I will always offer you tea and sympathy.

You can cry on my shoulder, I will understand.

A solution to the problem is often at hand.

You can have a hug too; they come free!

I will give you warmth and positivity.

A friend once said "Don't you patronise me!"

but I was only giving him my best sympathy.

I never understood his words, they were above my head.

I was never patronising, I was kind to him instead!

I'm not good at making, a nice cup of tea,

but still you'll benefit from my sincere sympathy.

I care about your feelings, most definitely!

You'll go home feeling better, though you came feeling sad,

having shared your problem, it will not look so bad.

for the best sympathy, (but not such a good cup of tea!).
