Sableye's shack was very shabby looking. A few paintings hung off the wall. The door creaked along with the wooden plank floor. Stacks of jewels were everywhere. Sableye could be called a bit of a hoarder. Pikachu looked around as Sableye brought a chair up to a table. They both sat down.

"You see, buying a house is a lot of money. How much to you have?" asked Sableye.

"Uh, only two-hundred dollars," said Pikachu.

"In that case, it's gonna cost you something else," said Sableye.

"Like what? Food?" asked Pikachu. Sableye twitched.

"There's an item I need. It's called the soul dew," said Sableye.

"Soul Dew? What's that?" Pikachu asked.

Sableye explained, "It's a very wonderful item. It is said to give the holder increased power, act as a power source, and even make you rich!" said Sableye. He twitched again.

"Sounds fair. I'll find this Soul Dew for you, and in return you give me a house!" said Pikachu. They shook hands and Pikachu walked out of the broken shack. He had no idea where to look. His first idea was to look at the request board and see if any of the locations stood out.

Pikachu studied the map. He pointed out a place called Fogbound Lake. It sounded like a good place to find a mystical item like the Soul Dew. Pikachu set off in search for this rare item. He searched all day through Fogbound Lake and several other locations with no luck at all. Pikachu had no idea what to do.

He went back to where he called home at Shiftry's house.

"Hey Shiftry," he sadly said.

"Why are you looking sad boy!" yelled Shiftry. Shiftry was one of those people who naturally had a very loud voice.

"Oh nothing. I just don't have any money to buy a house," said Pikachu.

Shiftry was surprised, "I thought you loved living here with me!" he bellowed.

Pikachu was embarrassed, "Uh? No! That's um. I'm going to bed now!" he awkwardly said. Pikachu rushed into his room and went to bed.

The next morning Pikachu rushed to work. He finished a few missions as he was told to and then set out to search a few more dungeons. No luck at all. He did the same routine the next day. No luck at all. This went on for a week or so until Pikachu decided to ask the townsfolk.

He got everyone's attention and spoke, "Does anybody know where I could find a Soul Dew?" he shouted. Everyone was quiet. They tried to ignore Pikachu. It was as if they didn't want to answer. Pikachu was a little suspicious, but he didn't notice really. He asked a few more people. They all just looked in the other direction and walked away quickly. Pikachu next went to the Society for answers. 

He stood up on a table and spoke, "Does any of you know where I could find a Soul Dew?"

Pikachu got the same reaction as before. Everyone was quiet.

Snivy burst through the doors in anger and scolded Pikachu, "Who told you about the Soul Dew. You must never speak of the Soul Dew ever!"

Pikachu knew what he was about to say was suicide but said it anyway, "Didn't you just speak it's name like two times in that sentence?"

Snivy grabbed him by the neck and started to strangle him. Azumarill dashed in and pulled Snivy away.

"I can tell you about the Soul Dew," said Azumarill. Pikachu stared at her rubbing his neck a bit.

She spoke, "A long time ago, two great Pokémon, Latias and Latios, founded the Investigation Society. The Society had no success in it's early days until Latias and Latios found the legendary Soul Dew. You may already know what it's effects are. The entire town of LitenBy is full of abundance because of it. The problem was the corrupt. Latias and Latios knew some evil bandit would want his hands on it, so they hid it away in the nearby Mt. Silver. The entire town must not speak of it. Most of the gangs these day don't even know what it is. I'm the only person with the password. It's guarded by a shield of fairy wind. It only responds to a certain message. Marill and I have been chosen to keep this message because we usually keep a low profile. Since we never actually go on missions, we're pretty safe from thieves who would want to threaten us for the password. The scary part is that there have been reports of a mole recently. Someone who has disguised himself as one of our friends might be trying to destroy us from the inside."

Pikachu ignored the last part. He just heard the part about how it was on Mt. Silver. Pikachu's first instinct was to go to Mt. Silver. So he did. He rushed out the door. All the people yelled at him, but he was gone.

"Should I go after him?" asked Snivy.

"I will!" said Azumarill. Everyone wished her good luck.

Pikachu was at the foot of Mt. Silver in no time. He began his climb. Azumarill ran behind. For her the mountain had just come into view. She had a lot of ground to make up. Pikachu climbed the mountain. A few small rock slides tried to threaten him, but he kept climbing. He was determined to get a house. He really didn't like living with Shiftry. Shiftry was way too loud all the time. He made him do dumb chores like mowing the lawn or washing the dishes. Pikachu now had a chance to break free from him. He would still visit, but to be honest, he was tired of Shiftry. Azumarill reached the foot of the mountain. She tried to shout for Pikachu, but it was no use. He was too far away. Azumarill had no choice but to climb. She began the tough climb ahead of her.

Pikachu reached a large ledge. A cave was there. A blue and pink glow came from the cave. The first thing to pop in his head was the words Soul Dew. He ran in the cave. Azumarill reached the cave. She shook her head.

"Pikachu your a big idiot you know," she said to herself. Azumarill dashed in after Pikachu.

Pikachu on the other hand, was already half way in. He reached a large canyon. Probably so nobody could reach the Soul Dew. Pikachu was determined though. He stepped back and got ready to jump. With a running start, Pikachu leaped over the large canyon. He safely landed on the other side. All the missions lately have been improving his athletic abilities. Azumarill was in behind. She reached the canyon. With a running start, she too reached the other side with no problem at all.

Pikachu reached a large circular room. In the middle was the Soul Dew. It was surrounded by an inch deep moat of water and a pink shield of some weird magic force. Pikachu reached for the orb of the Soul Dew. He was thrown back by the pink shield. He tried again. He got the same result.

Azumarill ran into the room of the Soul Dew. She saw Pikachu reaching for the Soul Dew.

"Pikachu!" she yelled. Pikachu looked over. He was thrown back by the shield.

"Hey Azumarill! Why are you here?" asked Pikachu. He was breathing heavy. The blast did a number on him.

"Didn't you hear what I said?" shouted Azumarill.

"Uh? Maybe? No." said Pikachu.

"You really are an idiot aren't you?" said Azumarill shook her head.  Pikachu made one last dash for the Soul Dew and was blown so far back that he passed out from the impact. Azumarill carried him out of the cave and down the mountain. It was night time when they arrived back at the Society building. She threw Pikachu on the table. He was still sound asleep.

"He was hurt pretty badly. That barrier is as strong as ever," said Azumarill. Shedinja and Torkoal laughed. Snivy tried to strangle the sleeping Pikachu, but Azumarill stopped her.

"He's had enough pain today," she said. Snivy backed away and muttured to herself.

The next day Pikachu woke up in his bed at Shiftry's house. He never got the Soul Dew. He ws still living with good ol' Shiftry. He sighed. Pikachu decided to negotiate another deal with Sableye. He walked on over to Sableye's shack to find police tape around the building. Several Magnemite police surrounded the place. The chief Magnezone turned around to see Pikachu. Pikachu was confused.

So that's the end of chapter 4 of twenty chapters. 1 fifth of the way through yay! Sorry that these are somewhat short. It's pretty difficult sometimes to fit enough content in each chapter.
