The Music Hall

A Harmonic blend of voices echoed throughout the concert hall. Bass and treble parts mixed together in perfect, unbroken unity. Chills were sent down the backs of all in attendance as they listened, mouths agape in disbelief. Dissonance seemed to be a thing of mere fiction in that moment. Eyes filled with tears and even the rowdiest child there fell silent. Falling and rising harmonies joined the main melody as it was shared between singers, each part getting a chance to shine as they took the lead. Gold and diamonds were nothing in comparison to the value of this one moment. Heaven itself seemed to fill the air in this space. It was nothing short of magical.

Just as one thought the song would end the voices once again grew louder, resonating with the most deep and full sound imaginable. Kind of like the sounds of nature on a clear spring morning. Light just shining over the horizon as the sun peeked over. Music had that power, the power to transport you from the real world to a world where life itself bends to it's will. Nothing could ever compare to it. Once the song ended all who heard it stayed still. Perfect silence filled the space for what seemed like hours though in reality it was nothing more than a few seconds. Quiet doesn't last forever though. Resiliently, sound returned to the room. Sounds of all kinds, panting from the ensemble, cheers from the audience, and auditorium seats flipping up, as people stood to honor the choir. The conductor took a bow. Untainted beauty was felt by all those in attendance as the singers left the stage. Visible tears ran from the eyes of many. Waterworks of joy. Xyloses wasn't as sweet as the story they now had. Youth were inspired to sing. Zeal was instilled in the future singers of the choir.

Author's notes: So this is a bit of a writing challenge kinda deal. You have to write a story where there are exactly 26 sentences and each sentence starts with the next letter in the alphabet. X is a challenge let me tell ya- (Xyloses is a type of sugar btw) Anyway, I thought it was pretty poetic so I posted it here.
