He made it back to the waiting area with 10 minutes left to spare. His injuries were mostly all healed so they shouldn't be able to affect his playing.

"Hey bro! How're your burns? They all healed?" Kirishima asked once he caught sight of his black-haired friend. Before he could respond three others began to bombard him with questions.

"DUDE what happened you were doing so well!" Denki couldn't believe it when Danny didn't take first place.

"For real man, I passed you while you were still getting up from that blast" Sero had placed 8th place, one up from Kirishima.

"Are you okay?? I didn't realize heat had such an effect on you" Mina immediately began comforting him both for his injuries and his mistake.

"It's alright! I just lost focus for a minute later and lost control of my quirk, and yeah, since I have an ice core I don't do all that well with heat" he made sure to whisper that last part just in case any non-good people were listening.

You never know.

"Oh, well that makes sense.. wait what do you do during the summer when it's hot out?" Denki asked, not expecting the answer he received.

"Oh I just sit in the freezer for a while to cool down" Danny explained with a smile like it was completely normal to barricade yourself inside a freezer for hours on end.

"I feel as if there are many other options" Sero deadpanned.

"Not as effective though!"

"Danny kun! Glad to see you're all better!" Izuku exclaimed as he walked up to the five teens.

"Yup! Chiyo did a good job!" Danny liked Chiyo, she was almost like a grandmother to him. He's never met his grandma, his parents never told him anything about them. He didn't even know if he had grandparents somewhere.

"She lets you call her Chiyo?" Ochako asked, head tilted in curiosity. 'oops' Danny thought. Eh, oh well.

"Yeah, she helped me out when I first got here" Danny didn't go any further, he was sure they could figure it out themselves. It was no secret that Danny was seriously underweight during his first few months at UA. He was even more so when he first got to Japan but with the help of Chiyo and her meal plans, he was almost at the healthy weight he should be.

"ALLRIIIIIIGHHHT LITTEL LISTENERS- sorry Eraserhead- The next event will begin in just a few short moments so hurry on down to the stadium so Midnight can announce what'll be happening!" Present Mic's voice enthusiastically said over the intercom.

"Alright! Come on everyone, let's all do our best!" Iida exclaimed before leading the teens towards the stadium where midnight stood.

"Hello everybody~" She winked. Denki began to drool, Sero smacked him upside the head.
"C'mon dude focus"

"Those of you who made it to at least 42nd place will be moving on! The rest of you, I'm sad to say, will not!" All those who failed to pass sadly made their way towards the reserved seats at the stadium.

"si triste" Aoyama dramatically sighed before turning to head towards the stadium. He got 43rd place if Danny remembered correctly.

"je suis sûr que vous ferez très bien la prochaine fois!" Danny said to cheer him up.

"Dude you speak baguette??" Denki asked in shock. He was thumped over the head by an annoyed Bakugou.
"Shut the hell up dumbass Pikachu I'm trying to fucking listen"

Midnight then went on to explain.
"Alright! The next event is the Calvary Battle! Each of you will get in a team of 2-4 other players! You will then get in a horse-like formation and try and capture the other team's headbands! Each team will have a different amount of points which depends on what place you scored in the obstacle race, for example, the student who placed last will be worth 5 points and every person above that will be worth an additional five points! Every team is worth the sum of all the players, however, there's a twist!" Everyone eagerly listened as Midnight went on.

"Ah, fuck I hate math" Denki panicked as he began to count his fingers.
"Wait what am I supposed to multiply??" Bakugou gave him another annoyed look.

"You're worth 90 points Denki Kun" Izuku informed.

"Oh nice"

Midnight went on to continue.
"The person who scored first place in the obstacle race will automatically be worth 10 million points!" At this, Izuku immediately paled.

"Oh, shit" Danny mumbled, suddenly happy he fucked up in front of everyone. He immediately felt bad for Izuku.

