I swear Theory Videos on YouTube get so much controversy just because MatPat is the most popular.

So I was watching theory videos on security breach, after a fee months of not watching any, and I look in the comments of the theorist I come to find enjoyable.

Now he's no MatPat, but his theories do make a lot of sense and do sound probable. And I do like his theories as well. They seem more factual based than others.

Anyways, I come across comments that just outright say that he's wrong.

Now I'm no Einstein, but I don't remember steelwool or Scott come out and say MatPat's right or anything. In fact, I remember he was wrong at one point but that's not the point either way.

There's like tons of comments basically telling this guy that he's wrong, and there's no actual conformation from my understanding of this theory being proven right.

So what was the theory?

Well, MatPat's was that Micheal Afton is Glamrock Freddy. Which, this guys is the opposite of MatPat's: The Crying Child is Glamrock Freddy.

Of course this was uploaded several months ago and the guy is literally just pointing evidence at how this Glamrock Freddy could possibly be The Crying Child. He never said that he was, but you know how this doesn't agree with MatPat's theory on how GR Freddy could be Micheal and how Crying Child is Gregory. Yada yada.

Theories.

Yep. They're just theories and these people are like, "Micheal is Glamrock Freddy." And, "Mikeddy." It's just honestly ridiculous because some people can't even share their own theories on fnaf without it being scrutinized or "corrected" to what they believe.

Like I get that some of these people feel the need to share their information with theorists, but they make it sound like their theory or that MatPat's are the only ones worth anything. And it sucks because I feel like this guy's theory on it being the Crying Child is very valid and feels very much like it could be relevant still as this Glamrock Freddy does feel more childish and more innocent than Micheal Afton is.

Not to mention he mentioned how his "friends" are down there. I doubt Micheal would be calling a bunch of robots his friends, but anything's possible.

It just feels like people correct things that have every right to not be corrected. And it's kind of just insulting to look at people who are more like "MatPat's right and it's fact." Than, "hmm, that's an interesting prospect. I still believe MatPat might be right, but that's an interesting perspective."

I myself do not believe in MatPat's theory. But I also don't think this guy might be fully right either. I'm just saying that they both have valid points and that neither theories are right or wrong yet.

It could still be there's a part of Micheal Afton within Glamrock Freddy and a part of the Crying Child within Gregory. Although, I don't know if the Crying child has any remnant remaining however that works.

But the fact that most people are treating MatPat's theories like it's canon is more astonishing than anything. None of this has been confirmed yet, and there's still plenty of opportunity for Glamrock Freddy and Gregory to be anyone with Remnant inside them...or perhaps new victims as well.

But only Steelwool and Scott can make any of this canon. And so far the only few things that are canon are William is the killer and children are animatronics. Other than that most everything else is up to our perspectives.

So people treating a bunch of theories as canon is more of a misinformational trip than saying Chase and Skye are in love with each other. And even then that's a huge misguided notion.

I'm honestly disappointed with how some people just comment "corrections" without realizing how theories are just theories. And even if MatPat's are popular that doesn't mean his are right. Doesn't mean he deserves hate either. Just means these people need to get the facts right and that theories are just for fun.

And if they get confirmed that doesn't mean it's a "haha MatPat and I are right" moment. It's an "oh, nice. Happy the theory can now be confirmed as truth" moment. But I have a feeling if a theory gets confirmed people will either be pissed about it or be bragging about how they were right.

Idk. I just find it strange how some people have to ruin the fun of the theorists who aren't popular just because they want a specific theory to be true.

Tbh I do have a theory or two myself similar to the fnaf theory Mat has. It also involves the Puppet and Micheal as well. But it isn't you know what everyone wants it to be either.

I personally believe that in some way Gregory is Micheal  and that Glamrock Freddy is most likely the Puppet just due to how soft spoken Glamrock Freddy is and how innocent he truly is. I doubt that Micheal would be that innocent even in a Freddy suit. That's my personal opinion.

I also feel like the ghosts inside Freddy, Foxy, Chica, and Bonnie could also be who Glamrock Freddy is since they would probably think certain animatronics are their friends. Especially since they've tag teamed together to take down William Afton. But this is also just a theory to be taken with a grain of salt rather than treated as canon.

Honestly, I just needed to get this out since it feels like too many people are willing to believe theories that aren't confirmed canon yet.

Does anyone else feel like people take every MatPat theory as canon or truthful even when they're not? I know that a few of them are honestly just speculations based off of things like Disney's inability to correctly portray short term memory loss or the fact that Ryder from Paw Patrol is naive and nice to the villains.

But yeah. People do treat MatPat's theories like they're actually canon when in reality a good portion are just theories. In fact they're all just theories. Film, Food, ect theories. Lol.
