The darkness surrounds me, holding me back from seeing you. Memories flicker in and out of sight that bring back the pain I casted aside long ago.

I'm trapped, I can't escape from these chain that hold me tight forcing me to witness what is a memory. The memory I hoped to forget.

Haggard breathing and tear stained cheeks. Eyes red and wet from unshed tears. Memories still flickering before my eyes even when sleep is no more.

Yearning for any distraction the young fish catches my sight. Elegant blue fins flow behind him as he swims with pride. Swimming back and forth up and down. All around the tank. Even trapped in paradise he lives as if he owns the world.

If only I could be like him, let my blue fins flow behind me as I conquer my dreams.
