Y/N always tried hard to keep up with Blue in almost everything they did since they were children. She would try so hard to the point where she was so tired, that she could faint. Yet no matter how hard Y/N tried, Blue would always be one step ahead of her constantly mocking and teasing her. Blue didn't know it, but it always bothered her. And it only bothered her even more once they started their journey.
Y/N was 15 and Blue was 16 when they got their starters. Blue chose Squirtle and because of this, Y/N chose Bulbasaur to have the type advantage. But despite that, Blue won every single battle they had. Y/N would cry herself to sleep almost every night. However she kept working hard no matter how tired she was. She eventually beat the gym leaders and the elite 4 of the Indigo Plateau and was about to challenge Blue, who had just recently become the new champion.
As the doors to the champion's chamber opened, Y/N slowly walked towards Blue, all the while trembling and shaking. Once she was standing directly in front of him, he started laughing. "So you finally made it this far, eh Y/N?"
"Y-Yeah....I'm not gonna hold back"
"Alright then." He replied while smirking.

The battle was extremely tiresome for Y/N. She used every last bit of effort and strength, yet despite that, she lost yet again. Blue smirked. "Looks like you still aren't strong enough "Y/N."
Y/N's lips were trembling and her eyes were on the verge of tears. She just couldn't take it anymore.
"Wh-Why?" She asked herself.
"Why do I always lose!? No matter how hard I try. A-and why do you always make fun of me!? Wh-What did I ever do to you?!"
Y/N was on the floor sobbing and bawling and crying. She felt weak and pathetic and that there was nothing else left to do. Blue looked at her sadly. He instantly regretted everything he said to her throughout the years he had known her. He then kneeled on the floor in front of  Y/N and hugged her. "Y/N....I'm sorry.....I didn't know you took it so seriously. You have every right to hate me."
He had tears in the corners of his eyes. He kept apologizing to her over and over, until to his surprise, Y/N hugged back. "It's ok..." she replied. Blue than kissed her forehead and said "I promise I will never say that stuff again..."
