(violet's outfit for the chapter)

The next day Violet got dressed in a blue flannel with the bottom half of it white, jeans, and blue combat boots matching the color of her flannel. For her hair she braided her hair into two braids. She was sitting on the couch by Romana and Jackson and she was texting Ryker. Ever since she broke up with him, they remained to be close friends and even hung out together often. She was happy that the breakup wasn't as bad as she thought it would be.

Popko was also there as well, sitting on the edge of the nightstand by the couch. The four teens were all on their phones either texting each other (despite being in the same room) or texting other people. Kimmy soon walked in with some snacks, surprised to see them all on their phones.

"Here's a crazy thought. You guys ever try interacting with each other?" Kimmy suggested.

Jackson chuckles. "Who do you think we're texting?"

"Well, I'm also texting Ryker." Violet shrugged.

"I thought you guys broke up." Popko said in confusion.

"We did, but we're still friends." Violet voiced, looking back at her phone. She then laughed along with the others at a meme one of them sent to their groupchat they had.

"That's a good one." Ramona commented.

"Yeah." Jackson agreed.

Kimmy rolls her eyes and leaves the living room. "Oh, man, it's 4:30, gotta go facetime Lola." Jackson realized, standing up from the couch.

Violet raises her eyebrows. "You're actually facetiming Lola?"

"Hey, sounds like you're finally getting somewhere." Popko smiled.

"Well, I'm actually facetiming her brother, but with any luck she'll be in the background." Jackson admitted.

Violet shakes her head, turning her attention back to her phone. "That's just sad. Alright, well, I'm going to my house 'cause I'm bored so I'll see you guys later." She waved at them before she left the house and went next door to hers.

She had to admit it was weird living on her own, but she had gotten used to it. She went to her room and sat on her bed after setting her phone down and grabbing her ukulele to mess around with it. Lately, she had been playing her ukulele more. She had recently got the urge to play and sing and it seemed to help her stress. She was also working on writing a song that she hoped was good. She never wrote a song before so she didn't know if it was any good. She had no idea who to talk to about it and she didn't want anyone finding out and judging her. She wasn't sure if it was a good idea or not.

Suddenly her phone starts ringing and she quickly grabs it, answering the facetime call.

"Hello?" She said.

"Hey, Vi!"

She smiles at seeing Jackson. "Hey, Jax, what's up?" She asked, setting her ukulele to the side.

"Me, Ramona, Popko and some friends are going to the movies tonight. You wanna join?" Jackson asked her.

"Um, sure." Violet replies with a shrug. "Got nothing better to do on a Saturday night."

"Great, I'll text you when you need to come on by." Jackson smiles. "So, I saw you had your ukulele, just messing around or writing a song?"

"Trying to write a song, um, you wanna hear it?" She nervously asked, grabbing her ukulele and moved to sit at her desk, setting up her phone against something on her desk so she could be able to play and continue the facetime call.

"Sure, I'd love to hear it." Jackson grinned.

Violet clears her throat, feeling her nerves getting to her. She played the song and then started singing. "I don't know this song, but I keep keep singing along. You could sing it too 'cause we could never get the words wrong. La la la la la la, yeah, this melody's a homerun come with me and join the fun. it's a song for everyone."

Violet smiles nervously as she finishes. "But yeah that's what I got so far. What do you think?" She looked at Jackson nervously, seeing he was staring at her in shock. He hadn't said anything yet and she was nervous he didn't like it.

"Wow." Jackson finally spoke. "That was amazing, Vi."

"Really?" She asked him, looking down and her cheeks flushed. "Thanks, um, you're the first person to hear it so I'm glad it's not bad."

"Not bad? Are you kidding me? It's incredible." Jackson grins. "I loved the lyrics and your voice is perfect. I really love the song, Vi."

"Thanks, Jax." Violet says softly. She smiles a bit. "Maybe I can add some more to the song, and I can work on the melody."

"You're seriously talented." Jackson compliments her, causing her to blush. "I bet if you ask Aunt Stephanie for help with the lyrics she could help you out."

"Yeah, that's a good idea." Violet smiles. "I'm gonna get ready for when we go out with the others. I'll see you later."

"See you later, Vi." Jackson grins.

