(this is the outfit violet wears for the beginning of this chapter)

Violet helped DJ and Kimmy unpack the food Kimmy had gotten from the 89 cent store for Ramona's dance practice. Violet couldn't believe Kimmy was this cheap. Some of this food looked questionable.

"I didn't even know this store existed." Violet admits, looking at the food on the food in front of her. "But I'm probably never going there."

When the doorbell rang, Ramona rushes down the stairs. "I got it! That's the dance team."

"I bought some cookies for you guys." Kimmy told her, showing her the box of cookies that were a knock off brand of Oreos.

Violet grimaces as she read off the name. "'No-Reos'. Why would someone eat cookies with that name? It has no in the name."

"Mom, you couldn't spend an extra buck to get the real thing?" Ramona asked.

"Once they're on the platter, your friends will never know the difference." Kimmy replies. She grimaces when she reads the instructions. "You just can't eat them near an open flame." She and Ramona walked into the living room as Jackson and Max walked into the kitchen from the backyard.

"Hey, guys!" DJ greeted.

"Hi, mom. Hi, Violet." Jackson smiles and waves at his mom and best friend, walking over to the stairs while carrying his skateboard. "Going to study. Bye, mom. Bye, Violet."

"Hold on." DJ calls out to him, causing him to stop by the stairs. "It's 90 degrees out and you have a jacket on."

"Which isn't even yours." Violet added.

DJ nods in agreement and puts a hand on her hip. "What's going on?"

Jackson scoffs. "You're always so suspicious! Can't I just be wearing my friend's jacket 'cause it's National Jacket Swapping Day?"

"Yeah, that's very convincing." Violet sarcastically commented.

"What are you up to?" DJ asks, taking off the jacket. She gasps when she spots a bruise on Jackson's left upper arm. "Jackson, you're all banged up. What happened?"

"Oh, nothing." Jackson replied.

DJ glances at Max. "Max, what happened?"

"He skateboarded off Bobby Popko's tool shed and wiped out." Max confessed.

Jackson glares at Max. "Max!"

"Sorry." Max apologizes and pulls out a bag of Jolly Ranchers, setting them on the table. "Here's your 'don't tell mom' Jolly Ranchers back."

DJ's eyes widen and she glances at her oldest son with disbelief, who smiles at her nervously. "Okay, have a seat." DJ pushes Jackson over to the table. "You know what, you guys? Every time you're at that Bobby Popko's house, something bad happens." She walks over to get bandages and ointment that was in the kitchen as Violet sits at the front of the table. DJ sits at the table by Jackson. "Aren't his parents around?"

Violet grimaces since she knew the answer, but doesn't say anything. "Oh, yes, yes, yes, of course." Jackson nods. "They're very responsible people."

DJ glances at Max. "Max?"

"They're never home." Max responds and Jackson looks at him with disbelief. He pouts, throwing a bag of skittles on the table. "Here's your skittles."

"Okay, that's it. Until I talk to his parents, you boys are not allowed at the Popko's." DJ glances at Violet. "I assume you don't go over there anyway, but you're not allowed over there as well."

"You assumed correctly." Violet nods. She crosses her arms, shakin her head. "I never liked that boy so you won't see me over there."

"What?" Jackson asks in disbelief, glaring at his mom. "That's bogus!"

"Yeah, that's bogus!" Max agrees. He looks at Jackson with a hopeful expression. "Can I have the skittles back?" In response, Jackson moved the skittles out of Max's reach while DJ tended to his bruise.

"Boys, who's your favorite aunt?" Stephanie asks as she walks into the room. She glances at Violet. "And Violet, who's your favorite next door neighbor?" She grins. "No need to answer. I know it's me. Okay, I am deejaying at Lucha Kaboom and I got us all tickets."

Violet's eyes lit up and she smiles excitedly. "Awesome!"

"Wow! That's amazing!" Jackson grinned.

"Oh my gosh!" Max excitedly said.

"I get to go to Lucha Kaboom?" DJ asked excitedly and looked confused.

"You don't know what Lucha Kaboom is, do you?" Violet questioned, looking at her with amusement.

"Nope." DJ shakes her head. "What's Lucha Kaboom?"

"It's Mexican wrestling. It's got crazy outfits, crazy stunts and crazy chickens." Jackson answered.

"And guess who's headlining? King Jaguarito." Stephanie added.

Max's eyes widen and he takes the tickets from Stephanie to look at them closer. "Oh my gosh!" He said excitedly.

"That's so cool!" DJ smiles and stands up. She furrows her eyebrows. "Who's King Dorito?"

