Ash's POV

I wake up to the sound of my alarm clock.

6:30 a.m.

I groan as I slowly sit up and climb out of bed, open my curtains, and let the morning sunlight into my room.

"I can't believe that summer is already over..."
I ponder to myself as I rub the sleep out of my eyes. I grab a quick shower and some breakfast, and head off to school for another year. Arriving at the school gates, I see my girlfriend Misty waiting for me.

"Ash," she calls as she runs over to meet me. "Hey babe! How was your last week of summer?"

"Good, but not as good as it could have been because you were on vacation," I reply, locking her in a hug.

"Aww, you're too sweet, Ashy," she says, pulling away from the hug. She peeks over my shoulder. "Hey look, it's Dawn and Paul!"

Dawn and Misty squeal and run to each other.

"Hey Paul, how was your summer," I ask, extending my hand.

"Great. Dawn and I hung out a lot if you know what I mean," Paul replies, shaking my hand.

"Nice. Misty was mostly gone away with her family this year so we didn't hang out much."

"I hear ya." Paul turns to the direction of the girls and shouts. "Girls, we should head inside now before the bell rings!"

"HAIIII!"

With that said, the four of us walk into the school to begin our first day back.

-=MEANWHILE=-

"CLEMONT! GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE! WE HAVE TO GO!" Serena yells to her brother. "I ALWAYS KNEW YOU WERE SLOW BUT HOLY COW!"

"I'm coming Serena," Clemont says, running exasperatedly down the stairs.

"We don't want to be late. There's some toast waiting for you on the counter," Serena says as she grabs her light coat and heads for the door.

I'll finally get to see him again. It's been so long, though. I hope he recognizes me..

Serena heads off to the school with her brother Clemont following close behind.
