Ash's POV

"Bye guys!"
I said as I waved goodbye to my Alola friends.
"Bye!"
They said.
I noticed that Lillie wasn't there.
I got on to the plane and exhausted,went right to sleep. Once I woke up I found that we were about to land. Pikachu was looking out the window and once I joined him, I was shocked to see that it was both beautiful and hi-tech! It was amazing. Once we landed I was told to follow the girl with red and black hair to Prof.Evergreen's lab. She has pitch black eyes. Our clothes were very different. She has on a black tank top with a red sweatshirt around her waist just above her black bike shorts. Her hands were adorned with simple, black, fingerless gloves. She had long knee high socks on under her black combat boots. She had a long black metal stick strapped to her back under her backpack. I on the other hand, was wearing a red sweatshirt with a white pokeball pattern on it, some normal blue jeans, black fingerless gloves and red and white sneakers.
I walked beside her and noticed she had a Eevee is her arms that was sleeping on a Egg. She said nothing to me.
"Hi there!"
I greeted attempting to not make it awkward.
"What do you want?"
She savagely asked.
"Oh um well I didn't want to make it awkward."
I replied, embarrassed.
"Yeah well your not succeeding."
She said. 
"Ok um sorry....... So you going to Prof.Evergreen's lab?"
I apologized.
"Yeah you?"
"Yeah"
We walked in awkward silence for a few seconds until she asked;
"So where do you come from?"
"Oh I come from Pallet town, Kanto, you?"
She raised her eyebrow but said nothing about where I come from.
"Cream town, Canadian Wattpader."
She replied.
"Cool! Oh also my name's Ash Ketchum! And this is Pikachu! Wait, where is Canadian Wattpader?"
I told her.
"I'm Echo Cream and Wattpader is split into 3 parts Western Wattpader, Canadian Wattpader and Maryland Wattpader-."
She slapped her hand over her mouth.
"Wait..... Your last name is Cream, and you come from Cream town?"
I realized.
"My sister is the gym leader. Our family has run the Cream Town gym sense the Wattpader Pokemon League was founded "
She looked away.(A/N like Ran from BanG Dream)
We arrived at a modern looking building with 19 glass domes connecting to it. 18 of the domes had a habitat perfect for one type of Pokemon, whereas 1 dome had a habitat perfect for all types of pokemon. We walked into the lab to see a lot of scientists working on machines.
"Welcome Ash and Echo,"
A woman who came up to us in a white lab coat while riding on a hovercraft said.

"Hello Professor Evergreen"
Echo greeted, calmly.

"Uh hi!"
I smiled.

Prof.Evergreen chuckled then got this confused look on her face.

"What's wrong?"
Echo asked.

"There is supposed to be three of you."
The professor responded looking around.

The door opened.

"Sorry I'm late. Gramps was keeping me a little bit."

I turned around swiftly.

"Ashy boy?"

"Gary? What are you doing here?"

"Gramps asked me to see if I could study the difference between Bulbasaurs in Kanto and Bulbasaurs in Wattpader."

"Oh. That makes sense."

Echo was probably confused, however I couldn't tell due to her calm expression.

"Well, now that you 3 are finally here, I can hand out Pokemon. I'm guessing you'll take Bulbasaur Gary?"

Prof.Evergreen asked.

"You bet!"
Gary grabbed Bulbasaur's pokeball. He then said bye and that he needed to start his research.

"What about you Ash?"
The professor asked.

"I think Echo should go first. After all, she's a native to this region."

Echo looked away.

"Thank you. However, I don't see why you let me go first just because I am a native. But, I guess I will choose first. I choose Chimchar."

I smiled. After all, I had a Bulbasaur and a Infernape, but not a Mudkip or their evolutionary line. 

"Mudkip! I choose you!"
I exclaimed.

Pikachu let out a excited,
"Pika!"

I noticed that Echo's egg was shaking a little bit. She looked down and widened her eyes. Her Eevee jumped off it. Prof.Evergreen noticed this and used her remote thing that she had with her to summon a pillow that she put the egg on.

The egg cracked. And cracked. And cracked until it shattered and a Starly emerged from the shards of the egg.

It reminded me of when a legendary pokemon escapes whatever evil team it was captured by or when in a battle, when the fog and dirt clears to present a fainted pokemon. I don't know why, but it reminded me of rising from the ashes.

"Now remember my words, don't be scared to do anything. But at the same time, don't do anything stupid. Don't try to do something that you know you can't do, but instead think you can do it and if you can't, then learn how to do that thing."

Prof.Evergreen probably said more but I got lost in my thoughts. Why wasn't Lillie there to send me off?  I'm fully aware that it's silly that I'm thinking so hard about this, she probably had to be somewhere and is going to apologise to me soon over the phone. I realized that the professor stopped talking.

"Bye Professor."
Echo started walking out the door. I followed her. Once she got out, she stopped abruptly and looked off to the side without turning her head. From what I could see, she was smirking. 

"So, are you coming or not?"

I was shocked at this. She was inviting- no expecting me to travel with her. Although why I can't fathom. I was new and I don't know the place. And it doesn't matter that I have experience traveling and training
Pokemon-. Ok I now understand why she wants to travel with me. But how would she know that?

"So?"

"Oh, yeah. I'm coming."

I could have sworn she had a small smile.

"Hey Echo! It looks like you finally made a friend! I don't know how that happened!"

A voice from the trees called out. It jumped out from the trees and showed itself.

Echo defensively pulled her stick out in front on her. The voice was a girl with blond hair and blue eyes. The figure had tan skin and was wearing a pink t-shirt and a short lilac skirt. She had pink flats on and looked in no shape to be going on a Pokemon journey.

"Ooooo the sound has a stick."
She taunted.

"Back off Demi."
Echo warned.

"Ooo whatcha gonna do?"
The girl dubbed Demi rudely smirked and threw a rock at Echo which she blocked with her stick.

"Demi, you're not welcome here. Do us all a favor and run back to your unjust mother." Echo clearly wanted to attack this girl.

Demi rolled her eyes.
"Ok...... But don't forget you're a loser!"
She ran off into route 1.

Echo finally put her stick away, strapped to her back like how I met her.

"Who was that girl?"
I asked.

Echo sighed.

"Come on. Let's go."
She started for route 1.

"You still haven't answered my question you know."

She sighed again.

As we traveled opon route 1, (which was really a long path with nothing on it.) she looked at the path with determination.

"Echo?"
I tried to ask her once again who that girl was.

"Show me how to lie."

She responded.

"What?"

"You're getting better all the time and turning all against the one is an art that's hard to teach."

"Are you ok?"

"Another clever word sets off a  unsuspecting world and as you step back into line a mob jumps to their feet."

"What do you mean?"

She jumped on to one of the tree tops.

"Now dance! Won't you dance. Now I never had a chance. And no one really knew, it was really only you and now steal the way, take them out today. Nice work you did, you're gonna go far kid!"

I widened my eyes, recognizing this song as it was on the radio once.

"With a thousand lives and a good disguise, hit em' right between the eyes, hit em' right between the eyes. When they walk away nothing good to say, see the lightning in their eyes see them running, for their lives!"

She flipped out the tree and started running down Route 1

"Wait up!"
I ran after her into the distance.
