It was a very bright morning perfect to start a day
Ash moved to his other side of the bed
There they were the two pieces of his heart
His trusty pikachu sleeping curled up beside his pikachupi whose human name was otherwise Misty .
Normally at this time of the day Ash was so energetic and lively to kick start another adventurous day but today was different.
He wanted to just sleep.
This feeling was new to him .
Ever since he became the Pokemon master , he couldn't recall a single day being this dull. With that he and pikachu had permanently returned to Kanto for taking up his position.
He wouldn't say being a pokemon master in an official position was boring but it was different .
The fact that it had battling to the full had always made him happy but he also needed to attend some important meetings , functions etc held by the league frequently.
It happened once in a while so he didn't mind dressing up for these occasions but today he felt like ditching something for the first time

For Ash it was one un required get together , nothing useful to be gained
Pointless meet and greet.....
He sighed and dragged his feet to bathroom making sure not to be even .1% of disturbance to the other two.
He brushed his teeth but again came out and plopped down on the couch near the bed
Today was just not his day, to add to it Pikachu had refused to accompany him to the party. Reason was totally valid Pikachu had decided to stay back and take care of his baby pichu who was just 3 months old

And Misty denied because she wanted some rest and also if she stayed back she could help both baby marril and baby pichu along with their respective parents .
This way Ash was left alone to deal with the boring party. He closed his eyes for few seconds and snapped them open when he realised the task on hand .
He left a frustrated groan and got dressed up in his formal attire 

He arrived to the kitchen to find Misty already up.
She was preparing for breakfast.He entered with his head low and stood behind her .
He hugged his wife from behind and nuzzled in her neck
Misty let her head fall back to his support ; times like these made her crave for him more .

"Good morning" he whispered and turned her so she could face him
"Morning hub" , she smiled trying to make it light for both of them
So ??
So ??? She prompted him to complete his question but was met with a sudden hug.
"Ash , you alright ?"  She said putting her hands on his waist "Yeah I am. Just need some time with you"  he replied his heart sinking .
She understood this day was different for him too
She wanted to go with him but she felt sick and nauseated

This wasn't new for her too.
He would be back by evening she tried to assure herself  but truth being told even she didn't wanted him to leave today.

They stayed in the hug for god knows how many minutes
" Go wait .breakfast will be ready" she said breaking the hug and patting him on shoulder

He sat down and watch her do her chores ;within no time pikachu joined her
he was standing on the kitchen slab helping with the minor stuff and as soon as he finished he scampered towards Ash who petted pikachu while still lost The breakfast was unusually silent for him , it was just him and his pika pal as Misty went to take a bath

As soon as she came out he gave hera quick hug while she made him wear his formal jacket
Their eyes met as so did their lips.
"Take care Ash"  she whispered as the kiss ended .
Ash left for the station on his motor bike .It had been less than 15 minutes since Ash left and both were feeling empty.
Misty sighed sadly she always hated watching him leave even if it was for few hours.

Ash stopped to visit a church.
He was exiting the building when he thought to call Ritchie he who  became the Sinnoh champion just a year later after Ash.
But the call ended in disappointment as Ritchie refused to attend because he wanted to spend time with his fiancee and parents.

Never had he felt such null ness , such a void in his heart.
Then something just clicked into his heart.
Everyone had decided to ignore this party and step back for their loved ones from Pikachu to Ritchie.
He just didn't wanted to voice it to himself that he also has his heart left back in Pallet.
His mom took an off to spend a day with his dad so basically everybody took out some time to be with their beloved family and close friends.
Everyone had a professional life but loved ones ranked above them.

His mind blasted to the dejectedness he felt when he woke up
That's it   he decided
Misty would need me and if not I need her  beside me -  with this mental decision he reversed his bike towards Pallet.
I hope she is fine

He reached home and burst in through the doors where he saw Misty hugging pikachu and pichu lovingly in the hall .
She looked up confused to find Ash already squeezing poor pichu and her to death , pikachu being the active one already jumped down.
She didn't need to ask him anything given the look she saw in his eyes , but it made her cringe seeing that lone feels in his orbs.
He still answered her unasked question "I just wanted to be here , with you"  he said cupping his face

Suddenly she laughed and so did he.
All those pent up unnamed emotions released and finally a wave of joy washed through the Ketchum residents.

" Ash I need to tell you this , actually I am pre-pr-pregn-pregnant"   she completed at last after stuttering

Ash who was embraced around her was stunned beyond description
"You , us no mea ...." he couldn't complete as  pikachu and pichu were squealing with happiness just like that when she was hugging them on his return which set all his adjectives and sense incomplete and he just kissed her feeling ecstatic .
Both youngsters smiled as all the mixed feelings , dejected uneasiness and evey emotion just slipped away in front of this wonderful and soul enlightening news.

Misty rested her head on his heart remembering how she confirmed herself as expecting earlier that afternoon , she was thinking to give him a call but she didn't wanted to make him guilty of not being there at the time they both awaited the most so she shared it first with pikachu and felt good but right now she was happiest ....
She didn't give him a call willingly but her heart connected to his heart immediately
Love is truly a blessing 💜💜

A/N - I know it might have sucked big time but I just saw an Ash and Misty fan art and couldn't stop myself from writing this
That piece of creation was superb so I got my mind racing in imagination and this was the outcome 🙈🙈
