Previously in Pokemon Chaos and Order...

The Unova League has just begun, and it did so with a bang! The first battle of the League was Ash vs. Amber, and even though the latter had the advantage, Ash was able to turn the Battle around and win.

Tierno, Trevor, Trip, Kevin, Ash and Sawyer are still in the League, even though some of the get eliminated. After a barrage of Battles, we now cut to the Quarter Finals, and the battle between Ash and Sawyer.

"Welcome back, competitors and spectators alike!" The announcer exclaimed. "We've seen a lot of battles this Unova League, and unfortunately it's the beginning of the end... Kevin Kong, Trip Shooty and Remo Louie made it to the Semi-Finals! And now the final slot of the Semi-Finals will be decided! Will it be Ash? Or will it be Sawyer? We'll find out soon!"

Ash was just done healing his Pokemon with the help of Nurse Joy. "Mr. Ketchum, I would like to thank you for waiting..." she said with a sweet tone. "I'm happy to inform you that your Pokemon are completely fighting fit! We hope to see you again..." "Thanks a lot Nurse Joy!" Ash replied as he picked up the tray of Pokeballs in front of him.

Ash starts to walk towards the Battlefield and the battle that awaits him with his on-again-off-again rival from the Hoenn Region. "Ash! Wait a minute!" Serena runs up to Ash and stops him before he could step towards the Battlefield. Ash turns around to face her.

"What's up Serena?" He asks her. Serena starts to look around for something in her purse. She finally finds what she was looking for and presented it to Ash. It was the same handkerchief she used to wrap around Ash's injured foot when they fell in a ditch back at Professor Juniper's Camp.

"I want you to have this..." she said in a hushed tone, slightly blushing. "For good luck..." Ash looked stunned at Serena's act of kindness, giving him something he knows holds a lot of meaning for her, just for luck. He smiled.

"Thanks Serena..." Ash said before taking it. "I promise you I'll give it back..." he then walked over to the Battlefield, with Sawyer already waiting for him there. "Took you long enough Ash..." Sawyer said in a semi-mocking tone. Ash then tied the handkerchief around his neck (like Fred Jones from Scooby-Doo).

Ash then gave Sawyer a sharp look of confidence. "Sorry to keep you waiting..." he said while smirking his signature smirk. "As retribution, let's start this Battle already!" He exclaimed, just as the referee walked up to the Referee stand.

"The Quarter-Final Unova League battle between Ash Ketchum and Sawyer Shota is about to begin!" He exclaimed. "This will be a three-on-three Pokemon Battle. The battle will be over as soon as all three Pokemon of either side are unable to continue. In addition, both Trainers may substitute their Pokemon at will. Please select your first Pokemon!"

Sawyer drew out a Pokeball. "Let me just warn you in advance Ash..." he said. "My Pokemon and I've been Training A LOT! So don't expect us to be pushovers! SLAKING! LET'S GO!" He exclaimed before hurling his Pokeball forward, releasing his first Pokemon.

It was a large, bulky, ape-like bipedal Pokemon. Most of its shaggy fur is brown, along with the semi-circle patterning under its eyes. Its face, chest, hands, and feet are lighter in color. Its brows are thick and jutting, and it has a large, pink, pig-like nose. Around its neck is a white collar of fur that extends over the top of its head before ending in a small tuft. It has large, five-fingered hands and two-toed feet.

"Slaaaaaaaaaaaakiiiiiiiiing..." it yawned. 'So he's starting out with a Normal-type...' Ash thought before drawing out his own Pokeball. "ESPEON! I CHOOSE YOU!" He exclaimed before hurling his Pokeball forward, releasing his Espeon.

"Slaking vs. Espeon..." exclaimed the Referee. "Alright... LET THE BATTLE BEGIN!" He exclaimed as he brought his arms down, signaling that the battle has begun.

"Alright Espeon! Let's start things off with Swift!" Ash commanded. Espeon's tail glows white, before jumping high in the air. Espeon then swings its tail and multiple yellow stars with golden sparkles around them shoot out and hit Slaking.

Despite being hit by a Espeon's Swift attack, Slaking looked unfazed, and merely yawned, as if not amused. "Wow! That Slaking sure can take hits!" Exclaimed the announcer. Ash gritted his teeth. "Alright, now use Psychic! Attack mode!" Ash commanded.

Espeon's eyes glowed cyan and the gem on its forehead glowed red. Its body then becomes surrounded by swirly purple aura. Espeon then jerks its head back and forth (only once), firing a purple blast of energy from it at Slaking which then turns into a sphere of energy that surrounds Slaking, which is then hurled away.