After they ended the facetime call, Violet went through her closet and pulled out a few outfits. She didn't know which one to pick and she didn't know if it was a fancy or casual movie. She didn't want to over dress or under dress. So, she did what anyone would do. She called Ramona.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Ramona, I'm going to the movies tonight and I'm not sure what to wear." Violet admitted.

"That's funny 'cause I have the same problem." Ramona confesses as she chuckles. "Wanna come over and bring the options you got and we can try to help each other out?"

"Sounds great. I'll be right over." Violet smiles, hanging up the phone and grabs her outfits and headed next door. She went to Romana's room to see Romana holding up two dresses, a blue and a red one, and she noticed Max sitting on her bed. "Hey, Max. What are you doing?" She asked Jackson's younger brother.

"Helping you two decide what to wear. Romona says its a date with Popko so she has to look her best." Max explained.

"Wait, what?" Violet gasps, glancing at Ramona, who sends a glare to Max as she blushes. "You think this is a date with Popko? What happened? I thought you hated him."

"That was until I had my first kiss with him." Romona admitted shyly.

"Mona!" Violet says excitedly, laying her outfits on the bed and pulls Romona into a hug. "That's so exciting you had your first kiss! I don't know why it had to be with Popko of all people, but still it's so exciting! Tell me everything!"

"I will. But first we need to decide what you're gonna wear." Romona smiled.

"For a movie date you should always dress to match your snacks, in case you spill." Max spoke up.

"Wait, that's honestly good fashion advice." Violet admits, a bit surprised Max knew that and smiles at him. "Good job, Max."

Max grins and looks at Romona. "What's your favorite icy flavor? Blue or red?"

"Red." Ramona replied.

"There's your answer." Max pointed out.

"Gotta admit, the red one would look better. Especially with a belt and a denim vest or jacket." Violet chimed in, smiling at Ramona.

"Now let's talk shoes." Max smiled.

"Okay, uh," Ramona sets down the dresses on a chair, picking up two pairs of flats to show them to Max and Violet. "How about these?'

"Flats?" Max stares at her in disbelief. "Don't you have anything in a chunky heal?"

"Okay, now you." Ramona picks up one of Violet's outfits, glancing between them. "I like this one the best." She admitted, pointing at one that had a pink floral blouse, a black denim jacket, blue jeans and black converse.

"Yeah, me too." Violet admits. "I think I'll wear that one. You should go with the red dress and the black ankle boots. They look much better together."

"Thanks." Ramona smiled.

"Anytime." Violet replied.

(this is what violet wears to the movies)

Violet went back to her house to get ready. She added a necklace to the outfit and did some loose curls with her hair. She made sure her makeup looked okay and then went back to the Fullers to wait for Popko and the others to get there. She was greeted by Ramona when she walked in and they both complimented each other on their outfits. She saw Kimmy and Fernando were there as well, most likely there to support their daughter on her first date.

"Hey, you look amazing."

Violet glances behind her to see Jackson. "Thanks." She said, feeling her face heat up. "You look nice too."

"Thanks." Jackson smiled, running a hand through his hair and takes a deep breath.

Soon enough Popko and the others arrive. "Hey, Popko." Ramona greeted with a smile.

"Hey." Popko smiled. He then greeted Jackson and Violet as well.

"Hello, Senor Popko." Fernando speaks up. Violet raised her eyebrows as Fernando started to speak in Spanish threateningly. Popko looked terrified by the time Fernando was done. Then Fernando smiles and shrugs. "Hey, bro. Have a gnarly night."

"Okay, everybody say goodbye to my parents." Ramona quickly shoves her parents out of the room, But not before they left, Fernado made the 'i'm watching you' signal to Popko. "I'm sorry." She apologizes to everyone. "They only have one kid." She then stands in front of Popko with a smile. "Hey, Popko. Cute hat."

Popko chuckles, looking a bit confused. "It's the same one I always wear."

"You're so funny!" Ramona started to giggle and playfully shoved his shoulder.

Violet shares a look with Jackson, both confused by Ramona's actions. "So, you guys wanna see the Kevin Hart movie that came out today or the Kevin Hart movie that came out yesterday?" Popko inquired the group with a smile.

