kya? Bewaja baap naraz hai aur beti ne bhi manana nahi hai! Sara ka tension mere sar hota hai, ghar sambhalne ka!" her mother replied.

She however kept thinking about her father, her slightly orthodox father loved her so much that he became over protective about her. She couldn't blame him for anything that had happened between her and her ex fiancé but he somewhere happened to be the reason she was depressed. But keeping aside her father's nature and hurtful words, she loved him enough to let all of it go.

Half an hour later she called Shehbaz to ask about her Papa and found that his blood pressure had spiked up along with cholesterol. It was also detected that he had borderline hypertension. "Inhone ne doctor ke samne bataya ki BP ki goliyan khatam ho gayi thi toh kuch dino se inhone khayi hi nahi." her brother informed.

"Itni lapar-vahi! Papa ji kab apni adatein sudharenge?" she gasped.

"Samjhaya humne inko abhi. Le baat karle Papa ji se." he said, handing over the phone to their father.

"Papa ji?" she said and heard her father humm.

"Aap dhyaan kyu nahi rakhte apna?" she asked and didn't get any reply to that.

"Abhi bhi naraz ho? Acha sorry!" she apologized then.

"Nahi hu naraz." he replied and fresh tears spilled out of her eyes listening to him. She wanted to see him, hug him and get things normal in their family.

On the other side, Sidharth was sitting in the living room with his not so fun fam-jam, Adved had moved to his room post dinner to complete his assignments. The boy was still trying to get to talk to his upset mother, as a consequence of Preeti's anger; their home was surrounded by silence most of the time.

"Pri, kitni baar mafi mang chuka hai Adi!" he requested his sister.

"Uski side se mat bol tu! He's my son and I'm dealing with him, he needs this." Preeti replied, shushing her brother for once and for all. Ajay and Rita ji however nodded shortly to let him know that there had been progress in the matter.

"Vaise aap logo ko jaldi invitation card aane vala hai. Vardhan's getting married." Sidharth said.

"I know, aaj hi uski Mom ne call kiya tha, keh rahi thi sirf friends aur family ko bulayenge aur simple si shaadi hogi Jaipur me." Rita ji said.

"Wow! Kab hai shaadi?" Preeti asked.

"Ye unlog filhal decide kar rahe hai." was Sidharth's reply.

Later at the apartment, he found Shehnaaz lazing around the sofa. "Oye Moti, chal side ho!" he said, creating some space next to her and occupying it.

"Yaar, tu side me ho na. Mai pehle se thi yaha!" She chided, not letting him sit.

"Mujhe yahi baithna hai." he announced.

"Yaha mai baithi hu, godi me ayega?" she sarcastically offered and to her surprise he accepted the offer. He literally sat on her, sandwiching her between the furniture and himself.

"Haaye! Uth! Amma! Abey maine abhi khana khaya hai!" she shouted, trying to push him but he didn't even move.

"Sahi patli ho jayegi tu jaldi!" he chuckled.

"No! Amma, yaar kitna bhari hai tu! 200 kilo ke admi!" she gritted her teeth, held his hair in her fist and finally forced him to get up.

"Pagal hai tu!" she breathed. Correcting her t-shirt and sitting up.

Tere liye, he wanted to reply with for a moment. She was in her casual t-shirt and pjs with disheveled hair and a rubber band hanging loose around her wrist, and that was it to drive him crazy.

Everytime she would look at him with her soft eyes and smile, his heart swooned over her, everytime. He couldn't help cupping her face and placing his lips on hers, kissing her sweetly in the beginning and carrying her over to his lap.

She sucked back on his lips, the way he liked and the way it got him turned on. She almost shivered when his hands touched her skin, playing with the hem of her top and keeping her seated in place.

"Mmm.." a moan escaped through her lips when his hands moved further down and gave her bottoms a lovely squeeze. It made her quiver inside, she consequently fisted his hair she was caressing a minute ago and moved down from his lips, trailing kisses down his cheek and throat, getting sloppier. She sucked on a spot she found soft, taking her own sweet time to mark her place.

A little later, while they were all cuddled up in bed, Shehnaaz told him about her father's health issues. "Tabiyat zyada kharab nahi. Lekin mujhe unse milne jana hai." She said.

"Kab jaane ka plan hai phir?" he asked.

"Kal ya parso chali jau? At Least 4-5 din ruk kar aaungi, sunday tak." she said, looking up to him for suggestions.

"Teri marzi hai baby, tu jitne din ke liye jana chahti hai, ja. It's been a while since you've met them." He replied.

"I know right, after getting to know about Papa's hypertension I wonder if I could be the reason. Meri vajah se bhi kafi tension me rehte the, yadi maine hi pehle baat karli hoti toh." she mumbled.

"Toh?" He asked her to come up with whatever she was thinking.

"Shayad unko meri chinta nahi rehti yadi maine baat karli hoti." she said.

"Konsa tere Papa baat sunne ya samajhne ke mood me the jo tu kuch kar pati!" he concluded.

"I know! Lekin mann me lagta hai na!" she whined.

"Isliye toh tu milne ja rahi hai na meri jaan! Relax, okay. Tickets kab book karegi? Packing?" he asked to keep her mind off the stupid thought.

"Arey ha! Chal pehle flight hai ya nahi dekh lete hai!" she replied, grabbing her t-shirt and mobile from the night stand and sitting up to surf through the internet.

"8 baje vali hai, 11.20, 1 baje. 6 baje bhi hai. Nahi yaar 1 baje vali karte hai. Subha ek bari office jaa ke application bhi toh dena padega na?" she turned to him to ask. He nodded, sitting up behind her, shirtless and hanging a hand loose around her shoulder.

"Mera leave application type kar dena, meko packing bhi karni hai." she requested.

"Ae chalna! Ghar hi toh ja rahi hai. Itna bhi pack nahi karna hai ke ek chhota sa letter bhi nahi type kar sakti." he denied.

"Ahaa! Baby!" she cooed, snuggling into him and dropping a kiss on his chest.

"Khud letter type karke khud ko mail karu mai?" he chuckled. "Mere liye. Please." she kissed on his lips.

"Please na!" she ran a ran across his chest, kissing him again.

"Thik hai, chal bhagg abhi." he replied, trying to calm his heaving breaths down.

She sprung out of the room towards her to pack a couple of clothes. She chuckled when she saw him pulling out her laptop and typing her leave application. Her faith in love happened to have been restored by this guy, for a moment she thought she and Sidharth could really make it through. She recalled how contented she was to have this man.

"Baaabbbyyy!" she sang, trying to wake him up by pulling away the quilt. It was past 6 on a bright sunday morning and the sleepy head showed no interest in getting out of the bed.

"Hmm." he replied, not bothering his eyes to blink open.

"Uthna! Ghar nahi jana tujhe? aur walk?" she asked.

"Um hm." he replied the same way he did before.

"Kyu?" she asked but this time he didn't even reply.

"Yaar, nahi jana tha toh bata deta! Maine alarm off nahi kiya, ab khul gayi meri nind." she complained.

In his arms, she looked up to find him breathing softly and decided to let him sleep more by staying still. She interlinked their fingers and played with them for a while till she felt sleepy again with the amount of warmth enveloping her.

She was tracing his hand with her fingers and slowly felt her eyelids drooping down and she turned around to her comfortable sleeping position. A small smile overtook her face when Sidharth's callous hand hugged her under her burst and tugged her closer to his chest while the other pulled the covers up.
