Some karate guy outside the PokéMart got mad at me and gave me Swords Dance. An old lady gave me an egg which I took some time to hatch, and it turned out to be a Wynaut.

My fingers hurt from biking back and forth...

I named him James and put him back into the PC forever.

I went back to battle as many trainers as possible in Flannery's gym because my team is slightly underleveled right now. I actually got to Flannery, and beat her on the first try with Qwerti. I used a Dire Hit and critical hit her entire team.

She gave me TM Overheat. Surprisingly, Harry can actually learn it.

I met May again on the way out, and she brought me back to Petalburg to fight Norman, aka my dad. I went all the way to Devon Corporation in Rustboro City so I could get a Pidgeotite from Mr. Stone.

I rebattled a bunch of trainers on my way back to Mauville City, and Qwerti actually evolved!

I went to Route 111 and took a Claw Fossil. I also encountered a Cacnea that accidentally killed with Quick Attack... I also found TM Sandstorm. Then I went to Fiery Path and met the weird tree-sniffer guy who gave me TM Nature Power.

I also found a Fire Stone. And TM Toxic that I taught to Arlo. I'm getting a lot of TMs this chapter.

I went all the way back to Petalburg and went straight into the gym. I went through the Speed door first and defeated the guy's Delcatty pretty easily. Arlo was getting super ahead of the team with levels so I put Celery in front.

He beat the next trainer with ease and Hitoka beat the trainer after that. Finally we got to Norman. Arlo took out the first Slaking, and Qwerti took care of the Vigoroth.

The second Slaking came scarily close to killing Arlo, but he lived on 20 HP and I switched to Qwerti in order to heal and let Slaking slowly lose health from poisoning, and get finished off with Water Gun.

Hell yeah!

We're on the fifth gym badge and so far, only Ziggy has died. This run is going way better than my last one :')

Norman gave me TM Retaliate and outside, we met BEST BOI IN THE WHOLE WORLD WALLY-

Anyways, his dad gave me HM Surf which was amazing. Qwerti needs a water type move besides water gun. Also, we can travel on water now!
