Shehnaaz was cooking in the kitchen, preparing their dinner for tonight and contemplating if she should bake a cake for tomorrow or not.

"Hmm, smells good. Kya bana rahi hai?" Sidharth walked in and wrapped his hands around her from the back.

"Baingan fry." She replied with a smile.

"Boring." He rolled his eyes when she said that.

"Toh kya chahiye tujhe?" She asked.

"Yeh chahiye." He mumbled, nuzzling into her neck.

"Sidharth!" She chuckled and ducked her head, his trimmed beard was ticklish against her skin.

"Mat kar, meko gud gudi ho rahi hai." She whined when he didn't listen. In response to that, he bit her earlobe before backing off.

"Kutta." She mumbled, rubbing her soft skin that actually turned red when he did that and walking over to the refrigerator to grab brinjals.

"Yaar, baingan nahi khana mujhe." He whined like a child.

"Aloo gobhi?" She gave him another option.

"Kal hi toh banai thi tu!" He replied, settling himself on the kitchen counter.

"Toh bhindi?" She asked again.

"Kya roz roz bhindi?!" He replied.

"Sidhaaaarth! Natak na kar!" She whined, stomping her foot.

"Final bataaa!" She shouted.

"Biryani viryani bana na!" He suggested and she closed the refrigerator door loudly in response.

"Ek toh office se kaam kar ke, thake hare har aao. Phir khana banao, na help karega, jo bana hai vo khana nahi hai bas farmaaish karvalo." She spat, walking out of the kitchen angrily.

Sidharth bit his tongue, he was in a mood to annoy her and followed her out.

"Kabhi help karta hai kitchen me meri?!" She scoffed.

"Arey, tu aise kaise bol rahi hai ke maine teri help nahi ki?" He replied, throwing an arm around her.

"Acha, kab ki tune meri help?" She asked him, he does nothing in the kitchen except for making tea a couple of times a week.

"Kal jab tu sabji kat rahi thi na.." he began.

"Ha?" She replied.

"Tabhi maine chaku pass kiya tha." He grinned.

"Waah, badi meherbani aapki!" She joined her hands to bow down in front of him.

"Itna muh kyu sada rahi hai tu baat baat pe? What have I done baby?" He cooed, shifting closer.

"Nothing, you haven't done anything. You never did." She forcefully smiled, before getting back to the kitchen and carrying on with the dinner preparation.

He followed her in again, this time helping her by setting up the cutlery on the table. "Salad bana du?" He asked.

"Mai kar deta hu, de." He said, overtaking the knife and onion from her and began preparing the salad.

"Ungli bacha ke." She guided him before focusing back on the vegetable she was cooking.

"Shehnaaz, yeh. Yaar, yeh sala pyaaz!" Sidharth called out for help. She laughed looking at him, crying while chopping onions. He shut his eyes tightly and wiped off the tears before beginning again but the sight of diced onions made him shut his eyes back again and the tears rolled down.

"Rehne de!" She laughed, taking the plate from him.

"Mujhe rula ke hass rahi hai!" He accused her of being rude.

"Dramme!" She chuckled, chopping those onions like a pro.

"Tujhe yaad hai jab hum Goa gaye the, meri ek college ki friend mili thi ek din? Simran." She asked.

"Ha.." he nodded.

"Uski shaadi hai, next week Amritsar me. Invitation aaya hai." She informed him.

"Acha." He nodded.

"Hum jayenge na?" She excitedly anticipated a yes.

"Sorry, sweetheart. Mai nahi. Tu jana." He shrugged.

"Kyu! Tu kyu nahi jayega? Mai jati hu na tere sath tere friends ki shadi me." She whined.

"Amritsar chhuti leke jana padega. Dono chale jayenge, office me kaam itna hota hai aur upar Mom ko chhod ke jane ka mera mann nahi hai." He said.

"Acha thik hai." She half heartedly agreed.

Done with the dinner, they cuddled themselves in front of the TV binging some series they have been watching together. "Bebu!" Shehnaaz shook him when he was fast asleep. He hummed, pulling her closer.

"Sidharth 12 baj gaye-" she was waking him but decided not to, when something struck her mind.

She giggled at her idea and kissed his cheek and lips before covering themselves properly and calling it a night.

Talking about their trip to Goa, it had been an amazing one.
They had arrived at Dabolim Airport on a fine Monday and checked in to the Anjuna beach resort they had booked for the week. They enjoyed the crystal clear Anjuna beach in the early evening that day. The beach was famous for its stunning ambiance arraying with swaying palm trees and was marked by an unusual rocky formation overlying a cove of white sand and black rock that juts out into the sea. It was one of the beaches in Goa that fetched a crowd of hippies from all over the world.

