Have you ever gotten discouraged by reading a bit of what someone wrote, and was like, "Well I stink."

I mean, for me I read stories and try to copy some of what they're doing, but it always ends up 20X worse than it was for the person who wrote it.

I can't write things perfectly. I try writing things literally, while trying to hide certain things in my stories, but I can't make mine perfectly descriptive. I have to add a lot of conversations to my shit because I feel like sometimes words are better than overly long descriptions. I don't know.

Do people like overly long descriptions?

Or do they like simple conversations that might be worse?

Idk.

I'm just trying to make myself better at writing but failing.
