Maddie's P.O.V.

"Be careful in there," Celeste said as she unlocked the cell door. "That woman is dangerous."

"She's only my mother," I told her. "I think some time in jail has helped her regain her common sense."

I entered the jail cell my mother is in, and sat down across from her.

"Mackenzie!" she exclaimed as she saw me. She got out of her seat and hugged me. I shrugged her off and looked her in the eye.

"Hello, mother," I said sternly, giving her the cold shoulder, like a proper interrogator if I do say so myself.

"Mackenzie? What's wrong? You're usually so happy to see me."

"Not after you tried to kill me."

"Kill you? What are you talking about?! I never tried to kill you!"

"Yeah, yeah... whatever. The point is: You tried to kill me, stabbed Sailor Neol, and got arrested."

"What?"

"YOU ARE IN A JAIL RIGHT NOW, WOMAN!!! YOU COMMITTED A CRIME AND ARE NOW GETTING YOUR PUNISHMENT!!!" I'm losing my temper?! I need to calm down, stay collected, keep cool...

"Mackenzie? Is everything all right?"

"...no. You are a criminal, mother. You are behind bars... and father doesn't know anything about this! You hurt me, mother! You hurt me!!!" I felt myself cry a little, and I heard an alarm. Time's up, I guess...

As I leave the jail cell, I turn back one last time.

"I will be back," I informed her, glaring at the monster that was my mother. I can't believe she pretended she had no recollection of the events of two weeks ago...

She is so cold-hearted...