"Mom, he's not a corn chip." Max tells her. He grins. "He's king of the jaguars and he's my favorite wrestler!"

"Oh." DJ said in realization. She smiles. "Well, as a veterinarian, I am always in favor of raising awareness for endangered jungle cats." Violet giggled a bit, smiling at DJ with amusement.

"Yeah, 'cause that's what wrestling is all about." Stephanie remarked.

Violet and DJ rushed to the backyard of Popko's house later that day. The boys were gone and DJ found out they had went over to Popko's house. Violet already knew where Jackson and Max were since Jackson had asked her to promise not to tell anyone where he and Max went. Violet kept her promise and even tried to stop DJ since she knew DJ wouldn't like what she would see.

Just as Violet and DJ arrived, Jackson jumped off the roof of the tool shed, landing on top of someone covered in pillows and wearing a helmet, the two of them laying on mattresses. A group of boys stood by, watching as they exclaimed out of excitement and cheered Jackson on. Violet grimaced. She knew Max was the one laying underneath Jackson.

"I told you that you wouldn't like this." Violet sheepishly said to DJ.

Popko smiles at Violet when he noticed her and then he smirks. "Hey, sweet thing." Violet rolled her eyes and crossed her arms.

"Dude," Jackson glares at Popko. "That's my best friend. Back off." Popko raised his hands in defense.

DJ rushes over to where the set up was, ripping down the caution tape that was blocking off the mattresses. "Jackson!"

Jackson gets up immediately. "Hi, mom."

DJ points at the boy on the mattress. "That better not be your brother."

"Hi, mom." Max responded.

DJ kneels beside Max and helps him sit up. As she asks Max if he was okay, Jackson takes off his mask and glances at Violet with a frown. "Vi, you told my mom where we were?"

"No," Violet shakes her head and sighs. "She figured it out on her own." She crosses her arms. "I told you this was a bad idea, but did you listen? No." She dramatically dragged out the word 'no' while rolling her eyes.

"You boys know you're not supposed to be here." DJ said.

"Jackson said you gave us permission." Max explained.

DJ looks at Jackson with a glare and Jackson cringes, looking away from her. DJ stands up which made Max fall back on the mattress since she was holding him up. "And now you lied?"

"In my defense, how did you even know I was here?" Jackson inquired.

"Dude, your mom's a vet. She must have dog-chipped you." Popko chimed in.

"I did not dog-chip him. I used mother's intuition." DJ pulls out her phone from her back pants pocket. "Which is the name of the app I used to track you."

"See?" Violet said to Jackson, pointing at DJ. "I told you she figured it out on her own."

DJ points at Jackson. "You can forget about going to Lucha Kaboom."

Jackson's eyes widen. "What?"

"And where are your parents?" DJ asked Popko.

"Oh, my mom just stepped out." Popko smiles. "She'll be back the minute you leave."

"I'm on to you, Popko." DJ tells him. She glances at her sons. "Let's go, boys." DJ guided Jackson out of the backyard and Violet followed them, but then she stopped when she remembered Max was still on the mattress and was having trouble getting up.

"Sorry, Max!" Violet apologized, rushing back over to Max to help him up.

(violet's outfit for the next day)

The next day Jackson tried doing nice things for his mom in an attempt to convince her to let him go to the wrestling match. He did the dishes, made her breakfast in bed, and made her coffee, but he still wasn't allowed to go.

"Well, that's perfect! You know, I don't even wanna go. It sounds boring." Jackson grins. "How's that for reserve psychology?"

From her place sitting on the couch, Violet laughs a bit, smiling at him with amusement. "Not bad but it could be better."

"A little tip: when you're using reverse psychology, don't say you're using it." DJ informed Jackson.

Jackson shrugs and speaks in a defensive tone. "How am I supposed to know? I'm not a reverse psychologist!" He then went to sit down on the couch by Violet.

"Coach, we're all so excited to go to Lucha Kaboom." Ramona said to Stephanie as they both walked down the stairs. Violet had found out that Ramona's dance team were dancing at the Lucha Kaboom tonight thanks to Stephanie. Violet thought Stephanie was sweet to do that for them.  "We never could have done it without you."

Smiling, Stephanie pats her shoulder. "Aw, you're welcome, sweetie."

"Aw...Yes, Stephanie, you're so wonderful." Kimmy cut in with a forced smile on her face.

"Are you still mad about the dance thing?" Stephanie asked.

"Oh, don't be silly!" Kimmy replied to Stephanie, waving a dismissive hand.

"What dance thing?" Violet inquired, glancing at Stephanie and Kimmy with confusion.

