Previously in Pokemon Chaos and Order...

"So now it's an even match..." Kevin murmured as he drew out another Pokeball. "Not for long... GARCHOMP! LET'S GET GOING!" He exclaimed before hurling his Pokeball forward, releasing his Garchomp. "Alright! Use Brave Bird!" Ash commanded. "Dragon Rush!" Kevin counter-commanded.

Talonflame then flew at Garchomp, surrounded by a blue, pixelated aura while Garchomp rushed over at Talonflame, its body surrounded by a blue and purple, dragon-shaped aura.

Talonflame's Brave Bird collided with Garchomp's Dragon Rush, creating a huge explosion in the middle of the battlefield. Despite Talonflame having the speed advantage due to its Gale Wings Ability, Garchomp was able to counter that with a pretty effective attack, moving at a decent enough speed.

When the dust cleared, Talonflame and Garchomp were flung backwards from the force of the collision of these two powerful moves. Talonflame took a bit more damage, due to Brave Bird's recoil, but it was still capable of battling.

"And despite the collision of these two powerful moves, neither Pokemon are backing down!" Said the announcer. "Alright Talonflame use Steel Wing!" Ash commanded without wasting a second. Talonflame's wings expand and glow a metal-gray color. Talonflame then charges at Garchomp.

"Use Sandstorm!" Kevin commanded. Garchomp the begins to glow several different colors and then stomps down onto the ground, causing sand to swirl out from under it in all directions, spreading across the entire battlefield.

Talonflame's ability might not be Keen Eyes but as a skilled hunter (biologically), its eyes are able to withstand the Sandstorm and keep charging forward. However, as soon as Talonflame was about to hit Garchomp, Garchomp's body turned into sand and completely disappeared into the Sandstorm, much to Talonflame's shock.

"What the?!" Ash cried out in shock, also finding it hard to see because of the Sandstorm. "Garchomp's Ability is Sand Veil!" Kevin explained. "It'll be really hard for you to hit it while a Sandstorm is raging!"

Ash gritted his teeth as Talonflame was hit by the Sandstorm, damaging it. 'Sandstorm will keep eating away at Talonflame's health...' Ash thought. 'And with that Sandstorm on it'll be too hard to hit Garchomp! It's just like...' Suddenly Ash remembered something. 'Just like the time I battled Clay!' He realised.

"Might not be the same case but I can always improvise!" Ash murmured. "TALONFLAME! FLY ABOVE THE SANDSTORM AND THEN SEND A BARRAGE OF RAZOR WIND!" Ash commanded. Talonflame did just that and flew high above the Sandstorm. Talonflame flew back and began to flap its wings, causing its wings to glow white. Talonflame then repeatedly slashes the air in front of it, causing a barrage of powerful crescent-shaped blades of wind to blast forward.

The blades of wind then hit the raging Sandstorm and blow it away, clearing the Battlefield. Kevin and the audience gasped. "And Ash once again doesn't fail to surprise us!" Said the announcer. "I had no idea you could clear a Sandstorm with Razor Wind!"

"That was a surprise..." Kevin murmured. "Use Iron Head!" Kevin commanded. Garchomp lowers its head and the star on forehead/snout turns into iron. Garchomp' head then becomes surrounded by a white aura (with black sparks), making it seem black and white. Garchomp then rushes over at Talonflame.

"You want a Steel-type move?" Ash asked sarcastically. "I'll show you a Steel-type move! Spinning Steel Wing!" Ash commanded. Talonflame then used Steel Wing and began to beak dive at Garchomp, before beginning to spin on its own axis.

Iron Head and Steel Wing collided, Talonflame eventually overpowering Garchomp and sending it hurling towards the ground. "NOW FINISH IT OFF WITH BRAVE BIRD!" Ash commanded.

Talonflame then flew high up into the sky with incredible speed. It then did a flip and began to nose (or in this case beak) dive back to the earth like a missile. The speed in which Talonflame was going was enough to create enough air-friction to envelop Talonflame in red-yellow flames.

Talonflame the presumably crashed to the ground, creating a cloud of smoke. But almost immediately from said cloud of smoke, Talonflame emerged, now flying at top speed towards Garchomp, surrounded by a pixelated aura of blue and white flames (which made its body appear black and blue).

Talonflame collided with Garchomp head-on, creating a huge explosion. Talonflame then flew out of the dust cloud and landed on a spot in Ash's side of the Battlefield, while Garchomp was lying on the ground, unconscious.

