Shiganshina District
Daisuke (POV)
My best friend Eren, my other best friend Mikasa, my sister Hikaru, and myself were in the fields a little outside the wall gathering firewood for our homes. Well we were until Eren decided to take a nap underneath a tree. So here we are standing over a snoring Eren.
Hikaru- Does he always snore this loud?
Mikasa- Unfortunately yes.
Daisuke- Jesus Eren. So should we wake him up?
Hikaru- Please do. His snoring is becoming unbearable.
I lean next to him and go to shake him awake but he suddenly wakes up in a startled manner.
Daisuke- Waa!!
I ended up falling in my butt.
Daisuke- Jesus Christ Eren! Don't do that! You almost gave me a freakin heart attack!
Indigo: Oh before I forget, this is child Daisuke, Hikaru, Mikasa, and Eren.

Eren- Daisuke, Hikaru, Mikasa.......hey.
Mikasa- We should get back.
Eren- Um where are we exactly?
Hikaru- Seriously?
I simply sigh and do a facepalm.
Mikasa- Try asking me again when you're truly awake.
Eren- I'm up it's just......I don't know.......it's like the dream I was having went on forever. It's gone now. What was it about?
Daisuke- I don't know dude. If I had the power to see inside people's heads, I'd tell ya.
We leave Eren be and go to pick up our firewood. When we turn back to Eren, we notice fresh tear lines down his face and tears in his eyes.
Mikasa- Eren, have you been crying?
We exit the field and head onto the crowded dirt road leading to one of the gates of the city.
Eren- Do me a favor will ya? Don't tell anyone that I was crying.
Daisuke- Hahaha!
Eren- Shut Daisuke!
Daisuke- Uh huh.
Hikaru- Whatever.
Mikasa- Yeah yeah yeah. Still though, you don't even remember why? You might want to have your dad look into that.
Eren- (sarcastic) Righf because tearing up is a medical thing.
???- Somebody messing with ya?
It was Hanes, one of the city's gate watchers.

Eren- Hey Mr. Hanes.
Hanes- Or did you just get on Mikasa and Hikaru's bad side?
Eren- No! What are you even talking about?! Ugh. You smell like a tavern.
Daisuke- That's because he and the rest of his men are drunk.
Hikaru- Figures.
Eren- Of course.
Hanes- You kids care for a swig?
Eren- Aren't you on watch?
Hanes- Yep. Watching the old gate we are. Thirsty work playing sentry. Pe knuckle only goes so far to chase off the boredom. A little nip now and then keeps us all in our courage for a spell. Perks of being a guard eh.
Daisuke- Okay, are we still talking about beer and not man tits? You did say nip after all.

Indigo: (sigh) And so it begins
Hanes- Why you! You better watch your mouth you little twerp!
Daisuke- (sarcastic) Oh I'm sorry. Did I hurt the poor guardsmen's feelings? Pssh, and you call yourself the leader of a garrison. More like a bunch of freeloaders if you ask me. Here you are playing some stupid game and getting wasted. What would you do if they managed to get through huh? You'd do nothing because you'd be too drunk to even lift a finger. You better hope nothing like that ever happens because if it does, all the deaths will be on your head.
We push past them and walk further into the city in silence.

We continue to walk in silence until Mikasa breaks it.
Mikasa- Daisuke, Eren, you should let the Scout Regime thing go?
Daisuke- Is that so?
Eren- Seriously? Why does everyone think they're a joke?
Hikaru- What people think about them isn't really the issue here.
Before either of them can continue, the church bells begin to ring out across the city.
Eren- Perfect timing. They're back!
Daisuke- The Scouts.
Eren- We can make it if we hurry! Let's get a move on! I want a good view!
We take off towards the main gate. We got there and managed to get a good clear view of the Scouts. Or should I say, what's left of them. Broken, bloodied, mutilated bodies is all I could see. Both living and the dead. There was more dead than there were living. A horrible sight indeed. What's worse is that a poor old woman came out from the crowd to look for her son Moses who was in that Scout troop. All she got was an "I'm sorry" and the severed chewed up arm of her son. One of the Captains then went to yell out about how useless they were. About how the mission was a total massacre. About how he sent so many men to their deaths.
Some jerks in front of us started talking shit about them so Eren cracked one of them upside the head with a stick.
Daisuke- Ok time to run.
Mikasa grabs Eren and we all book it around a corner and keep running until we were safe on an empty courtyard. Once we made sure we were in the clear, Mikasa threw Eren into a brick wall.
Eren- Oh great. Perfect, just perfect. Firewood everywhere.
Daisuke- You did kinda had that coming bro.
Mikasa and Hikaru gave a me one of their death glares.
Daisuke- Hey wait a minute. What did I do?
Mikasa- So, are you two still bound a d determined to become one of them? The Scouts?
Hikaru- All you will become is fodder if you join them.
Daisuke-........
Eren-........Just.....help me pick these up.
We help hi pick up his firewood and we continue on home.
Indigo: That is it for the first chapter of this story. Had to write it twice because Wattpad didn't save it the first time. That was a pain in the ass. Anyway, hopefully you guys enjoyed it and I'll see y'all in the next one. Later indigo fam. Peace.