"Ramona doesn't think the Gibbler Gallop is good enough to go with her dance and asked Stephanie for help behind my back." Kimmy responded.

"Oh." Violet nodded in realization.

"Check this out!" Max runs into the living room wearing a costume. "Aunt Stephanie got me an official King Jaguarito costume!" He smiles at Stephanie and hugs her. "You're the best!"

"'Look at me! I'm Aunt Stephanie! I can do everything! Everyone loves me. I have big boobs.'" Kimmy said in a mocking tone and shimmied her shoulders. Stephanie just rolled her eyes in response.

"Okay," DJ chimes in, dragging out the word. "Not that this isn't a wonderful topic, but..." She smiles at Max. "Max you look so jungly."

"Well, Jackson and I added the skull and some fake blood to the king's bone." Stephanie explains. She shrugs. "Well, some of the blood's real. I cut myself opening the fake-blood packaging."

"Oh. Boo-hoo." Kimmy comments in a monotone voice. She grabs her bag. "Let's go. I got the keys and the snacks because apparently that's all I'm good for."

Violet turns to face Jackson with a worried look. "You okay with me going without you? I feel bad leaving you here alone."

"I'll be fine." Jackson reassured her.

"'Cause if you didn't want me to leave then I would stay with you." Violet added.

"Well, actually-"

"And since you said you'll be fine I'm really glad 'cause I'm super excited to go to this." Violet interrupted Jackson in an excited tone and grinned.

Jackson chuckles, and shakes his head. "Yeah, okay. Go have fun without me."

Violet pats his shoulder as she stands up. She smiles at him. "I'll try to record some of it for you."

"It won't be the same," Jackson sighs and then he returns the smile. "But thanks, I appreciate it, Vi."

"Beunos dias and welcome to Lucha Kaboom!" The host announces and everyone cheers. "The only Mexican wrestling league that is too dangerous for Mexico itself. Now, please welcome Los Pollos Locos!" The crowd cheered for them as Los Pollos Locos entered the arena.

"Holy chalupas!" Max shouts excitedly as he stands. "This is the greatest day of my life!"  Violet chuckled, smiling at him with amusement. Max sat back down while Stephanie walks over to them.

"Okay, team," She said, looking at Ramona and her dance team. "You guys go in two minutes." She looks confused when she noticed one of the members were missing. "Where's Sara?"

Ramona looks up from her phone with a worried expression. "She just texted. Sara ate some bad pollo and her butt went loco."

"But our dance needs four people." Lola pointed out.

"Stephanie, you know all the moves. Will you please do it?" Ramona pleaded.

Stephanie glances at Kimmy and then looks back at Ramona. "Look, as your coach, I have to advise you to get the best dancer available and she's sitting right next to you." She smiled, pointing at Kimmy. Kimmy looked at her with surprise and smiled. Ramona and her dance team looked over at Kimmy with grimaced expressions.

"Well, well, well," Kimmy smirks. "Look who comes crawling back to Kimmy Gibbler." She gets off the stands, standing by Stephanie. "I'm in!" She opens her jacket and takes it off, revealing she had on the dance team shirt. Everyone stares at her with surprise. "I know what you're thinking." Kimmy looks at them nervously. "I swear I did not poison Sara. Okay." She smiles, gesturing for the girls to follow her. "Come on. Let's go." She ran off with the girls following her.

"It's time for the King Jaguarito costume contest." The host exclaims. Violet and DJ smile encouragingly at Max as he gets up and walks to the mats in front of the arena. "The winner will be selected by King Jaguarito himself! And here he comes!"

The crowd cheers as King Jaguarito walks into the room. "The greatest luchador in luchador history." The host commented. King Jaguarito stood behind a boy with a similar costume on and a mask over his eyes, raising his club over the boy's head. The crowd booed and booed for the next boy King Jaguarito pointed his club at. But when he got to Max, the crowd went wild.

"We have a winner, King Jaguarito-tio!" The host announced.

"Whoo! Go Max!" Violet cheered.

The other contestants left as King Jaguarito speaks to Max. "Congratulations, Mini-Me." Violet ended the recording she took of Max wining the contest and scrolled through the photos she took while she was here with her and Ramona along with the dance team and even some with DJ, Stephanie, Kimmy, and Max.

"You're my hero." Max smiles at him and raises his club. "You're little like me, but you're a champion."

"Don't judge me by my size." King Jaguarito said. "Judge me by the size of the heart I rip from my opponent's chest."

Max smiles widely. "That was beautiful." He holds out his club. "I would be honored to have you pound someone senseless with my club."

