Backstory: Aurora never had a clear goal in what she wanted to do growing up, she had always been expected to do the best since she was one of Professor Magnolia's grandchildren. This stress resulted in her deciding to go on a journey immediately when she was able to. While travelling she found a love for gym battles and thought that gym leaders like Kabu were amazing. It made her want to become a gym leader and not follow in her grandmothers footsteps.

• Aurora's true rivals are Raihan and Gordie.

• As a challenger Aurora looked up to Kabu a lot, when she became a gym leader she was determined to get his recognition and to beat him in a battle.

• Aurora spent most of her time with the friendly Pokemon in the wild outside of the house she lived in. She has never been good with socialising but when she starter her gym challenge she quickly made friends and her confidence skyrocketed.

• While she was on her journey Aurora stumbled upon a man who needed help carrying fossils. She helped him and as a reward he gave her a once in a life time opportunity to see a fossil get revived. She happily watched and instead of the fossil liking the man it immediately went towards Aurora resulting in her making friends with the fossil Pokemon who didn't want to leave her side.

• Aurora felt like she was always in Sonia's shadow so she tried to do the opposite of what the girl used to do resulting in her being a tomboy as a teen/adult.

• Aurora at first wanted to get all different ranges of Pokemon types but whenever she went she was always attracted to the electric types. She finally gave in after she felt like this was her calling.

• Aurora was meant to get one of the three starters since she hadn't found her own Pokemon like Sonia had with Yamper. A few days before she was meant to pick she had followed Sonia's Yamper into the Slumbering Wealds after it was acting funny. She was then was surrounded by a group of Pokemon, before she got hurt a Pokemon saved her which was Shinx. Shinx had gotten hurt while protecting Aurora so she took him back to her grandmother, after that day Shinx had never left Aurora's side.
