valentine's day special

Jinsoo groaned in frustration, he had made reservations at some fancy restaurant a month ago for Valentine's day and they had called him only then and informed him that they were overbooked and his reservation was canceled.    

Now his plans for him and Chan were ruined, he had wanted to give Chan the most perfect Valentine's day and take him somewhere special that evening, but now he had no chance of doing that, all because some restaurant canceled his reservation.

Jinsoo gathered his thought and texted Minho hoping that the younger boy would have some idea of what to do. As soon as Jinsoo sent Minho a text explaining the whole situation the younger told him he'd come over and set up an equally as romantic dinner at home and reassured him that Chan would love anytime he spent with Jinsoo.

Minho arrived within 15  minutes of sending him the text, ready with ingredients for a nice home-cooked meal, snacks, movies, and decorations, ready to help out one of his best friends help prepare the best Valentine's day dinner for his other best friend.

"Alright now you get to the cooking and I'll start decorating the dining and living room," were the first words to leave his mouth, he then proceeded to push past Jinsoo and got started with decorating. Jinsoo continued to stand there momentarily stunned by Minho's sudden focused and determined behavior. "what are you just gonna stand there all night or are you gonna get started, we have about two hours until Jungkook brings Chan here, I texted him on my way here about your new plan."

Jinsoo shook his head and quickly started working on the recipe provided by Minho.

An hour and a half later Jinsoo had finally finished cooking, and now was frantically searching through his closet for an outfit to wear. when he finally grabbed ahold of his tuxedo in the very back of his closet he swiftly turned towards the bathroom and went go get ready, Chan would be arriving in 20 minutes, meaning he had to hurry.

He rushed down the stairs just as the doorbell rang, it seemed that Minho had set everything up and left. Jinsoo cracked open the door to find an adorably confused and well-dressed Chan, waving at a grinning Jungkook who was driving away.

"You look amazing Chan," an awestruck Jinsoo said before inviting the boy into the beautifully decorated house.

"I'd say the same about you, but you look more than amazing, you look extraordinary,"  Chan responded with a chuckle as he walked into the candlelit dining room.

"I planned on taking you to that one fancy restaurant that's not that far from here... " Jinsoo trailed off, pausing before whispering, "but they canceled my reservation. Minho helped me set up the house and I made chicken and some other dishes for us! " Jinsoo rushed out an explanation."

"Aww Jinsoo, I'd be happy if we just spent time together, and thank you for putting so much effort into this, this is more amazing than going to some 5-star restaurant," Chan replied immediately, causing Jinsoo's smile to light up his face again.

The two boys spent the rest of the night eating food and watching movies, Chan had decided to stay the night so the two could continue having their movie marathon and cuddling. Comfortable in Jinsoo's sweater that he borrowed the boy smiled his heart content with the days events.