"I'll take it!" King Jaguarito grins, handing Max his club and takes Max's club. "I love how you pimped out my club."

DJ quickly rushes over with her phone out. "I gotta get a picture!" She stands in front of them and takes a picture. "Okay, let's go to our seat." She grabbed onto King Jaguarito's hand by accident since she wasn't paying attention and she thought he was Max.

"Lady, wrong little person." King Jaguarito told her.

DJ sheepishly smiles, letting go of his arm and helps Max down off the mats. DJ and Max sit back down and Violet smiles at Max. "Congrats, Max." She complimented, patting his arm and he grinned at her.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome our special guests, the Van Atta Middle School dance team!" The host announced.

The crowd cheers as the dance team walks up onto the stage. Kimmy takes the microphone from the host and smiles. "Sponsored by Gibbler Style Party Planning! Five dollars off your next quincenanera." Kimmy handed the mic back to the host and got into place. As pop music played, the group began to dance. When the dance was over, everyone cheered loudly for them.

"Alright, you guys wanna see more?" Stephanie asked the crowd and they cheered in response.

Lola looks at the team nervously. "But we don't have any more."

"Oh, yes, we do." Ramona smirks, glancing at her mom. "Right, mom?"

Kimmy grins and winks at her. She glances at Stephanei. "Give me a back beat and put some stank on it!" Stephanie nodded and made a back beat. Kimmy and the girls then did the Gibbler Galop which was a dance move that the Gibblers made.

****

"And now to take on Los Pollos Locos, give it up for your heroes, Los Calaveras!"

Everyone cheers as the Los Calaveras enters the room. When they got onto the stage in front of the arena, the Los Pollos Locos pulled the Los Calveras over the rope and onto the mat. "These chickens are mucho sneaky!" The host exclaimed.

"Boo!" Stephanie shouts. "No!"

"Wait, I'm confused." DJ said, glancing at her with confusion. "I thought we liked the crazy chickens."

"We used to." Violet nods. "We don't anymore."

"Yeah," Stephanie agrees. "Now we love Los Calaveras."

DJ furrows her eyebrows. "But they're skeletons!"

"They're good skeletons, guitar-playing skeletons in shiny suits." Stephanie lists off, staring at DJ with disbelief. "Why is this so hard for you?"

DJ sighs, her shoulders dropping in defeat. "All I know is Jackson would have loved this."

"Yeah, I'm recording it for him, but it's not the same as being here." Violet chimed in.

The crowd booed when one of the Los Pollos Locas flipped over a Los Calavera DJ's eyes widen. She points at the wrestler. "Oh! Did you see what that chicken did? Boo, chicken!"

"Yeah," Violet grins. "Now you're getting it."

"Deej, I think Jackson's learned his lesson." Stephanie said. "Cut him some slack and get him down here."

"You're right." DJ smiles. "I'm gonna call him." Violet smiled as DJ got up to take the call. She was happy that DJ was going to let Jackson come here. He had been looking forward to this for so long so it must be killing him that he couldn't be here.

"Oh! Those chickens are bad eggs!" The host grimaces when the Los Pollos Locas hit the Los Calaveras repeatedly with a folding chair. "I mean, that is very foul play. Look. Help is on the way!" King Jaguarito climbs onto the arena. "Your hero King Jaguarito is here to save the day."

Max stands up and cheers loudly. King Jaguarito jumps onto one of the Los Pollos Locas. "Oh! The king El Explosivo hit 'em right in the chicken tenders." The host comments. Then the Los Pollos Locas kicks King Jaguarito down after he got off of him. "But what is this?" The crowd boos as the Los Pollos Locas began taking down King Jaguarito. The Los Pollos Locas drag King Jaguarito to the ropes. "Oh, the king is in trouble. He's taking a vicious chicken-lickin'. He's being pounded and deboned."

Then suddenly a boy with a mask on like King Jaguarito's climbs into the arena and the crowd cheers. "Oh. Who is this young Jaguarito wannabe?" The boy turned one of the Los Pollos Locas around, but the wrestler grabbed the boy's shoulders and throws him against the ropes. "He seems to have no wrestling skills whatsoever!"

"Wait a minute...." Violet's voice trailed off as she recognized the clothes the boy wore. She gasped. That's Jackson. She bit her lower lip while she watched worriedly. This was going to go bad.

Then the Los Pollos Locas drag Jackson over to the ropes, holding him there. "Oh, boy! They are about to perform the ultimate humiliation!" The host exclaimed as Max got up and walked over to the arena. "The unmasking!"