"Garchomp is unable to Battle!" Exclaimed the referee. "Talonflame wins!" "And Talonflame has tilted the scoreboard back to Ash's favor!" Said the announcer. Talonflame then flew over to Ash before landing on his forearm. "You were awesome Talonflame!" Ash said.

(Like this. I know it's still a Fletchinder but it still counts!)

"Garchomp return..." Kevin said as he returned Garchomp to its Pokeball. Kevin then looked over to his shoulder, looking at Maria, his Pikachu.

"Time to shine Maria..." he said. "LET'S GET GOING!" Kevin exclaimed before pointing his finger towards the opponent. Maria soon ran the length of Kevin's arm and jumped off, landing at the Battlefield.

"Let's go for broke Talonflame!" Ash exclaimed before Talonflame flew over back to the battlefield. "Use your smokin' hot Flame Charge!" He commanded. Talonflame's eyes began to lit up with fire before becoming surrounded by rings of fire. Talonflame's body then absorbs the rings and becomes outlined in red, orange and yellow flames. Talonflame then rushes at Maria, gaining speed by the second.

"Don't let it get close to you!" Kevin exclaimed. "Thunderbolt!" He commanded. Maria's cheeks crackle with yellow electricity. Maria then fires a large yellow and blue bolt of electricity, surrounded by purple rings at Talonflame, scoring a direct hit.

"TALONFLAME NO!" Ash cried out as Talonflame began to lose altitude before smashing into the ground, unconscious. "Talonflame is unable to battle!" Exclaimed the Referee. "Kevin's Pikachu wins!"

"Talonflame return..." Ash said as he returned Talonflame to its Pokeball. "You battled well, now take a good rest..." Ash then knelt over to Pikachu. "Ready to show them what you're made of Pikachu?" Ash asked enthusiastically. "PiKA!" Pikachu squeaked in response, giving Ash an excited arm pump.

"ALRIGHT! PIKACHU! I CHOOSE YOU!" Ash exclaimed while pointing over to the Battlefield. Pikachu then ran over to its spot on the Battlefield. "So I see we're going to have a Pikachu on Pikachu battle!" Said the announcer. "Now this outta be interesting..."

"Let's start things off Pikachu! Use Electro Ball!" Ash commanded. Pikachu's body becomes surrounded in yellow electricity and multiple blue sparks come off its body. All the electricity then condenses at Pikachu's tail and forms into an yellow-white orb of electricity with sparks of blue electricity coming off it. Pikachu then jumps in the air, does a side flip and hurls the ball of electricity at Maria.

Maria is then hit by the Electro Ball and sent flying backwards. "Alright let's counter that with Thunder!" Kevin commanded. Maria's cheeks began to crackle with electricity before swirls of black clouds began to hover over the Battlefield. Sounds of crackling thunder can be heard from the clouds, until a giant bolt of lightning begins to descend from the cloud at Ash's Pikachu.

"DODGE IT!" Ash exclaimed, Pikachu then jumped to the left, barely dodging the giant bolt of lightning. "Alright now use Iron Tail!" Ash commanded. "Brick Break!" Kevin counter-commanded. Pikachu's tail flashes blue, before transforming into silver metal.

Maria's tail becomes surrounded in yellow sparks. Pikachu and Maria then charge at each other, slamming their tails together, Pikachu slamming its tail from bellow and Maria's from above.

"Both Pikachu are now stuck in a 'reverse tug of war' with their tails!" Exclaimed the announcer. "Determining the outcome of this Battle is near impossible!"

Soon enough, both Pikachu were flung backwards, Ash's hitting the ground first. Both Pikachu however shook their injuries off and stood up. "Let's finish it off early buddy!" Ash said. "Use Volt Tackle!" He commanded. "Use Return!" Kevin counter-commanded.

Ash's Pikachu gathers electricity into its body then surrounds itself with a golden dome, causing its body to appear black and white as a jet engine starting up could be heard. Maria then begins to glow pink while being surrounded by magenta hearts and golden stars. It then charges at Pikachu at top speed, leaving behind a pink and gold energy behind.

"And both Pikachu charge at each other with UNBELIEVABLE SPEED!" Exclaimed the announcer. "Is this what it means to be 'lightning fast'?" Both Pikachu then collided with each other head-on, creating a huge explosion.

