(Ok... here's the bad chapter... you have been warned...)

"Harmony is everywhere... put your hair up in the air," Poppy sang softly, skipping through the forest late that night. She was on her way back to check on Branch at his bunker.

Even though it was already almost midnight, she thought she should still go to see him. She knew how scared he was to be alone, fearing that Barb was going to find him.

She had wanted to stay with him, but she had some queenly duties that needed to be attended to, so she had to leave, but she was sure he was fine. He was just being paranoid as usual.

"Put your hair up in the air!"

She skipped into the large open field where Branch's bunker was, freezing in place as she gasped loudly.

The hatch to Branch's bunker had been torn open, and was now hanging off it's hinges.

"Branch..." she whispered, her eyes wide in horror. "Branch!"

Quickly, she ran down into the bunker, seeing it destroyed, all of the lights off.

She flicked a switch to turn on the lights, but nothing happened. It was clear the power had gone out.

"Branch!?" Poppy called out into the darkness, trying not to panic. "Branch, are you here!?"

     No answer...

She lit up her hair, so she could see better, slowly beginning to walk through the bunker.

As she walked, she accidentally stepped on something, which crunched under the weight of her foot.

     "What the..."

She looked down, gasping in horror, as she saw the crushed Gary on the floor.

"Gary?" she whispered softly, bending down to pick up the broken remote control. "Oh no..." she muttered, her eyes wide. "No!"

She dropped Gary to the floor, before running deeper into the bunker, her heart pounding out of her chest.

"Branch!? Branch, where are you!?" she cried out, her voice shaking in pure terror.

Poppy ran from room to room, bursting the doors open in search of her beloved boyfriend.

"Please, Branch!" she cried. "Answer me!"

With a silent gasp, she froze, her eyes widening, as she saw one of the doors already slightly opened, a puddle of thick red liquid seeping from underneath it.

"B... Branch?" she said quietly. No reply...

Slowly, she walked towards the door, gently pushing it open.

She looked around, quickly realizing the room was Branch's bathroom.

In the corner, there was a shower, the curtain shut, and covered in splatters of blood.

Poppy gulped, slowly walking towards the shower.

"Please don't be Branch... please don't be Branch..." she whispered to herself, struggling to hold back her tears.

Slowly, she reached for the curtain, quickly sliding it open.

"Oh god..." she muttered, tears immediately beginning to flow from her eyes.

Branch was sitting in the shower, leaning limply against the wall, his arms hanging loosely by his side, and head resting on his shoulder. He was covered in blood, several knife wounds all over his body. The most horrifying thing however, was the bloody knife still lodged in his heart.

"No..." Poppy whispered, covering her mouth with her hands, as she shook her head slowly, her vision clouded with tears. "Please no..."

On the wall above Branch's lifeless body, was something written out in his blood.

'You shouldn't of left him alone...'

(Ok.... But I did warn you. I am so sorry)
