Jean (POV)
I bust through a window at HQ after dodging hordes of Titans. Others bust in seconds later.
Jean *mind*- How many.....how many of us made it? How many bodies did I crawl over? How many of our comrades died on my orders?
Something moves out of the corner of my eye. I turn only to see two soldiers hiding under the desk.

Jean- Hold on a sec. You guys with the supply team?
Male soldier- Yeah.
I yank him out from underneath his hiding place and deliver a right hook to his face. He falls to the ground and Marco has to hold me back.
Marco- Jean stop!
Jean- You cowards! You left us out there on our own! People are dead cause you didn't have the guts to do your job!
Female soldier- (crying) The Titans were coming at us from every angle! They overran the supply room okay?!
Jean- It's your job to deal with it and back us up anyway!
Reiner- Hit the deck!
A titan face comes crashing in.
Jean- Son of a-....There's too many people. They can smell us. All of the surviving soldiers plus the supply team break out in panic and run for it. I just stand here as my body won't move out of fear of what I see before me.

Jean *mind*- This is it. This is reality. Of course it is. How deluded was I? No. No, on some level, I knew it all along. I mean when you stop and think for a second, it's obvious. There's no winning. Not against them.
I stare on until I gasp out of shock as a white foot collides with the face on the left.
Jean- What?!
Those titans go flying and in there place is a pale white and black titan with black hair and another titan with long shoulder length hair.
Jean- Wha.....What the?........My god.
More glass shatter as I see Mikasa, Hikaru, Connie, and Armin zip in.
Jean- Mikasa! Hikaru! You're-......
Connie- Wow. Close one. I was running on fumes. We made it here though. Crazy but we did!
Jean- You....I.....Am I dreaming this or what?
Connie- You're a certified genius Armin! From now on, far as I'm concerned, your word is law. Check it out Jean. We found two abnormals that's got bones to pick with it's own kind. And the best part?! They couldn't care less about us! That's right! You heard me! These big beautiful SOB's are our ticket out of here!
Jean- Listen to yourself. A titan is not gonna help us. You're out of your mind if you think it can work.
Mikasa- It is working. For whatever reason, they're rampaging against them. Stand back and let them do it. Trust me. You'll see.
I was as the fifteen meter rocks one titan with a left and lays it down for the count. The eighteen meter titan knees one titan in the stomach and then judo throws it into buildings.
Hikaru- See? But either way, what choice do we have? Right now those titans are our best shot at survival.
The fifteen meter titan grabs a titan into an arm lock and sends it careening into the ground causing it to crush several of the smaller titans in the process. The eighteen meter titan double legs the titan he's fighting and starts to swing it by it's legs. It smacks every titan within his range. The eighteen meter titan stops swinging his opponent and ends things by breaking the titan's back with a audible crack. It lets out a victory roar and heads for its next victim.
Connie- Wow, look at them go. They make the others look like total weaklings.
We regroup with the others that fled further in.
Annie (POV)
I'm sitting with Reiner and Bertholdt when Connie comes to join us and breaks the news.
Connie- They're not going to break this building. Not with them rampaging out there.
Reiner- That's all well and good. But what's to keep them from turning on us once they're done?
Connie- Guess we'll worry about that when we're safe.
Reiner- Yeah you're right. At least they're buying us a little time.
I close my eyes so they know not to bother me.
Annie *mind*- I don't understand this. Why can't I get him off of my mind? He's dead. Move on. But why can't I? Why am I upset that he's gone now? Is it grief? How ironic. I'm not supposed to feel anything about anymore. Only watching out for me. Yet here I am trying to decide which pain is worse. The initial shock of what happened. Or the ache of the reality of what will never be.........Damn it Daisuke.
