Preeta came out of the washroom and placed her hands on his shoulders sitting in front of him snapping him out of his thoughts. "Shall we go?" she asked, he nodded and stood up. He asked for her hand and she happily placed her hand in his hand and stood up. He looked down as he felt her grip loosen and that she left his hand. He looked at her and she was busy in tucking her hair strands behind her ear. She turned her neck to look at him and found that he was already looking at her, she blushed and looked down. "Arjun, what happen?" she asked, he held her chin and made her look at him, he could see a slight twinkle in her eyes.

"I was thinking why did you leave my hand all of a sudden," he told her and she smiled and held his bicep making him amazed. "I never hold hand to leave. If people want to go from my life, it's always their choice, but if they want to come back, then it's my choice, don't worry, I won't leave your hand ever. Just like you held my hand in the time of need, I will also be there for you like that," she said tilting her head with a slight smile and he smiled back and brought her fringe forward on her face.

"You look more beautiful this way," he said and she smiled. "Enough Arjun, I will get diabetes my soon to be fiance," she said and he chuckled. "Your wish is my command, let's go," he said and they made their way out of that room and that house and to his car. He opened the door for her and she sat inside, he closed the door. He sat at the driving seat and drove off. She enjoyed the view all the way to the store and her hair blew across her face, he glanced at her and smiled. Their car halted at the store. Arjun took off the seat belt and got out of the car and came to her side and opened the door for her. He forwarded his hand towards her and she smiled and placed her hand in his hand and came out and closed the door. They walked together to the store and viewed the lehengas together. "I think this blue one would do," she said and he told the worker to bring it of her size. The worker brought it and he gave it to her, she went to try and he waited for her. She came out and he viewed her from top to bottom.

"Its good, but I think you should try one more as well," he said and his gaze went on a light pink lehenga. He called the worker and he came to him. He asked for that lehenga and the worker gave it to him, he gave it to Preeta, she went to try while he waited. He came out and showed it to him. "Oh wow, everything looks good on you, buy both," he said and she chuckled. "Engagement has to be done once, then why two lehengas?" she asked.

He shrugged. "Buy whichever you want," he said and she twirled in that lehenga surprising him. "I look more good in this one, simplicity at its best," she said and he nodded. "Okay," he said and she went back inside to change in her own clothes while he waited, she came outside and gave the lehenga to him. He went to get it packed and pay the bill. "Arjun," Preeta called from behind, he turned and raised his eyebrows. She blinked her eyes calling him to her. He signed to wait. She sighed and stood up as he turned.

She approached him and gave him money for the lehenga, he was surprised. "Where did you get these?" he asked. "Work from home," she told and he looked at the money and then at her. "This wasn't needed, I will pay," he said. "Please, I want to pay," she insisted and he nodded and took it. She went and sat down waiting for him. He came to her and she looked up at him and stood up taking the shopping bag from him. "Preeta? Its just a lehenga, I can carry it," he said.

"Not everything should be your burden, please let me carry, besides its lightweight," she said and he grabbed it back careful to not break her nails while taking it from her. "You're already carrying something important," he said eyeing her tummy, she looked down at her tummy and then at him, she couldn't help but smile with tears in her eyes. He shifted the shopping bag in other hand and wrapped his arm around her shoulders and they exited the store with her. They sat in the car and drove off to the other store to shop for the engagement ring.

"This time I will get out on my own, you already make me feel special," she told him and he smiled and blinked his eyes. They got out of the car together and walked inside hand in hand. "We want to see engagement rings," Arjun said and the jeweller showed him different pairs of rings. "Which one?" they asked in unison and smiled. "You select," they replied in unison once again and chuckled and viewed the rings together, they pointed at the same pair of rings together and couldn't help but laugh. "What's happening?" she asked while laughing. "Don't know, coincidence," he replied also laughing.

"Okay we like this one," Arjun told the jeweller and he packed it and handed it to him and he paid it and they exited from there and sat in the car and drove off from there. They came back to Mauli's house and they settled in the room. "You aren't tired, are you?" he asked and she shook her head. "Sure?" he asked and she shrugged. "No thanks," she said, he stood up and brought water for her, she smiled and drank all of it and placed the glass on the bedside table. She cupped his cheek and he looked on. "Thanks for helping me a lot, even you are an angel in my life," she said and he smiled. "And today I have smiled so much that my cheeks are hurting," he told her and she smiled. "We both got a reason to smile recently only, its a reminder that how quickly our lives changed," she said and he nodded. "I will just come," he said and went, she relaxed on the bed, he came back with a plate which had something for her and placed it in front of her.

She gasped. "Who made them?" she asked. "Mauli told me to give them to you," he told her and she began to eat hungrily. "Its cute that how someone who was once a complete stranger now understands me so much, she knows it all then at what time I crave something spicy and when I crave something sweet," she said while eating and he chuckled at her. "By the way, I won't have it all, so please you too have some," she said and he nodded and ate. "You keep eating, I will just come," she said and went to wash her hands and then went to kitchen. She came back with a tray of two glasses , it was kitkat milkshake. She gave one to him.

"Preeta? All of a sudden?" he asked. "When you can do so much for me, then this is very little in front of all that you did for me," she said. "Is it homemade?" he asked and she nodded. "Pregnancy teaches everything, its the best time, but you know, the tummy just gets heavier with time as the baby starts growing," she said sipping the milkshake. "I know I know, I am a gynecologist, that's how we met," he reminded and sipped his milkshake and they both finished it and placed their glasses aside and sat together on each side of bed with the support of bed board. They didn't realize when they slept leaning to each other, her head rested on his shoulder while his head rested on the bed board. They felt complete after a long time.
