"Yo," she greeted me. I was sitting under the apple tree at our middle school. I was skipping biology for today, but I guess my sister had the same idea.

"What's up, sis?" I asked. She shrugged.

"You know, hating life and algebra," she responded. "What about you?"

"Hating biology," I replied.