"Yesterday." Ramona replied, giggling once again.

Jackson narrows his eyes at her. "What is wrong with you?"

"Nothing. That's how I laugh." Ramona responded and giggled again.

"Hey, babe, what do you wanna see?" Popko inquired.

"Whichever one you want." Ramona answered, thinking he was talking to her. Violet grimaced as she saw that Popko was actually talking to Bethany, who was standing behind Ramona.

"I was talking to Bethany." Popko chuckled, standing by Bethany and wrapping his arm around her shoulders.

Ramona's eyes widen. "Oh...Boy...So you guys are a thing?"

"We don't like labels, but it's all good." Popko explained.

"Sure." Ramona forces a smile. "All good."

"What in the heck is going on here?"

Violet is surprised to see Max storming down the stairs with an upset look. "Max, don't worry about it." Ramona reassured Max.

"Don't worry about it?" Max repeats, staring at her in disbelief. He pushes Ramona to the side since Ramona had blocked his path. He then walks over to Popko. "I just spent twenty-five minutes picking out the perfect outfit for Ramona's date with you. And then I walk into this..." He said, gesturing to Popko and Bethany.

"You thought we were on a date?" Popko questioned, eyes widening in surprise as he looked at Ramona.

Ramona chuckles nervously. "I didn't think we were on a date."

"Oh, yes she did. And if you weren't two feet taller than me, we'd be taking this outside." Max threatened.

"What is going on here?" Popko sighed.

"I have no idea." Jackson admitted.

"Neither do I. Let's go see that movie." Ramona suggested.

"That's right, Popko. You'd best walk away." Max calls out as the group started to leave. "You're lucky I'm not allowed out after dark!"

Violet had to admit she was worried for Ramona. She didn't like seeing her friend so upset. It sucked to see her friend so hurt and disappointed. She couldn't imagine what it was like, but she could tell Ramona was very upset. Violet realized Ramona was gone half way through the movie and she hoped that Ramona was okay.

At the end when they all left and went home, Violet went next door with Jackson. "We're home!" Jackson called out.

Ramona suddenly walks downstairs quickly, standing by them. "I'm home too!"

"Mona, what happened? Are you okay?" Violet asks in concern. "You disappeared half way through the movie."

"I'll tell you later. Just play dumb." Ramona pleaded as her parents walked into the room excitedly.

"How was my little girl's first date?" Kimmy grinned.

"It was so romantic. I'll remember it forever." Ramona lies. "Going to bed now." She turned to the stairs, but her dad stopped her.

"We want details. Was Senor Popko a gentleman?"

"Oh, he was to me. He bought me popcorn and held the door." Jackson remarked, earning a snicker and an eye roll from Violet.

The door suddenly opens and DJ and Stephanie walks in. "Hey, Ramona! How was your first date?" DJ asked with a smile, closing the door behind her.

"Yeah, tell us everything." Stephanie chimed in as Max walked into the room from the kitchen.

Ramona sighs. "For the last time, it was romantic and I'll remember it forever. Good night."

Violet frowns, watching her friend walk up the stairs. She felt bad for her friend. "What's wrong with Ramona?" Kimmy frowned.

"Here's what I know." Max spoke up.

Violet sat down on the arm chair of the couch and next to where Jackson sat on the nightstand by the couch while Stephanie and DJ sat down on the couch. "At first, Ramona didn't like Popko. Then she kissed him. Then she liked him. Then he showed up with another girl, so she didn't like him. Or maybe she still did." Max shrugs. "That part's fuzzy. Then she snuck out of the movie theater, hid in my room, and helped me tickle a dog and a baby. "I should talk to her." Fernando voiced, beginning to walk over to the stairs.

Kimmy stops him. "No, you stay here. This is a girl thing."

"Hey, I know about girl things." Fernando defends himself while Max sat on the couch by his mom. "Like girl feelings and girl puberty and..." His voice trails off as he realized he didn't know about that stuff. He grimaces. "You're right. I should stay here."

Kimmy nods in agreement and then turns to DJ and Stephanie. "She-wolf pack, upstairs." She glances at Violet with a small smile. "You too, Violet." She then starts walking to the stairs. "Mush."