"And that was one powerful Psychic attack!" Exclaimed the announcer. "Slaking had to have felt that!" Sawyer smirked. "Use Slack Off!" He commanded. Slaking yawns and relaxes. The injured parts of its body then sparkle with white energy and its body becomes momentarily covered in a light green, waving aura.

"WHAT?!" Ash exclaimed in shock. "And Slaking was able to heal itself!" The announcer exclaimed, just as surprised as Ash. "Alright Espeon, now use Last Resort!" Ash commanded. Espeon then becomes surrounded by a golden aura. Blue and pink stars began to surround the Espeon's body as it charges at Slaking like a comet, leaving a golden streak behind it. While it was charging, its body becomes surrounded by a golden sphere, making its body appear black and white.

Espeon's Last Resort hits Slaking like a truck, and sends it moving an inch or two backwards. Ash was shocked at the amount of defence Slaking has, but he knew it couldn't keep taking hits forever. "One more time! Last Resort!" Ash commanded. Espeon then pulled the same trick off again, and started to rush towards Slaking.

"NOW SLAKING! USE COUNTER!" Sawyer commanded. Slaking then covers itself with a rainbow-colored aura. As soon as Espeon was about to hit it, Slaking punched Espeon in the chest, transferring all of the energy from the moves it got back at Espeon, and sending it flying backwards with a rainbow-colored shockwave.

"ESPEON!" Ash cried out in worry. Espeon then collided with the ground, unconscious. "Espeon is unable to battle!" The referee exclaimed. "Slaking wins!" "And just like his battle against Amber, Ash has suffered the first defeat..." exclaimed the announcer. "But considering how Ash was able to defeat Amber, even with a disadvantage, I'd say that this battle is still equally matched..."

"You battled great Espeon..." Ash said before returning Espeon to its Pokeball. "You deserve a good rest..." Ash then drew out a second Pokeball. "I gotta admit... you weren't kidding when you said you trained..." Ash told Sawyer. "But I've been Training too! TALONFLAME! I CHOOSE YOU!" He exclaimed as he hurled his Pokeball forward, releasing his Talonflame.

"Alright Talonflame! Now's our chance!" Ash exclaimed. "FLAME CHARGE! FULL POWER!" He commanded. Talonflame's eyes began to lit up with fire before becoming surrounded by rings of fire. Its body then absorbs the rings and becomes outlined in red, orange and yellow flames. Talonflame then rushes at Slaking, gaining speed by the second.

Slaking might be strong and defensive, but its not fast, and so it was hit directly by Talonflame's Flame Charge. "NOW DON'T LET SLAKING RECOVER!" Ash exclaimed. "USE BRAVE BIRD!" He commanded.

Talonflame then flew high up into the sky with incredible speed. It then did a flip and began to nose (or in this case beak) dive back to the earth like a missile. The speed in which Talonflame was going was enough to create enough air-friction to envelop Talonflame in red-yellow flames.

Talonflame the presumably crashed to the ground, creating a cloud of smoke. But almost immediately from said cloud of smoke, Talonflame emerged, now flying at top speed towards Slaking, surrounded by a pixelated aura of blue and white flames (which made its body appear black and blue).

"Quick! Use Hammer Arm!" Sawyer commanded. Slaking raises both of its arms above its head and crosses them. Both of its forearms then start to glow white, and it brings both of its arms down on top of Talonflame. Or at least, it tried. Talonflame was too fast for Slaking, and Brave Bird hit Slaking first, creating a cloud of dust.

When the dust settled, Talonflame was flying in circles on top of Slaking, who was unconscious. "Slaking is unable to battle!" Exclaimed the referee. "Talonflame wins!" "Slaking return..." Sawyer said as he returned Slaking to its Pokeball.

"Not bad Ash..." Sawyer said. "You took my strategy and used it against me..." Ash stretched his arms upwards. "Yep!" He said. "I noticed that Slaking couldn't attack two turns in a row, and as such I decided to use Flame Charge to increase Talonflame's speed, insuring that Brave Bird would hit first!"

Sawyer drew out a Pokeball. "I'm impressed..." he said. "But it'll take you much more then that to defeat my next Pokemon... SALAMANCE! LET'S GO!" He exclaimed as he hurled his Pokeball forward, releasing his Salamance.

"Let's go Salamance! Use Incinerate!" Sawyer commanded. Salamance opened its mouth, causing four swirls of fire to appear in front of it, before solidifying into a fiery orb. It then shoots fireballs with a bright center and black highlights at Talonflame.

