Tutorial :
1. Make a new canvas and add the background.

2. Add a new layer and color it with your color scheme then change the blending mode to the one that suits best. Mine's multiply.

. Add your PNG

4. I want to make the PNG black and white but keep the red parts, so go to the selection layer (the pink one at the top) and color the parts you don't want to change the colors.

. Invert the selection.

6. Go to filter > adjust color > grayscale

7. Go back to the selection layer and remove selection

8. Optional, add a white drop shadow then lower the opacity.