Later in the night, they visited the Vagator beach, this beach was famous for its rave parties which keep on going till the wee hours of the night. Shehnaaz couldn't contain her happiness when there were people singing and dancing all around, having drinks and enjoying themselves with their partners. They did the same, caring less about the world and people, letting themselves loose against the drinks, both of them danced till they were worn out. The hangover hit so hard the next morning, they ended up sleeping the entire day. It did scare their families when they were out of reach for more than 30 hours.

The next day, they explored the bustling old Panjim bazaar. Also known as the Panjim Market which was located nearby the Inox Multiplex, off the Campal road. It was a combination of both exotic and modern items available.

Shehnaaz bought beautiful cotton outfits for herself and their families. The market had everything ranging from dresses to kurtas and footwear to junk jewelries and she bought almost every time that she found new. Even though she had bought enough stuff from the Anjuna flea market itself, she couldn't help but shop more. She got Sidharth, one of those loose and floral shirts and a hat to wear to the beach.

Amongst their sightseeing, they planned to enjoy water sports activities at Anjuna. Starting their adventurous day by embarking on a parasailing adventure followed by a fun tandem jet ski ride. There was an activity briefing session before conducting any water sport which they attended for a couple of minutes followed by a wait time before the next activity started.

And there she met Simran with her fiance. "Sana! Hii, tu yaha?" The old friend took her in a hug.

"Hii! Kyu mai yaha nahi aa sakti?" Shehnaaz asked, laughing.

"Arey nahi, maine suna tha teri engagement toot gayi thi." Her friend said.

"Ha, ab toh do saal bhi ho gaye uss baat ko. Kab tak gam manau uss baat ka?!" She giggled, replying.

"Ha, thik bol rahi hai. Inse mil, mere mangetar hai. Hum yaha pre wedding photoshoot ke liye aaye huye hai." She introduced them to a tall man.

"Hii, actually mai bhi yaha apne boyfriend ke sath aayi hu, pani lene gaya hai. Lo aa gaya!" She was replying when Sidharth joined them.

"Sidharth." He introduced himself with the guy, while Simran's fiance shook hands with him.

"Gurjeet."

Shehnaaz chuckled while the activity guide was distributing the lifeboat jackets.

"Kya hua?" Sidharth asked.

"Uss Simran ka muh dekh. Kaise khula hua hai, usko itna shock hua tha yeh jaan ke, ki mai apne boyfriend ke sath aayi hu." She giggled, letting him know and tying her hair in a rubber band. He smiled back, helping her hold her hair in place against the windy weather. They enjoyed watching people's reaction to their living in status, breaking the stereotype was their aim. Happiness and prosperity was not something only a marriage could provide, it came with the relationship and efforts, they believed.

The day was fun, they were thrilled by the exciting water sports like speedboat ride, banana boat ride, bumper ride along with a delightful boat ride, it was a completely blissful and unparalleled experience conducted under a trained local activity guide.

Simran and Gurjeet had accompanied them for a couple of days when they went sightseeing and exploring the traditional roots of South Goa. They had a walk around the historical Se Cathedral and Basilica De Bom Jesus Church. Visited the beautiful Palolem Beach, one of the most visited beaches by tourists throughout the year. Followed by an excursion to the natural beauty of Dudhsagar Waterfalls.

Dressed in a simple baby blue bikini crop top and shorts, Shehnaaz applied sunscreen lotion all over herself, preparing herself for the tan.

"Ha?" She turned to Sidharth when she noticed him looking at her.

"Just watching." He shrugged, clicking a picture of her. It made her chuckle,

"Achi achi photos le ke mujhe bhejna. Photos post karungi ghar jake." She said.

"Yeh vali toh sirf mere paas rahegi." He said, clicking some decent ones for her social media.

"Idhar aa.." she said, making him sit next to her on the mat and applying some cream on his face too.

"Baby ko tan ho jayega." She giggled, pecking on his lips and then taking him to the waters for a swim. The trip had become memorable already, the past seven days were one of the best seven days of their lives, exploring new places every day and making love every night.

Back to today Sidharth was in the office with Vardhan, signing the contract to a major project. "We've been given the responsibility to design and decorate the Emerald Bay inn. Congratulations everybody, you all did a great job aur abhi over time karne ke liye tayyar ho jao." Vardhan announced, everybody congratulated each other and got back to work.

"Sir, sign." Riya forwarded some papers for his signature, after another meeting. Sidharth grabbed a pen and began to write his name when his eyes fell on the date today, it was 18th of February, it was their 2nd anniversary today he had totally forgotten about.