"The one who will wear the headband must be the rider who is not allowed to wear it below their necks, you'll have ten minutes to get in a team and plan out your strategy before it starts. The event will last 15 minutes! Alright, get in your teams!" With that, everyone rushed to find teammates.

Since there were six of them, Danny and Denki both volunteered to find a different team so Sero, Mina, Bakugou, and Kirishima could team-up. Danny did it because he didn't have to vote anyone out and risk hurting their feelings and he was pretty sure Denki wanted to team with Todoroki since the dual-haired boy proved to be quite powerful.

"You sure bro?" Kirishima asked a bit sad he wouldn't be able to team up with his friend.

"Yup! Now go on and strategize while I find a team" Danny waved goodbye before rushing off to find a team. It seems Izuku, Ochako, Tokoyami, and a girl with pink hair were a team. Iida, Momo, Denki, and Todoroki were teamed up as well.

He searched around for a three-person team he could join and eventually spotted Shinso, Aizawa's nephew. He's barely spoken to him but Aizawa talks about him sometimes so he knows the gist of his quirk.

He walked up to the purple-haired teen and waved.
"Hi! I'm Danny, I forgot whether or not I introduced myself before.. anyways, wanna team?" He asked with a friendly smile.

Shinso squinted his eyes in thought before shrugging.
"Yeah, whatever" he tiredly replied. He stuffed his hands in his uniform pockets and began looking around for more teammates. Ojiro and a boy named Shoda. With them, their team was complete.

"Alright! Now let's talk strategy!" Danny didn't think about strategy when he was fighting ghosts, his technique was just to try and capture them in his thermos. However, the training he and Aizawa did in their spare time helped a lot. He was no longer sloppy at hand-to-hand combat and he wasn't quite as reckless (although that was still debatable).

"I guess we should start by sharing our quirks," Shoda said, earning a nod from Danny.

Danny listened as they all shared their quirks and abilities and in return, they listened as Danny shared his.
"Alright, I think I have a plan! Shoda, you can use your quirk to enhance the force of Ojiro's tail so we have a better defense against the other teams! And Shinso, you can use your brainwashing quirk to try and get the other teams to hand over their headbands! I can use my phasing ability to make the headband intangible but I'll have to be wearing it to do it so I'll have to be the rider. Don't worry though, I'm pretty light!" Danny finished sharing his plan, slightly proud.

"Hm.. seems my first impression of you was wrong, you do know what you're doing some of the time" Shinso quipped, upper lip curling up in a playful smirk.

"Thanks..? My first impression of you was that you were Aizawa's secret kid he was hiding under the staircase"

"Aizawa lives in a one-story apartment" Shinso didn't know what else to reply with.

"I never watched Harry Potter back then so" Danny shrugged as if that made sense.

"ONE MINUTE LEFT!" Midnight announced. The four teens quickly got in formation with Danny as the head. He received their headband which was worth 425 points. He put it on just as Midnight began to count down.

"AND THREE... TWO... ONE... BEGIN!" Midnight waved her flag, signaling the start of the event. Everyone immediately started aiming for Izuku's team. 

"Looks like everyone is aiming for Midoriya's 10 Million point headband! Team TetsuTetsu and Team Hagakure are determined to get those points! Looks like Team Midoriya can fend them off using Tokoyami's powerful quirk! What do you think, Eraserhead?"

"Team Midoriya has quite the target on his back, they'll have to remain aware and careful if they want to keep their points" Aizawa's stoic tone replied.

Danny's team used Midoriya as a distraction to go around and steal other teams' headbands who were obsessed with stealing the 10 million points.

They confronted Team Mineta who immediately tried stealing their headband. He focused on keeping the headband untouchable while Shinso began to banter with Mineta. The grape-themed teen tried using his stickiness to grab their band. However, since it was untouchable their attempts were futile.

