hello, sunshine. it's your birthday today! why do I always feel so excited when your birthday is coming? is it because it is the only letter from mine that you will never throw it away? you appreciate everyone who wrote a birthday letter to you, so I took this chance to shower my love for you and make this birthday is the happiest birthday for you ever.

you didn't go to the playground on your last birthday. I was waiting for you but what should I expect, right? you must be so busy with your friends. so, that's okay. I didn't feel sad or regretful at all.

will you come to the playground this time?

it's your birthday! so, happy birthday, sunshine! may this birthday be the happiest birthday for you. You will read this, right?
so I just want to say that,

   Taeyoung chuckled, handing the letters to Sunoo after he was done reading them. He was just laughing because he couldn't believe that the noisy girl would fall for his best friend, Sunoo. Just by imagining if both of them together makes him laugh more. The combination of a cold-hearted guy with a childish girl, the result would be so insane.

Sunoo rolled his eyes and put the letter away before continuing to arrange some books on his locker. "That's not funny."

"Her efforts are so countless. I didn't expect she to fall for you that much."Taeyoung brushed his hair while his eyes were searching for Chaewol, wanting to tease his friend more.

"What should I do, Taeyoung? There's nothing
that could stop her. She still asks for me to watch the fireworks with her. I don't know why is she so obsessed over that small thing."

"You should just go out with her then. It's just watching fireworks. what if she will shut her mouth after that and never appear in front of you again? or what if it is the last wish from her before she moves on from you?"

Sunoo shut his mouth, thinking that his friend was right but later then, he shook his head and pushed his friend away. "Stop dragging me to go to her. I will not fall for you this time."

Taeyoung laughed and pushed Sunoo away,
"You almost fell for it!"

"Oh shut up."Sunoo rolled his eyes.

"I wonder what will she write this time. Your birthday is in one month. Get ready to receive tons of letters again."

"Is today 24 May?" Taeyoung nodded in response making Sunoo sigh and knock his head on the locker, "That's why she keeps bothering me. Is that mean I need to face her and listen to her nonsense again?"

"She will ask you to watch the fireworks with you every single time." Sunoo brushed his hair out of his face,

"How long do I need to face this?"

"Instead of complaining, try to cherish this moment before everything changes. you don't know if you will meet someone like her again, someone who truly loves you."

"Oh stop. I will not fall for you."

Taeyoung chuckled,
"Oh by the way. Where is that girl? I always saw her standing next to your locker with letters in her hand every time I arrive at school."

"It suddenly feels so strange without seeing her here."Taeyoung continued.

"Just search for her then. Don't drag me with you. I'm not curious about her." Sunoo replied and walked to the classroom without waiting for Taeyoung.

  "Take the medicine and don't forget your next appointment."

"Thank you, Mrs.Lee." Chaewol bowed respectfully and went to the bench to take a 5 minutes rest because she felt so tired from working too much today. She patted her chest, gently massaged it when it felt so sucks as something stuck on her lungs that made her couldn't breathe properly.

Chaewol leaned her head against the wall,
taking a deep breath and letting it out, continue doing the same thing until she finally feels good again.

"Sucks."She muttered and opened her eyes slowly, just staring at the ceiling without saying anything. All she could think about is the cost of the surgery. She was so clueless and blank out because she has nothing to do anymore. The cost is so unaffordable which makes her keep thinking to do some part-time jobs to search for money, but would it be enough? would she get the amount of money that she wanted before the situation get worst?

the doctor told her that the surgery was risky to be done but at the same time, it was just the only way for her to be cured again. The treatment that she has done since 2 years ago wasn't enough to heal the heart. she took a lot of medicines and did everything as the doctor taught her to but it still didn't give any sign to be cured. Her situation was getting so worst at this point which doctors highly recommend she do the surgery.

"What should I do...?" She mumbled, so clearly that she was holding the pain in her voice.

"It's one month before his birthday. I wish I were there with him that time. I wish I were healthier. I wish I could see him at the playground that time."

Chaewol looked down and smiled.
"It's okay. Don't overthink. Everything will
be okay. Just work hard to pay for the surgery. Just work as much as you can. Don't give up.
We don't know what will happen in the future, right?"

"Don't mind about the risk of the surgery, Chaewol. Just pray for the best to god. Everything could happen but I hope it's a good one." She smiles again.

"Sunoo, I want to see you right now. You're the only one who could save me. I'm slowly giving up. I don't want to feel this kind of feeling." She muttered and wiped her tears.

"That sucks. I am such a loser who born with problematic and poor heart condition."