One Los Pollos Loca held Jackson's arms back as the other one pulls off the mask, revealing his face to everyone. Jackson's eyes widen when he noticed Max outside of the ring. "Jackson?" Max questioned, staring at him with confusion.

"Max?" Jackson asked.

"Hey, Jackson's not picking up. Something's wrong." DJ commented, walking back over to the others with a worried look on her face.

"Yeah, something is very wrong. My best friend is getting pummeled by crazy chickens." Violet worriedly said.

DJ looks at the arena, her eyes widening and her mouth opening out of shock. She set her purse down and ran towards the arena. "Hang on, Jackson! Momma's comin'!" Jackson glances at her with surprise while she climbs onto the arena. "Take your hands off my son, you d**n dirty chickens!" DJ demanded, glaring at the Los Pollos Locas. She ran towards the one that was about to punch Jackson and grabbed his arm. She pulled him away and threw him against the ropes as the other Los Pollos Loca shoved Jackson out of the ring.

Violet quickly gets up and walks onto the stage where Jackson lands. "Jax, you okay?" She asked worriedly, kneeling beside him.

"Yeah, I'm good, Vi." Jackson reassured her and the two best friends got off the stage.

"An unknown wrestler has just entered the ring!" The host notices. "Who is this brave senorita with a death wish?"

DJ kicks the legs out from under one of the Los Pollos Loca which made him fall on his back. DJ grabs onto his hand, swinging him around and threw him against the ropes. "There is a foxy lady in the hen house." The host spoke. DJ then flipped the wrestler over when the wrestler went at her.

"Yeah, go DJ!" Violet shouted from her place by the ring.

"Nice! Go, mom!" Jackson cheered.

DJ grabs onto the hands of the Los Pollos Loca that was laying on his back and she flips over onto his chest. "Right in the chicken mcnuggets!" The host exclaimed.

"Get 'em, mom!" Max yelled.

Violet watches with awe when DJ ran at the other Los Pollos Loca and he spins her around, acting like he had the upper hand, but DJ flips him over and onto the mat. "Wow." Violet commented. She didn't know DJ could fight this good.

"Dios mio, look at her go. She's whipping up a chopped chicken salad out there." DJ then flipped over the other Los Pollos Loca. She stood in the corner of the ring, standing on the ropes as King Jagaruito did the same at the other corner across from her. DJ pointed at him and he pointed at her.

"This has never been attempted!" The host exclaims. "They're going for a double El Explosivo!"

At the same time, DJ and King Jagaruito jumps onto the Los Pollos Locas, causing the crowd to go wild. "Oh! They did it!" The host yell excitedly. "Ladies and gentlemen, you've just witnessed Lucha Kaboom history." Then DJ and King Jagurito rolls them over, grabbing onto Los Pollos Loca's legs and the ref taps them out. "It's a double pin for the win."

Violet cheers loudly along with the crowd. The Los Pollos Locas get out of the ring as DJ and King Jagurito stand up. The ref holds onto their arms, raising them into the air while the host climbs onto the ring. "Our winners are King Jaguarito and..." He looks at DJ with a smile. "What do you call yourself, brave senorita?" He held the microphone in front of her for her to speak into it.

DJ smiles. "Just a mom who loves her son."

The host puts a hand on her shoulder, smiling at the crowd. "Mamacita del Amor!"

****

Violet now sat on Max's bed as DJ and Jackson had a conversation about how different Jackson had been acting lately. Violey had even chimed in, saying she didn't like how he kept getting himself into dangerous stunts lately, but felt better after Jackson reassured her that he would try to be more careful and try not to do dangerous things anymore. Violet knew he would most likely end up doing dangerous things again since he's a boy and boys tends to do dangerous stuff a lot, but she was glad to know he would be more careful. Violett was also relieved that DJ eventually forgave Jackson and smiled when the conversation between the mother-son duo ended with a hug.

"Just try to stay away from that Popko kid." DJ tells Jackson. "There's just something wrong about him."

"Mom, I can't." Jackson argues. "He's my best friend."

"Uh, hello?" Violet said dramatically, looking at him with offense.

Jackson looks at her with a soft smile. "You're my Kimmy Gibbler." Violet smiled widely at him.

Popko then walks into the room, wearing nothing but a towel around his waist and he had a towel wrapped around his neck. "And I'm scarred for life." Violet mumbled, covering her eyes.

"That drought thing is such a scam." Popko said. He smirks. "I just took a ninety minute shower."

A/N I was so shocked dj could fight like that when I watched this episode. also violet being jackson's kimmy gibbler >>>>