Violet chuckles as she follows the women. The four of them head upstairs and walk to Ramona's room. Ramona had finished taking off her shoes just as the four girls walked in. "Hey," Kimmy said softly, standing by her daughter. "Max told us what happened. Are you okay?"

"Yes, I'm fine." Ramona admits. "I'm just never going on a date again. Not that I even went on one. I was so stupid." She frowned, walking over to sit down on a couch in her room.

Kimmy sends her a sympathetic look, going over to sit by her. "Oh, honey, you weren't stupid, you just got caught up in your feelings. "

"And out of all the boys to like. Why did I fall for Popko?" Ramona frowns. "He's such a jerk."

"I can answer this one." Stephanie speaks up. "To quote the queen of disco, Donna Summer, 'Bad, bad, bad, bad boys. They make me feel so good'." The others look at her weirdly and she shrugs. "What? I mean, they do. Well, until they don't."

"Which is why you have to be careful who you pick." DJ adds. "Because some guys can be jerks. And some guys can...Just like guys." She shakes her head. "But enough about my night." Violet raised her eyebrows, glancing at DJ curiously and wondering how her night went.

"I think what they're trying to say is you have to make sure whoever you're kissing is worthy of you." Kimmy explains. "Because you are precious." She kissed the top of her daughter's head, pulling her in for a side hug.

"Same goes for you, Vivi." Stephanie speaks up and Violet smiles as Stephanie pulls her in for a side hug. "You both deserve nothing but the best."

"Thanks, you guys." Ramona smiled softly.

"Yeah, thank you. That means a lot." Violet admits. She then takes a deep breath, her face heating up and her heart races as she tries to get the courage to confess something. "While we're on the topic of first kisses and dating...There's something I need to tell you guys."

"What is it?" Kimmy inquired, her eyebrows furrowing.

"Well, the thing is, um, I have feelings for Jackson." Violet confesses, feeling her face heat up. "I think...Maybe. I'm not a hundred percent sure yet. It's a bit confusing."

"I knew it!" Stephanie grins. "But what happened with Ryker?"

"Well, we broke up, but we ended on good terms." Violet replies with a small smile. Then she grimaces, looking nervous as she says the next part. "And now that I think I'm having these feelings for my best friend is kinda freaking me out. What if he doesn't like me back and we're no longer friends?"

"That won't happen, sweetie." DJ reassured her.

"She's right. Don't worry. I just know you guys are perfect for each other." Stephanie smiles reassuringly. "But you don't have to do anything until you know for sure about your feelings. There's no rush."

Violet smiles, feeling relief wash over her. She didn't realize she needed that reassurance until now. "Thank you, guys."

Since they were on the topic of first kisses earlier, DJ, Stephanie, and Kimmy reminiscence on their first kiss and some didn't have the best first kiss like Ramona.

"So your first kisses weren't very special either?" Ramona asks with a small smile. "That makes me feel better."

"The good news is your first kiss is not your last kiss." Kimmy commented.

"Yeah, both of you guys are gonna kiss a lot of boys." Stephanie smiled.

DJ looks nervous and shakes her head. "Well, hopefully not that many."

"Just know that I'm always here for you." Kimmy said to Ramona.

"Me too." DJ chimed in.

"So am I." Stephanie adds. She glances at Violet with a soft smile. "Same goes for you, Vivi. We're all always here for you too."

"Yeah, thanks." Violet replies. "I feel a lot better talking about it. So thank you."

"Anytime, sweetie." Kimmy smiled.

"I gotta admit, this three moms thing is kinda cool." Ramona grinned.

"You know what? I'd like to nominate Ramona and Violet to become an honorary she-wolf pup in training." Kimmy spoke up.

Stephanie smiles. "I second."

"All in favor, say I." DJ voiced with a smile.

The three women said 'i' in unison and Violet shares a smile with Ramona. "Are you girls ready for your first official howl?" Kimmy asked.

Ramona smiles nervously. "I'm a little nervously."

"Me too." Violet admitted.

"Oh, so was I, just do your best." DJ encourages. "Three, two, one." The five of them howl, raising their arms up to their heads as if they had wolf ears. Then they all got up and hugged each other with smiles. Violet was happy to know that while she didn't have her mother around, she had three amazing women she could always count on.
