Squirrel visited me today

Squirrel visited me today,

But he didn't wish to stay.

He did his usual mischief

and then he skipped away.

Robin visited me today

And sang his wondrous song.

I could listen to him singing

so beautifully, all day long.

Blackbird came today

Upon the fence to sit.

He had a good look around him

then upped and did a flit.

Rat came to visit today,

Hear everyone 'Oh' and sigh.

Why are we so scared of a creature

less then 30 cm high?

Sun came to visit today,

But couldn't be bothered to stay.

He slipped behind the dark grey clouds...

and then went on his way!
