Respect in my opinion,
Has become a game of position,
The word has lost its meaning,
Today's society has lost all courtesy,
Is it an honor or a horror?
That those who get recognition,
Are those with power, riches, looks and position?
What happened to the respect towards the old, the weak, the smart and kind hearted?
Instead of respecting people, we scorn,
Leaving everybody torn.
Some become mad hatters to matter,
And others try to speculate on how to motivate their kids to show respect. From whom should they learn? The apple does not fall far from the tree they say.
Submit to the laws and take heed! Maybe less people will bleed and the number of grieving families decrease.
Look away and take heed!
The TV lies leaving you crying at your reflection.
We all deserve to be loved, cared for, and respected.
You are enough
