Stage 1: Skeletons

This phase happened in early March 2016, one of my most interesting phases.

I would classify this drawing as my first ever concept of them. I drew this after a long day of doing this science program at a university. It sucked, all I wanted to do was go home and never wake up.
So, gradually, I usually tend to draw skeletons at my weakest moments.. Which make me realize that I'm "sensitive to the bone"
Here are some more concepts;

But later I started to get colourful about it and make skeleton designs for people who were interesting in one! I technically made them a closed species, but the skeleton anatomy wasn't really created by me as I AM a living skeleton under this muscle soo I didn't say much about it.
Here are some examples:

The drawings above are average skeletons. Basically just a normal skeleton shape with interesting functions of all sort. I might open them again on here!

These designs are called Sans skeletons. They are basically the skeleton structure of what Sans would look like and put together with all these other functions!

< Question; now why would you give each skeleton animal parts?
Well I would say it starts off with the dead. Of course, skeletons are the remains of a dead human, if they aren't trapped in a coffin they would gradually seep into the earth and come to life! As they do come to life, sometimes it's a bit boring to have just skeleton parts, so firstly when skeletons come to life they would search for any other limbs they could replace/use to thrive and express themselves (tail, different feet/arms, chest" fur) kinda creepy if I say. >

I started losing this phase until I pulled back a relic to my skeleton phase, a mermaid tail.
Here are some skeleton designs with Mermaid tails;

Now since they aren't land creatures, I would say this was a whole different story for how these skeletons got their parts.
Let say.. These skeletons have drowned at sea. They still come to life but now they inherited "gills" and they search for any dead animal limbs/plant parts at sea to use.

This phase has died for a bit, usually comes back when I'm feeling anxious. For now I've mastered the concepts and the look of a human skeleton and I think it's time to try something new!