Mineta began to become frustrated by both their headband and Shinso's talking. He ended up looking at the purple-haired teen.
"Would you just-"

"Hand over the headband" Shinso grinned as Mineta became slack-jawed and white-eyed. He took the headband off his head, much to the dismay of his teammates, and handed it over to Shinso. Tsuyu tried grabbing their headband with her tongue but Shinso moved fast.

"Gee, thanks" still grinning, he handed the headband to Danny who put it on and made it intangible.

"W-What.." Mineta sobbed, confused as to what the hell just happened.

Danny's team ran off to find more headbands. Ojiro swung his tail at anyone who tried attacking and Shoda enhanced the tail's strength. Together, they managed to swipe quite a few headbands from the other teams.

"ONE MINUTE LEFT LITTLE LISTENERS!" Yamada shouted, most likely earning an annoyed look from Aizawa.

Team Todoroki, Team Bakugou, and Team midoriya were all desperately trying to get the 10 million points. Danny's team focused on getting the other points from the other teams.

With their quirks, they managed to gather many headbands including a 705 point one from TetsuTetsu's team.

The game ended as Todoroki managed to grab the 10 million point band, much to the dismay of Team Midoriya and Team Bakugou.

The team helped Danny down, who showed them all of their headbands.
"We have to make at least fourth place with all of these!" Ojiro looked at all the headbands he had helped his team collect.

"You all did an amazing job, I'm glad I had you guys for a team," Shoda said, giving them all a shy smile.

"We were lucky to have you on our team as well! Without you, our defense wouldn't have been as strong as it was!" Danny exclaimed, making the silver-blue-haired teen blush at the compliment.

"Yeah, we did good didn't we" Shinso murmured, satisfied.

"Alright, everyone! The scores are up!" Everyone anxiously looked up at the scoreboard.

"In the first place, we have Team Todoroki who managed to snag the 10 million point band!" Midnight announced.
"In second we have Team Bakugou, Third we have Team Fenton, and in fourth place, we have Team Midoriya!" Danny cheered along with the rest of his teammates.

"Hell yeah! We did it, guys!" Danny jumped around like an excited puppy. He couldn't believe how nervous he was before, this was fun!

"With your intangibility, I don't think anyone had a chance to steal from us" The tail quirked teen pointed out.

"Yeah.. was it unfair to use..?" Danny shrunk down a bit, suddenly feeling bad.

"Oh no! Not at all, it's part of your quirk after all!" Shoda reassured, trying to get the hurt puppy look off the ghost boy's face.

"Y-Yeah! I was just pointing it out because I was realizing how lucky we were to have you on our side!" Ojiro quickly stated.

"Really..? All of you did amazing too though! Especially Shinso, without him we-" He was cut off by the purple-haired teen ruffling his hair with an amused smile.

"Oh shut up and take the compliment" Danny stuck his tongue out in reply which earned a snort of laughter from his teammates.

"It's interlude period now which means we can either complete some of the recreational activities they have out or prepare ourselves for the next event" Shoda explained once he noticed the UA staff start setting up a scavenger hunt.

"I'm probably gonna take a nap, I used up a lot of energy focusing on only keeping the headbands intangible. That along with healing some of my burns I'm pretty sure my drawback is probably gonna-" Shoda shrieked when Danny immediately collapsed mid-sentence. Ojiro managed to catch him before he hit the ground.

"Damn, he's out cold," Shinso remarked as he smacked the teen's face, trying to wake him up.

Within seconds Aizawa was down at the field quickly walking towards them.
"Alright, brat quit smacking him, trust me it won't do a thing" Aizawa picked Danny up with ease.

"You did well out there" Aizawa ruffled Shinso's hair, earning an annoyed grunt. He nodded towards the other two team members.

"Aizawa Sensei sure has been showing more emotion lately.." Oijro muttered.

"You're telling me.." Shinso watched his uncle walk off the field and towards Recovery girl along with his probably soon-to-be cousin.
