GIDEON WU HAD ALWAYS known who she was. Verity Wu's baby sister, the smartest girl of her graduating class, the aspiring photographer who was taking the world by storm and chasing her dreams in Seattle. She had so much to look forward to, and yet she feared so much.

Gideon would be lying if she said she wasn't shocked when Edward Cullen and Bella Swan reached out to her just a few months after graduation -- even more so when she discovered they were getting married, and no it wasn't because Bella was pregnant (well, not yet anyways.) Openly, Gideon was honoured that they thought to ask her to capture their special day. She'd said maybe a total of five words to Edward in the years they attended Forks High together, and not much more to Bella. Still, she agreed, only to freak the fuck out the second she hung up the phone.

Oh, she was making a huge mistake! What if her camera died and she somehow forgot her five extra battery packs she always bought with her in case of emergencies? What if all the photos turned out blurry? Or even worse, Edward and Bella just hated them? They'd leave her a bad review, and Gideon would never find work in Seattle or anywhere in America, and she'd have to move in with Verity and Verity's latest girlfriend, or worse -- she'd have to stay in Forks with their Năinai who owned more cats than she did dinner plates, and then Gideon herself would have to adopt a cat and she'd be sad forever! And alone!

It was safe to say Gideon Wu was an overthinker. She knew who she was no doubt, but boy did it come with a cost. Never did anything make her overthink more than the day of the wedding, when it wasn't just the pretty but fiery Clearwater girl she drunkenly flirted with or Gideon's failure at everything that made her lose her mind. No, it was the giant wolves she accidentally photographed, and the boys (and girl; did she mention Leah Clearwater?) they were just moments before. . .

Author's Note!

Okay, before we get into this, I just wanted to clarify Leah and Gideon's ages in case it gets confusing. So according to the wiki, Leah was born in 1986 and Bella in 1987. This would mean that, when Breaking Dawn goes down, Leah is 19 going on 20 and Bella's nearly 19. Now Gideon is the same age as Bella. This makes her 18 going on 19 during the events of Breaking Dawn, so there's a one-two year gap between her and Leah.

Now that that's out of the way, welcome to Poltergeists! I'm so, so excited to introduce the final baby of my Twilight series. Gideon's my soft overthinking baby who finds her confidence in Leah, they're badass girlfriends and I adore them already. For reference, you can find Maggie, Mae, Jia and Sadie's stories published on my profile. Maggie is with Paul, Mae is with Embry, Jia is with Quil and Seth is with Sadie. This book and theirs all contain spoilers for each other, though, so be warned. Also, for reference, a lot of the pack has been aged up to match my oc's ages -- Maggie and Mae are both 17 (1988) Jia is 18 (1987) and Sadie is 15 (1990.) Just in case you notice that some of the wolves don't match their ages on wiki. Leah is pretty much the only one I don't change.
