The Willow girl and I found her white-haired friend.

"I think Carona's in trouble," he told us.

"WHAT?! WHAT DID YOU DO?!?!"

"I did nothing. She saw this ad and took off running down the street."

I looked closely at the ad and felt a pit inside me... and a pang of guilt...

"I should've never left her alone!" I then ran in the direction of the fortune telling location.

Carona's P.O.V.

I don't even know what I'm saying or what I'm doing anymore! I'm just saying a bunch of depressing thoughts in my head and losing all hope of life!

Suddenly, the fortune teller stood up and it all disappeared. The room, the table, the chairs... everything.

Dark... things... lashed out at me from everywhere and I felt this stinging pain around my heart.

One of the dark things wrapped around my neck and I struggled to keep breathing.

"Soul Splicer..." WHAT?! "Find the core that is to be ours and cut through her heart!"

I saw the dagger head straight for me. It slashed me across the chest and that hurt more than the dark things.

But I didn't scream...

Normally, people in this situation scream and call for help.

But I was strangely calm...

I then saw light shine from where the cut was made.