"PIKACHU!" "MARIA!" Ash and Kevin cried out together. When the dust settled, both Pikachu were lying on the ground, unconscious. "Both Pikachu are unable to battle!" Exclaimed the referee. "It's a draw!"

"This is the second draw of this battle!" Said the announcer. "Which leaves both Trainers with just one Pokemon left!" Ash and Kevin then walked over to the Battlefield, wrapped their arms around their Pikachu and laid them safely away from the battlefield.

Ash and Kevin then drew out their last Pokeballs. "It's all up to you now..." they both whispered. "INFERNAPE/GRENINJA! LET'S GET GOING/I CHOOSE YOU!" They both exclaimed simultaneously, releasing their most powerful Pokemon.

Greninja and Infernape glared at each other for a few moments, both recognizing the other's strength and realizing that this won't be an easy battle. "Let's not waste any time Greninja!" Ash exclaimed. "Exactly Infernape!" Kevin exclaimed too.

"LET’S DO THIS!" Ash and Kevin exclaimed before bringing their right arms upwards, with Greninja and Infernape doing the same with their left arms. They then become surrounded by golden swirls that resemble DNA. They then close their hands into fists, causing the swirls to synchronize and flatten into a narrow line.

Greninja became surrounded by a mystical veil of water while Infernape becomes surrounded by a veil of fire. Both veils then form two tornados of their respective element (Greninja is water and Infernape is fire), with Infernape's tornado originating from the flame on its head.

The water vortex surrounding Greninja blew up into a million water droplets. The water droplets then began to move until they formed four swirls of water on Greninja's back. The swirls form an orb and eventually a giant Water Shuriken. Greninja stands up, its appearance altered. Ash and Greninja then open their eyes together, which flashed red.

The fire vortex that surrounded Infernape then exploded, revealing that Infernape had changed.

"And here I thought we were the only ones who could do that..." Ash murmured. "Nope!" Kevin exclaimed. "But this only comes to a handful of people. The amount of recorded cases of this in history are so rare you can count them with your fingers..."

"Good to know!" Ash said. "But now isn't the time to chit-chat! Use Ice Punch!" He commanded. Both Ash and Greninja slammed their fists together, causing a white and light blue aura to appear around Greninja's fists. Greninja then rushed over to Infernape, pulling its fist backwards and ready to punch it.

"Fire Punch!" Kevin commanded. Kevin and Infernape pull back one of their fists, which Infernape's becomes surrounded by swirling energy which changes from red to light orange. Its fist then becomes surrounded in red-yellow flames. Infernape then charges over at Greninja, both of them ready to punch the other.

Infernape and Greninja punch the other in the jaw. Despite both attacks not being very effective, the raw power of them was enough to send them both flying backwards. "Whatever power Kevin and Ash were mumbling about is no joke!" Said the announcer. "You can almost feel the Pure Power that comes out if the two!"

"Use Shadow Claw!" Kevin commanded. Kevin and Infernape then spread its arms apart (kinda like Wolverine). Infernape's hands then become surrounded by black aura with a purple outline. The aura then takes the form of a claw. Infernape then quickly slashes Greninja.

"Let's retaliate with Night Slash!" Ash commanded. Greninja's hands then became surrounded by a black and red aura with a purple outline. The auras then form into two sharp kunai shaped blades. Greninja and Infernape then rapidly slashed each other, one with the claws and the other with the blades.

The two of them then jumped backwards before fly at each other with incredible speed, creating an explosion in the middle of the Battlefield. Greninja and Infernape then kept glaring at each other while panting uncontrollably.

Ash and Kevin were also panting like crazy. "We're... just... getting... started..." Ash said between deep breaths. "So... are... we..." Kevin replied. "AERIAL ACE!" "CLOSE COMBAT!" Ash and Kevin commanded together.

Greninja jumps up with a high burst of speed with a clear aura around it, it then charges forward with a high burst of speed with a clear aura around it. Infernape repeatedly attacks Greninja with a lightning fast barrage of open-handed strikes with both of its hands. Greninja was doing the same, with a clear aura emitting from its limbs.

Greninja and Infernape then fell backwards, panting uncontrollably and holding their knees. Ash and Kevin also fell to their knees, but the two were clutching their stomachs as if hit by a sudden wave of nausea.

