Poolkit felt a hard thump onto her tail as she tried to sneak out of the nursery.
"Poolkit..."

Poolkit's ears twitched. She was so close! She sighed and turned around, grinning innocently. "Yeah mom?" Raindapple looked down at her daughter. "Where are you going..?"
"Outside of the nursery..?"

Raindapple's sat down gently. "Were you going out without my permission..?"
Poolkit glanced sideways. "Noooooo.... Maybeee.."

Featherkit stood up from their mossbed, looking offended. "Were you gonna explore the camp without me?"

Poolkit shook her head, shocked her sister think she would do that. "What? No! I would never!" She was actually going to take a peak outside, wait there until Raindapple was asleep, and then fetch Featherkit.

Swiftfur looked over at Raindapple from her moss bed. "Your lucky for your sharp eyes, Raindapple. Bravekit nearly left my sight!"
Poolkit grinned as she whispered into Featherkit's ear. "That's because she's too old for a queen," Featherkit holded a gasp. What was that look for? She was pretty sure there was no code in the warrior code that said you cannot insult queens.

Swiftfur's eyes went into slits as she looked at Poolkit. "What was that?"
Poolkit lowered her ears, nervously. "Nothing!"

Raindapple sighed. "Alright.. but let me at least wash you first."

"Mommmmm!" Poolkit complained as Raindapple licked tongue over her soft fur. Featherkit grinned from the back of Raindapple.

Poolkit shuddered in disgust as Raindapple had finished. "I just want you to look perfect when you meet the Clan."

When Raindapple had finished with Featherkit, she looked up at her mother, getting impatient. "Can we gooo now? Pleassse?" Raindapple sighed. "Alright. But stay close to each other! And don't try sneaking out of the nursery without my permission again!"

Featherkit laughed as she followed Poolkit out of the nursery. "Haha! You got in trouble with Mom!"
Poolkit groaned. "Shut up."
Featherkit gasped. "You said a bad word!"
Poolkit shook her head. "It is not! I hear Swiftfur say it all the time!"

Poolkit then looked around. The camp was huge! The sky was clear blue! She looked forward and saw a huge rock with slabs out for a cat to climb on it. "That must be where Silverstar makes Clan meetings!"

She turned her head around and saw a similar rock from the Highrock. It had no slabs and it looked like you could easily walk on it, and when you reached the top, there was an entrance in the den.

Featherkit looked at it in awe. "Whoa! What if it's a den?"
Poolkit grinned, "Let's go find out!"

She then felt a trod on her tail and heard a voice from behind her, "I wouldn't advice that, if I were you, young one." She turned around to her and saw Darkcloud. His amber eyes staring into Poolkit and Featherkit, "That is the warrior den, if you did not know."

Poolkit glanced back at it and saw Ashfall coming out of the warrior den and yawning. "Oh."

Darkcloud sniffed. "What are you kits doing out?"
Featherkit looked at them, smiling. "Oh, we're exploring camp for the first time!"

Darkcloud let out a small purr. "Well, if you kits really want to see an amazing sight to see, follow me."
Poolkit grinned. "Yes! Finally!"
Featherkit nodded and followed after.

As Poolkit and Featherkit followed Darkcloud, she looked around at her surroundings. She noticed a gorse tunnel with an entrance to it. It must have be the entrance to camp.

Darkcloud lead Poolkit and Featherkit a pawsteps into clearing and they were in front of a hole at the wall. What?
Featherkit's ears twitched. "Why is there a hole inside?"
Darkcloud purred, "It's not a hole. Follow me," He then trodded forward inside.
Realization hit Poolkit. Is it a den? It must be important if it's inside a hole.

Featherkit's whiskers twitched, Poolkit nudged Featherkit with her head comfortably. "We'll do it together, now come on!"
Poolkit trodded inside of the den, Featherkit followed after.
"Whoa..." Poolkit and Featherkit said aloud at the sight.

There was no dirt around as they had expected. Inside was stone walls, flooring and two stone shelves at the side of the entrance. There was a turn on the left and Poolkit turned her head left. On the right side of it were moss beds lined side by side together.

A dappled golden she-cat stretched from one of the moss beds. She had white legs, which faded into gold when they met her thigh and she had some white on the tip of her tail and peach-colored inner ears. Her ears were also dark red.

"Good day, Darkcloud. Do you need something?" The she-cat meowed. Darkcloud shook his head, "No, not really, Flowertail. Where is Owlpaw?"
Flowertail glanced at the entrance. "She went out gathering herbs. She's a very hardworking apprentice, I don't know what I would do without her."

Darkcloud purred. "Speaking of apprentices," he swished his tail right to reveal Poolkit and Featherkit. "We have two on their way to become ones."
Featherkit shyly waved her paw.

Flowertail's face lit up happily. "Kits!" She went forward and licked Poolkit's cheek. It was a thing Raindapple would do to clean fur and she would immediantly back away in disgust. But when it came from this cat, it was kind.. and gentle.

"It's their first time out of the nursery," Darkcloud explained.

Featherkit's ears flicked curiously. "Who is Owlpaw?"
Flowertail purred, "Oh, she's my apprentice."
"Medicine cat apprentice," Darkcloud meowed.
"Oh..." Featherkit's tail dropped.

Poolkit sighed. Poor Featherkit... Before they came out of the nursery, Featherkit always talked about being a medicine cat. Now those dreams were shattered..

Flowertail looked at the two kits, sat down and curled her tail in front of her paws. "Tell me about you two."
Poolkit purred, puffing out her chest. "I'm Poolkit and this is my sister, Featherkit! Our mother is Raindapple and our father is Whiteclaw and," She briefly unsheathed her claws then put them back in. "We're gonna be fierce warriors of IceClan!"

Flowertail purred. "Welcome to the Clan, young ones."
"If you haven't gotten into trouble yet, you will soon. Kits always seem to get in trouble," Darkcloud murmured.
"Now Darkcloud, that isn't fair," Flowertail's voice was calm but her tail thrashed left and right.
Poolkit looked up at the older cats. Well, one of them. Raindapple told her that Darkcloud became a warrior two days ago. "Has Bravekit gotten into trouble?" It was hardly an situation, as Bravekit was really sweet and kind.

Darkcloud laughed. "Ha! Far from it. Though, if they ever become Bravepaw, I would like them as my apprentice."
Flowertail's eyes were looking back outside of the medicine cat den. "Speaking of apprentices, Bladepaw should be ready for their warrior assessment."
Darkcloud shrugged. "Tell that to Briarpool."

Poolkit smiled, she liked talking to Flowertail.. she was nice. She glanced at the entrance of the medicine cat den and noticed the sky wasn't light blue anymore and started having orange streaks.
Flowertail looked at them, "You should get them back to their mother, it's getting late."
Featherkit nodded and stretched, yawning. "Can we visit again?"
Flowertail purred, "Anytime,"

Poolkit liked that. She would definitely visit Flowertail everyday! "Race you to the nursery!" She called as she ran out of the medicine cat den.

Poolkit and Featherkit hurried back to the nursery and Poolkit crawled inside. Raindapple purred to greet them. "How was the world, little ones?"
Poolkit smiled and went forward and layed next to her mother.
"Amazing, we saw everything.."
Raindapple purred, swishing her tail over Poolkit. "I'm glad.."

As her vision faded into dreams, she heard her mother's voice continue.
"Soon, you'll be strong enough to see more than everything.."
