We have a strange relationship,

My spectacles and me.

I really, really hate them,

But they are so good to me.

I can't drive without my distance pair

Or without my others, read a book.

It's impossible without them

To take a little 'look.'

My computer pair aren't trendy,

When I glance in the mirror I scowl.

For when I wear my computer ones,

I look like a stupid old owl.

I've been wearing 'specs' since age of ten

And although I hate them so,

I cannot see without them

So I wear them wherever I go.

We have a strange relationship,

I could not get on with varifocals, which are

probably the best glasses to have.  They made

me feel dizzy and were so uncomfortable.  So

I have three pairs.  One distance, for driving,

one for reading and another for computer

work, which also have a protective coating

to protect my eyes from the harmful rays.

Oh, and I do like prescription sunglasses

too, but could not afford them this time, so

bought a pair of clip on shades, to fit my

distance pair.