'Why would Sawyer start with an attack he knows won't do a lot...' Ash thought, trying to make sense of Sawyer's choice. "No matter... Razor Wind go!" He commanded. Talonflame flew back and began to flap its wings, causing its wings to glow white. Talonflame then slashes the air in front of it, causing two powerful crescent-shaped blades of wind to blast forward and hit the fireballs, creating dozens of smoke clouds around the battlefield.

"NOW USE HYDRO PUMP!" (A move that Salamance can actually learn via breeding), Sawyer commanded. Salamance's body becomes surrounded by a blue aura. It releases a powerful blast of water, surrounded by multiple rings of light blue water which travel along the stream, from its mouth at Talonflame. The Hydro Pump attack dissipated the clouds of smoke and hit Talonflame directly, causing it to crash into the ground bellow.

"TALONFLAME!" Ash exclaimed in worry. Talonflame then crashed into the ground, creating a small crater. "Talonflame is unable to battle!" Exclaimed the referee. "Salamance is the winner!"

"Talonflame return..." Ash said while returning Talonflame to its Pokeball. "So Salamance's Incinerate was just a distraction..." Ash murmured before drawing his third and final Pokeball. "It's all up to you now..." Ash whispered to the Pokeball. "GRENINJA! I CHOOSE YOU!" He exclaimed while hurling his Pokeball forward, releasing his secret weapon.

"Frogadier evolved!" Sawyer exclaimed. "Yep! And it's much, MUCH stronger now!" Ash replied. "We'll just have to beat it then... DRAGON TAIL!" Sawyer commanded. Salamence's tail becomes covered in a purple, scale-patterned aura.

Before Salamance could hit Greninja with its attack, Ash looked up. "Dodge it and use Ice Punch!" Ash commanded. Greninja did just that, ducking under Salamance's tail like he's dancing Limbo.

Greninja then pulls back one of its arms and then a blue icy aura surrounds the hand on that arm. It then jumps forward like it's attached to a spring and punches Salamance straight in the stomach. Salamance then turned blue and patches of snow surrounded its body. Salamance was then hurled backwards by the force of Greninja's punch, crashing into the ground.

"SALAMANCE!" Sawyer cried out in worry. When the dust cleared, Salamance was taken out in one hit. "Salamance is unable to battle!" Exclaimed the referee. "Greninja wins!"

"I gotta admit ladies and gentlemen, this Greninja is one Poke-Powerhouse!" Said the announcer. "It's hard to imagine any Pokemon defeating a Salamance with just one hit, yet here is Ash's Greninja! Doing it without even breaking a sweat!"

Sawyer returned Salamance to its Pokeball and immediately drew out his third Pokeball. "You're all I've got left to count on..." Sawyer whispered to the Pokeball. "SCEPTILE! I CHOOSE YOU!" He exclaimed as he hurled his Pokeball forward, releasing his final Pokemon.

It wa a reptilian, bipedal Pokemon. Its neck is somewhat long, and it has two crests on its head. It has semicircular, yellow eyes with red rims. Its lower jaw and a belt-like band across its waist are also red. Along its back, it has two lines running down the middle and two rows of yellow nodules that are described as seeds. Its tail is shaped similar to that of a palm tree's branch. Both of its long arms have two sharp, elongated leaves and three claws. It had a scarf around its neck and a weird stone on said scarf.

"SCEPTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILE!" It roared. "Whoa! Check it out!" Ash exclaimed in excitement. "Frogadier isn't the only Pokemon to have evolved you know!" Sawyer said from across the battlefield. "So let's make this a battle to remember!" Ash said. "An end to our... Riveting Rivalry!"

Sawyer nodded before taking out his notebook. Attached to the notebook was a stone with similar 'design' to that on Sceptile's scarf, but this one was colorful.

"Let's test this out..." Sawyer whispered before taking the stone in his hands. "NO HOLDING BACK NOW! SCEPTILE... MEGA EVOLVE!" He exclaimed while closing the hand that was holding the stone into a fist. The stone then began to glow yellow and shoot out rays of light from Sawyer's fist.

The stone on Sceptile's scarf also shot out rays of light as it began to glow. Sceptile's body then glowed green before the rays went over to each other, the rays coming out of Sawyer's stone combined with the rays coming out of Sceptile's stone.

