It was vivid and sunny outside. Slight breeze of wind. I was playing soccer with my teammates out in our schools football field. Other students scattered throughout the bleachers watching or studying. We all played until the period was over.

"Good practice girls" our coach announced.

Everyone was all sweaty and exhausted. Including me of course.

I walked to get my water bottle and bag off of the bench. Chugging my water down. When I spot a shadow in front of me.

"Hey there pretty lady." A familiar voice said.

I looked up to meet the brown eyes of the one and only Louis Partridge. His brown fluffy hair was messy and lopsided. He didn't have his blazer on. Leaving him in a white button up with our striped school tie and black trousers.

"how's it going?" he asked.

"Oh yeah, sweating like a pig actually, and yourself?" I exclaimed with a sarcastic smile.

"Well that's one way to get a guys attention huh?" he smiled back.

"My mission in life." I said with such sarcasm, while walking away. He started walking with me too.

"And so you see it worked, the world makes sense again." I noted.

"Pick you up on Friday then." He responded.

"Oh yeah Friday uh huh." Bringing out more sarcasm.

"Well I'll take you places that night you've never been before." Louis mentioned.

"Like where, the Bp on Bridge Road?" I asked with a small laugh.

"Do you even know my name screw boy?" I questioned again.

"I know a lot more than you think." he answered.

I scoffed. "Doubtful, very doubtful." I stated and walked away.

After school, I walked to the nearby book shop, that had a music section, to pick up some new cds. I would sometimes stop by there for some alone time or just because I didn't wanna go home.

Don't get me wrong my parents are great. I'd just get bored being in the house all day, with no one to talk to.

I looked around searching for Billie Eilish's recent album and Clairo's 2019 album. I've recently been getting more into Clairo when I first heard her song "pretty girl" on the radio. Her voice gave me comfort considering it sounding like an angel.

After waiting in line, and paying for the two cds I walked out the shop. When exiting the shop I spotted Louis waiting by a car. We made eye contact and he rushed up right to me. I rolled my eyes and turned to walk the other way.

He seemed to catch up to me. I stopped and spoke out.

"Are you following me?" I implied.

"I was in the laundry mat, I saw your familiar brown hair, and came over to say hi." he insisted.

"Hi." I sarcastically said, walking farther away.

"Not a big talker huh?" he said blocking my way.

"Depends on the topic." I proposed.

"You're not taking a liking to me are you?" he claimed.

"Like you? Why would I like you?" I asked.

"Well, almost everyone does." he smirked.

"Well I don't." I narrowed my eyes.

"Well maybe you don't like me, but I'm sure you've noticed how handsome I am." he protested with a wink.

I gasped sarcastically. "Am I that gullible?" I stated with my mouth open.

"Your so cute, hot, gorgeous, oh oh." batting my eyelashes. Then rolling my eyes afterwards and walking away.

He let out an annoyed sigh and walked away too.

When I got home, the scene of me and Louis kept replaying in my head.

"I saw your familiar brown hair and came over to say hi"

Why would he want to say hi to me? Out of all girls he could have said hi to in the shop, he wanted to speak to me. Days are getting weirder by the minute.

My parents weren't home of course. Today my dad took my mom on a date. I found it very sweet. My parents were always loving with each other. One day I wish to have a love just like them. They told me that they met in high school. Making them high school sweethearts.

High school love in my days right now don't really last very long. The boys in my school are a bunch of douche bags. In my point of view, it seems to me they treat the girls like complete utter shit. It's always ends in them just using the poor girls.

That's why I always keep my guards up. Mostly focusing on school and myself. Little crushes then and there, but they never meant anything.

Like I said, I want my first relationship to be special. I don't have any experience, but it's always about communication and trust.

I push all the ideas of relationships out of my head and move on to my homework.