"Incredible demonstration of will power from both sides, as neither are backing down despite the incredible injuries both the Pokemon and the Trainers apparently are suffering from..." said the announcer.

'I think it's just about time we finish this off!' Ash told his Greninja telepathically. "Agreed!" Greninja replied telepathically. "WATER SHURIKEN!" Ash commanded. Ash and Greninja then reach for their backs and Greninja grabs the giant Shuriken on its back. It then jumps high in the air and with all its might, it throws the shuriken at Infernape.

"THUNDER PUNCH!" Kevin commanded. Kevin and Infernape moved simultaneously and then Infernape's fist starts to crackle with yellow electricity, before growing into a yellow orb of electricity. Infernape punches the Shuriken, trying its best to stop it but to no avail, as the Shuriken grew bigger and slammed into Infernape, creating a gigantic explosion of water and electricity.

"INFERNAPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Kevin cried out in worry, flinching in pain. When the dust cleared, it was clear who the victor was. "Infernape is unable to battle!" Exclaimed the referee. "Greninja wins! Which means the victor and the Trainer who'll face Trip in the final round is... ASH KETCHUM!"

"YES!" Ash jumped in the air with excitement. Greninja then reverted back to its normal form as he and Ash hugged. "You were awesome Greninja!" Ash exclaimed while hugging Greninja.

"You were absolutely incredible..." Kevin said to Infernape as they hugged. "Return..." Kevin returned Infernape to its Pokeball. Kevin then walked over to Ash and brought his hand forward. "That was an amazing Battle..." he told Ash. "You were the toughest opponent I've ever battled..." Ash took Kevin's hand and shook it. "So were you..." Ash said. "It was a great battle..."

Later that night...

"Thank you for waiting..." Nurse Joy said, holding out a tray of five Pokeballs and Pikachu. "I'd like to inform you that your Pokemon are completely fighting fit, we hope to see you again..." "Thanks Nurse Joy..." Ash said as he exited the Pokemon Center, only to be met by his friends.

"That was awesome Ash!" Serena exclaimed. "Thanks! I still can't believe I've made it this far..." Ash replied. "I couldn't have gotten this far if it wasn't for all of your help..." he continued. "Because of all of your support, I know I'm going to beat Trip tomorrow!"

"And there's no reason you wouldn't!" Red said. "Your team is really well balanced, and really strong..." Ash then took out Greninja's Pokeball and took a moment to look at it. Ash then remwmbered his first battle with Trip, the year before...

"Snivy! Leaf Tornado!" Trip commanded. Snivy starts spinning its body around and flips around so it is spinning on its head with its tail straight up in the air. Then, a large tornado of wind with a circles of light-green energy spinning around it appears at the tip of Snivy's tail. The tornado sticks to Snivy's tail wherever it goes. It then swings on its side and catches Ash's Pikachu in the tornado.

As it catches the opponent, the light-green energy circles separate into light-green glowing leaves that spin around inside the tornado with Pikachu. The wind then starts glowing green and Snivy swings around, slamming the tornado into the ground.

"PIKACHU!" Ash cried out in worry for his partner. When the dust cleared, Pikachu was lying on the ground. Ash just had his first Pokemon battle... and he lost.

"As weird as it sounds, I'm not going to use this Team tomorrow..." Ash said. "WHAT?! WHY?!" Everybody asked. "My rivalry with Trip is much more personal..." Ash explained. "Not only he made Serena's life really bad for a while, but he's also someone who sees his Pokemon as nothing more than tools for battle. Which is why I'm going all out tomorrow, with power and with nostalgia..."

Ash then went over to the Pokemon Center's Videophone and dialed a number. Soon enough, two people appeared on the screen. One of them was a man in his 50s with gray hair and a lab coat. The other was a woman in her 20s or 30s with Mahogany hair and amber eyes.

"Ash!" The woman spoke in surprise. "What a pleasant surprise to see you..." the man said. "Mom! Prof. Oak!" Ash said. "It's great seeing you two again. Listen Professor, can you send me some of my old Pokemon?"

"Why of course Ash! Which ones?" Prof. Oak asked. Ash smirked. "I think you know..." Ash answered. Prof. Oak and Ash's mother seemed surprised. "Are you sure about that Ash?" His mother, Delia, asked concerned. "I'm sure..." Ash replied with a serious face. Prof. Oak then nodded before walking off the screen. "Showtime..." Ash murmured.
