Chapter 37: Top

The score of their preliminary test came out early. As they expected, Kim Taehyung was in the top 1 with 98% and they didn't expect Jungkook with 97.8% which was very close to Taehyung.

"As I know it, you're the first one. But I didn't know that Jungkook was a genius one." Arson uttered beside Taehyung while they were looking through the billboard.

"I didn't know he was smart, just a little bit he can reach me." Taehyung grinned.

"Are you afraid that he can top you?" Arson inquired teasingly.

"Of course not, he already did that last night." Taehyung smirked.

"Wait, what?" Arson replied confusedly.

"Anyways, where is he? I didn't see him after lunch." Taehyung muttered.

"I don't know, he was just simply gone like an invisible man." Arson retorted shrugging off his shoulders.

"I was about to say something to him." Taehyung mumbled.

"Why don't you text him instead?" Arson asked munching his snacks.

"Too lazy to do that." Taehyung soughed.

"By the way, where are you going to spend your vacation during sem break? The council member gave us 2 weeks to have a break since graduation is coming. They said it would be better if we rest our brain." Arson asked and they started to walk with Taehyung.

"I don't know, I might be staying at home and doing nothing." Taehyung replied.

"You're so boring, why don't you enjoy at least a day?" Arson muttered rolling his eyes.

"What do you mean by that? I enjoy laying down on my bed." Taehyung giggled.

"Aish, same answer as always." Arson soughed.

"Let's just go to our next class it was about to start." Taehyung said and they got inside their classroom.

They already spotted Jungkook who looks like studying.

"Jungkook, hello!" Arson started sitting beside him.

"Hi" Jungkook smiled in response.

"Do you hear about the sem break? What are you going to do in 2 weeks?" Arson asked curiously.

"I might be going to the Islamorada since my stepdad already bought a hotel room for me to stay there for a while." Jungkook replied.

"Seriously? I want to go there, can I hang out with you?" Arson uttered excitedly.

"Arson, what are you talking about? Shut your mouth." Taehyung joined shaking his head in frustration.

"Taehyung, I heard beaches were popular there. If you want we can hang out together if Jungkook agrees. So what's your decision, can we?" Arson asked.

"Yeah sure, I guess that will be fun." Jungkook smiled.

"Yes! Thank you!" Arson giggled clapping his hand.

Taehyung sighed in defeat and their professor came inside.

When their class ended, Arson and Taehyung separated their ways. Taehyung saw Jungkook in front of the gate with his car.

"Jungkook!" Taehyung called out and ran towards Jungkook.

"Yes?" Jungkook responded looking at him.

"I'm sorry for Arson, he's always like that when he badly wants to go somewhere." Taehyung uttered.

"No, it's okay, I don't mind it. But are you going with us?" Jungkook replied inquiring.

"I should ask permission from my parents before I can go. But I want to." Taehyung retorted

"Just tell me if they agree so I can pick you up." Jungkook said.

"Okay." Taehyung replied.

"Are you going home? Do you want to ride with me?" Jungkook asked.

"Is that fine? I might bother you." Taehyung asked rubbing the back of his neck.

"Of course, it's alright, it's not your first time tho." Jungkook grinned.

"Okay, fine. Thank you." Taehyung smiled.

Jungkook giggled and opened the door car beside the driver's seat. Taehyung got inside the car and Jungkook followed after him.

"Are you going to do something?" Jungkook asked while driving.

"I don't know, I guess just review?" Taehyung replied unsurely.

"You're already genius, don't you know something to make yourself busy?" Jungkook asked.

"Too lazy" Taehyung pouted

"By the way, congratulation, you're top 1. Are you going to celebrate it after graduation?" Jungkook uttered.

"Of course, how about you?" Taehyung asked.

"I'm not sure about that, I will go back to Seoul after graduation." Jungkook replied.

"Why tho? I mean, it's better for you if you live here than going back to Seoul." Taehyung retorted.

"I still have to do something in Seoul, that doctor, and the nurses who tortured me didn't pay for what they did to me." Jungkook stated.

"So you're going back to just get the revenge?" Taehyung asked.

"Yes, and my stepdad will step down being a CEO and I will be the heir. I can't just simply waste my dad's hard work for that company." Jungkook explained.

"Are you sure about that?" Taehyung asked.

Jungkook glanced at him and smiled.

"Why are you asking? Of course, I am sure. Are you going to miss me if I leave?" Jungkook inquired teasingly.

"Of course not, there's no way I will miss you. I will miss more Arson than you." Taehyung immediately reacted.

"I'm just teasing you, why are you being so defensive?" Jungkook chuckled.

"It's because you're speaking nonsense. Just drive me to my home, you're so slow." Taehyung muttered and stared at the window instead of Jungkook while crossing his arms.

"Okay, if that's what you say." Jungkook giggled.

Later that, they arrived in front of Taehyung's parents' house. Jungkook come out first and opened the door car for Taehyung. He even held Taehyung to assist him in going out of the car.

"So, see you tomorrow, I hope they will agree to our hang out for tomorrow." Jungkook uttered facing Taehyung.

"I hope so, but still text me when will we leave so I can prepare." Taehyung smiled.

"Sure thing, good night, sleep well." Jungkook smiled back and ruffled Taehyung's hair.

"Good night too, be careful on your way." Taehyung uttered.

"Okay, bye!" Jungkook responded closing the door where Taehyung went out and went to the driver's seat.

He was about to get inside but Taehyung held his wrist.

"What?" Jungkook asked confusedly.

"Thank you." Taehyung muttered

He pecked Jungkook's cheeks and ran inside the house leaving Jungkook who was flustered and frozen.
