"We really have come that far, huh?" I said to the cashier of this game store I'm currently in. Thankfully its really late and there's no other person around to recognize me, I finally had the chance to search the place for cool new games most especially now that the band is on hiatus again.

The cashier checked the game that I decided to buy and he smiled in agreement with me too. That game really amazed me and of course, together with that game console too. This year had been a successful year for virtual realities and this game console took that concept to another level. Brain cells are already involved throughout the process and all a gamer will do is lay down and let the brain and gaming skills do its work. It's really mind blowing.

"You're lucky to experience such invention. This game is super amazing and I don't even have the right word to describe how cool it is. All I can say is it's a full blown virtual reality world, it's a musical and rhythm based game with an RPG type of genre. I hope you enjoy playing this!" he said enthusiastically which made me chuckle.

"Heck, I will." I assured him. Yeah, I'll probably enjoy this game because, in the first place, I had a big reason why I chose this virtual reality world.

I took my purchase, thanked and tipped the guy before leaving and driving excitedly towards my house. I honestly missed this feeling. I have nothing to worry about, I'm all free, and I have my games to play when I come home. I know this will only be a temporary feeling again, but I might as well make the most of it while I can.

I finally reached my house, going straight to my bedroom, starting to set up this gaming console. Seriously, this is hard to set up and I really had to read the manual or else I'd be stuck in here for years.

"Goddamn, finally!" I said to myself as I look at the head gear. It's just a simple head gear that can bring a temporary escape from this life of mine and I can't wait to take that chance. I look on the clock, it's already 1 in the morning, but I still feel so alive. Maybe it's just my body clock, but I'm thankful for that now because I really want to play this game right this instant.

I finally laid down the bed, connected the game in the head gear and when it lit up green I found myself smiling like a kid who just saw some candy.

"Well, here goes nothing!" I said and wore the head gear and the moment it was in position, I felt like I drifted into a deep sleep.

I opened eyes and I heard that voice and again, this is all too mind blowing. I'm physically standing in a futuristic looking room. It's like I'm not even in a game in here. I heard the voice of a girl too, it was like siri, but I guess its an A.I. or something in this game. She asked me a question and I know I'm inside a game so I was waiting for the choices to pop up, but nothing came.

"Um...male." I spoke.

Now for the appearance of your avatar, do you want to animate your real life self or customize a new look?

"Customize a new look please." I answered with a smile, god this technology is really amazing me.

I proceeded to create the appearance of my own avatar and I know we all look like anime characters in here which is I think is cool. I really don't want games that come close to reality when it comes to graphics, I appreciate this kind of look more. I really had time to customize my own look in here and I finally had the chance to make my hair color blue. Somehow I always like that hair color. Pete tried to push me one time, but I guess my motivation wasn't enough.

"Okay, all done." I said aloud.

She said and after that, I can see different musical instruments in front of me...with a twist. It was like in our Young Blood Chronicles, the instruments were turned into weapons and god it looks so bad ass! The drum is like a bow and the drumsticks were the sharp arrows; the bass guitar was shaped like an axe and electric guitar like a sword; there are piano keys which are connected to wires that make a whip.

"This is so cool!" I said as I slowly walk towards the instruments. At first, I was going after the electric guitar, but my instincts led me the other way and soon enough I found myself standing in front of the drum.

I slowly reached for it and after a while, I was already holding it in my hands. I also had the chance to customize it which is cool too.

"Okay, I choose this guitar." I said and the other instruments disappear.

Now before you enter the game, what is your avatar name? You can use any kind of name, username, or codename as long as it is still available.

She said and I nodded. I'm sure as hell I'm not going for my name, maybe I'll just choose some codename or something. I haven't really thought about this, but I guess I can still think of at least one now.

"Benzedrine." I mindlessly murmured, hmm...I think that's good.

"Wait, what?" I asked in shock. Well, this game has a fast pacing.

This game is a rhythm based game, you just have to take in the rhythm and use your weapon. You will see spots in your enemy which you can hit. The higher the combo you'll get, the higher the damage the enemy will receive.

"Okay, Patrick, this is just like other MMO RPG games but with just musical instruments as weapons, you can do it." I whispered to myself.

Grassland...I was transported in a grassland, but really I cannot concentrate now. I feel like I'm a character in one anime and this is so cool!

I can move around naturally like I'm not controlling some game avatar, it really feels like...me. I started to look around and it seems so quiet in here, I thought it was battle ground? Well, I guess I should just find my way to the city.

I started to walk around, but suddenly, I heard a rustling noise behind me. I looked back instantly and saw this big brown pig meter away from me and it's looking at me like I'm his lunch or something. I immediately panicked after that as I saw it began to charge.

"Okay, don't panic! Don't panic! Shoot it!" I said to myself and I aimed my drum bow at the creature.

The moment I aimed it, I heard a catchy beat, now I just have to go with the flow of this beat to make a combo and defeat that creature. Finally, I aimed my weapon on the right spot and soon enough, I let the beat drive me and shoot the arrow. I heard the creature squeal, but my attack wasn't enough to kill it but it's already charging towards me. I kept on shooting it, but because of panicking I was out of the beat somehow.

"Well, freak!" I said allowed as I saw it was about to jump on me. I just instantly cover myself with my hands, anticipating the impact.

"Hiyaaah!" I suddenly heard before the pig got to me. I opened my eyes, seeing it transforming to a mist. Behind the creature, I saw a girl that finished that pig. "For a started you managed to weaken that monster pretty good. You got a good beat." She said.

It was a girl avatar, having a long red hair and a bad ass fighting armor. She's probably hundreds of level above me. Her weapon is the electric guitar sword.

"Um...thanks, I guess?" I answered as I regain my posture.

"I'm still really amazed to this game which just throws you right on the game play almost immediately." She said while laughing.

"I guess tutorials are too mainstream nowadays?" I told her which made us laugh.

"You're probably right." She answered me and with that she looked back and I did too, and I juts knew the reason why. "Well, since you a good beat a full health meter, help me with this herd?" she asked. There are like six of those pigs coming running towards us.

"What did you do?" I told her and she gave me a guilty smile.

"Well, I might have angered them while I was completing a mission?" she answered and just went for it.

The girl was so bad ass that she managed to kill two of those monsters with one hit. I pushed myself to attack the others with my bow too and she's right, I'm somehow good at this.

"Whoa! I think we need to run!" she said, backing away, there are a lot more of them coming this way!" she said in panic.

"What?!" I asked in shock.

"Run! I know the way to the transporter! It's not that far...run!" she said and we're off.

God, this is a game, but I'm feeling all the tension, the fatigue, and everything! I was losing my breath, my feet hurts, but I can't stop now.

"This is amazing, but heck, it's tiring!" I shouted. The girl who's running beside me laughed.

"I guess you're not used to this kind of physical activity." She said and I agreed with her. "There it is! Just stand on it and we're off to the city, don't worry we'll be safe there!" she told me and we kept running.

"Thanks for saving me!" I told her, thinking that we may not be able to meet again.

"Same to you, new guy. See you around the city!" she said and went straight for the transporter and I followed her next and with that, I was transported to this cool looking main city of the game.
