"That jewel. The one you wear around your neck. It once belonged to the princess herself. The princess must have entrusted it to you in order for you to have it. That's the only way it can belong to anyone: If it's past holder entrusts it to another."

No wonder I can't take it off...

"I'm happy that you know about your past, really, I do. But I don't seem to remember my existence in the past... I am deeply sorry, Child of Mercury."

"Please call me Chiyon. One who is bound to Estelle I must be bound to. So I am at your disposal, My Lady."

"It's very sweet of you to say, but no one is at my disposal. One should value the life he has, Chiyon."

"Your wisdom is even like that of the princess... it's no surprise you are her champion."

"Chiyon, you are the third Child to have regained their true form. The Mars Twins awakened not long before you. Please advise me on where to find the others." I bowed to him.

"Alas, not all can be found. One shall stay hidden even after the day when the Princess is to fall once more."

"Fall once more? We can't lose Estelle again!"

"Alas, she will do it to save those whom she holds close to her heart. I had seen it in one of the many visions I had during my years of sorrow."

"No..." I felt a tear go down my cheek. "All this hard work... will be for nothing..."

"But finding the princess wasn't what you have been assigned, fair warrior."

I looked up to meet his light grey-eyed gaze.

"As the champion, surely she had told you through the pendant to find and protect Rafael, did she not? She was always so close with him... of course she would be making sure he was safe first."

"Rafael... is he closer than I think? Have I already seen him?"

"I...I cannot see that... only that one shall fall in his stead..."

"What do you mean? Someone must die for him to live?!"

He nodded.

No... why must life be so tragic...?
