I was riding on Kong's shoulder when the noises came. I look at the area the noise came from as Kong and I made our way over. "Kong be careful we don't kn..." I was cut off by giant metal birds and the sound of explosions.

I looked to Kong, "We have to stop the metal birds! They'll wake the Skull Crawlers!"

He grunted in response and we made our way to the birds. I slid down to Kong's hand and whistled for a Spider, "Here's my stop!" I jumped from Kong's hand and was caught by the spider, "Take me to the trees. I need to stop them from hurting anyone."

She nodded and went towards the trees. I jumped off her back and land on my feet carefully watching as the birds start to fall. I heard screams and yells and raced towards the one closest to me.

I got to the crash cite and saw a man crawling out of the bird, "Hey! Are you guys okay?!"

Out of nowhere I get something huge and noisy pointed at me. I threw my hands up and the man walked towards me, "Who are you?"

"Depends... Who are you?"

"I am Captain James Conrad. Now who are you?"

I smile and do my best to avoid the thing he has pointing at me, "The name's Pluto. Nice to meet ya Cap!"

He seemed confused but put his weapon down any way.

"How did you get here?" I looked at him and furrowed my brow.

"I've been here for years. How'd you get that giant metal bird past the storm?"

He laughed, "Giant metal bird? Pluto have you never seen a helicopter?"

I shook my head before sensing something and turning towards where I left Kong.

Cap looked towards that direction, "What is it Pluto?"

"Kong... I think he's hurt..."

He gives me a confused look, "Kong?"

I nod and turn back to him, "I need to get a better look at the area... Get everyone out of the uh..."

"Helicopter?"

"Yeah that." He nods and I head towards the closest mountain top.

I climb the mountain and begin looking around. Soon I am joined by Conrad.

"Are they all okay?" he nods and I adjust my sleeves to cover my hands.

I think he caught me because he grabbed my arm and I tried to pull away, "What are you hiding? And why does it make you wince?"

I gasped as he lifted my sleeves and saw my cuts, "Why did you do this to yourself?"

I look away with a tear in my eye. He looked at me sadly, "What possessed you to do this?"

"N-nothing..." I grabbed my arm back and walked back towards the giant bird. "Are you all alright?"

A woman looked at me, "Who are you?"

"Her name is Pluto. She's lived on this island for years."

I gave him a look and said, "I'm gonna get you to safety. Once night falls you will want to be somewhere safe."

She smiled at me, "Thank you Pluto. My name is Mason Weaver."

"Nice to meet you Mason! Now are you all good to go? We need to get to the ruins soon."

They nodded and I lead the way.

Conrad spoke up after the long silence that I was used to, "What was that?"

I turned to him, "What are ya talking about?"

"That creature that took down our planes."

"He isn't a creature. His name is Kong. And he is the king."