When the glow dissipated, Sceptile's appearance was altered drastically. its head crests become more pointed with a round portion missing from the middle. Red marking surround its eyes, which become smaller and more narrow. The yellow seeds down its back grow larger. The last pair of seeds turns red, while the pair above it turns orange. Red stripes encircle the base of its tail and run across its lower belly. The leaves on its wrists become more pointed, and the upper ones have red tips and half-circles cut out of the middles. Covering its chest and shoulders are plates of leaves similar to those that form its tail. Its tail grows longer and develops a red stinger at the tip.

"INCREDIBLE!" Exclaimed the announcer. "SAWYER'S SCEPTILE HAS JUST MEGA EVOLVED!" Ash's face was filled with worry, but almost as soon as it came, Ash's fears went away. "Well you're not the only one holding a Trump Card up their sleeve!" Ash exclaimed.

"LET’S DO THIS GRENINJA!" Ash exclaimed before bringing his right arm upwards, with Greninja doing the same with its left arm. The two of them then become surrounded by golden swirls that resemble DNA. The two of them then close their hands into fists, causing the swirls to synchronize and flatten into a narrow line.

Greninja became surrounded by a mystical veil of water, which eventually forms a whirlpool around it.

The water vortex surrounding Greninja blew up into a million water droplets. The water droplets then began to move until they formed four swirls of water on Greninja's back. The swirls form an orb and eventually a giant Water Shuriken. Greninja stands up, its appearance altered. Ash and Greninja then open their eyes together, which flashed red.

"WHAT THE?!" Sawyer exclaimed in shock. "And Ash wasn't holding anything back either!" Exclaimed the announcer. "As him and Greninja transformed into... something..."

"No way..." Kevin murmured on the audience. "What on Earth is that?!" Red, Gary, Leaf, Amber, Jessie, James and Meowth exclaimed in unison. "We're not too sure about the answer either..." Nate said. "But what we do know, is that this has something to do with how Ash had powers similar to those of an Aura Guardian..."

"WE'RE NOT BACKING DOWN!" Sawyer exclaimed. "SCEPTILE! LEAF BLADE!" He commanded. The four leaves on Sceptile's wrists glow light green and form into two. Sceptile then sprung towards Greninja (like its was attached to an actual spring).

'Use Night Slash!' Ash commanded telepathically. Ash and Greninja moved in perfect synchronization and spread their arms apart. Greninja's hands then became surrounded by a black and red aura with a purple outline. The auras then form into two sharp kunai shaped blades. Greninja then sprung towards Sceptile in the same fashion Sceptile just did.

Greninja and Sceptile then slashed each other with their attacks, blocking and dodging the others attack as best as they can, trying their best to get the upper hand.

"NOW DRAGON CLAW!" Sawyer commanded. A light-green aura forms around each of Sceptile's hands, causing its claws to grow longer and sharper (while also glowing green). Sceptile then charges at Greninja again, slashing Greninja with its claws.

Ash and Greninja flinched in pain together, but now knowing how to control their synchronization powers, they shake the pain off quickly. "Now use Ice Punch!" Ash commanded. Before Sceptile could land another hit on Greninja, Ash and Greninja slammed their fists together, causing Greninja's fists to become surrounded by a white and blue aura.

Greninja then punched Sceptile's Dragon Claw, freezing it. Sawyer and Ash gritted their teeth in unison. "LEAF STORM!" "AERIAL ACE!" The two commanded simultaneously.

Sceptile surrounds the stinger of its tail with leaves and fires it at Greninja. Greninja jumps up with a high burst of speed with a clear aura around it, it then charges forward with a high burst of speed with a clear aura around it. Greninja then dodges Sceptile's Leaf Storm and repeatedly hits it with its arms and legs.

"NOW FINISH IT OFF! WATER SHURIKEN!" Ash commanded. Ash and Greninja then reach for their backs and Greninja grabs the giant Shuriken on its back. It then jumps high in the air and with all its might, it throws the shuriken at Sceptile, not giving it time to dodge and creating a huge explosion.

"SCEPTILE!" Sawyer cried out in worry. When the dust settled, the winner of the Battle was clear, as Sceptile was lying on the ground, back at its normal form. "SCEPTILE IS UNABLE TO BATTLE!" Exclaimed the referee. "GRENINJA WINS! WHICH MEANS THE VICTORY, AND THE FINAL SLOT OF THE SEMI-FINAL ROUND GOES TO... ASH KETCHUM!"

Ash had advanced to the Semi-Final Round, and now the Battles will be full six-on-six. Because of that, the next 4 Chapters will be 2 parters (Chapter 48 is part 1 and Chapter 49 is part 2, Chapter 50 is part 1 and Chapter 51 is part 2). I'll try yo get the two parts out on the same day.
