Next day.

Preeta wakes up and goes downstairs. She hugs her mother from behind.

Preeta: Good morning, maa...

Sarla (smiling): Good morning, bachcha...

Just then Shrishti comes there and pouts.

Shrishti (pouting): Not fair!! Mujhe bhul gaye!! Aap na humesha di ki hi side liya karo!!

Everybody giggles.

Raghuveer: Aaja meri jhalli, mujhe gale laga le!!

Shrishti happily hugs Raghuveer.

Shrishti: Koi toh meri side hai!!

Raghuveer: Meine aisa kab kaha!!??

Shrishti breaks the hug and makes a crybaby face. Ayaan bursts out laughing. Shrishti glares at him.

Shrishti: Ayaan ke bachche!! Ruk tu!!

Ayaan (running): Arre abhi aaye kaha hai...abhi time hai!!

Shrishti runs behind Ayaan. Ayaan hides behind Preeta. Preeta laughs. Shrishti smiles seeing her laugh.

Preeta: Aaja meri jhalli, mujhe gale laga le!! Mein teri side hu!!

Shrishti hugs Preeta from the front, while Ayaan hugs her from the back.

Shrishti/Ayaan: I love you di...

Preeta (smiling): I love you 2 too...

Sarla and Raghuveer look at each other and smile.

Raghuveer: Bachcho jaldi se tayaar ho jao, aaj hume Luthra house jaana hai...

Preeta's face turns to a stern one.

Preeta: Mein nahi...

Sarla: Beta please...unhone lunch pe sabko invite kiya hai...Rakhi ji ke liye chal le...

Preeta reluctantly agrees. Everybody gets happy.

In the afternoon.

The Arora's reach the Luthra house. Preeta stands in front of the house, lost. Every corner of the house had a memory, she absolutely did not want to cherish. She wipes her tears and puts on a fake smile. She makes herself look confident. Everybody looks at her and sigh. They go inside. Girish (their staff member) opens the door. He greets everybody.

Rakhi: Aaiye Sarla ji, namaste.

Sarla: Namaste Rakhi ji.

Rakhi looks towards Preeta, who was looking down. She comes towards her and cups her face.

Rakhi: Meri bachchi, kitne dino baad tujhe dekh rahi hu...gale nahi lagaygi mujhe...

Preeta immediately hugs Rakhi. A tear drop falls on her shoulder and at that moment Rakhi hated her own son for doing that to her daughter. Preeta wiped her tears and smiled. Just then Karan and Kritika came down. Karan was happy seeing Preeta there. He had taken literally 2 hours to look perfect for a lunch. Preeta chuckled silently, knowing him very well. Kritika hits her elbow with Karan's and gives him a teasing smile. He looks at her annoyed. Just then Preeta's eyes fall on Rishabh, who was coming down with Sameer. Rishabh sees her and stops. He glares at her. She glares back. Everybody notices this and get tensed. Just then, Karan comes in between Rishabh and Preeta. Rishabh shifts his glare towards him, who ignores it. He turns towards Preeta.

Karan: Andar chalo...

She moves towards the dining table, followed by Karan. Everybody sits down to eat. Raghuveer and Mahesh talk about their business. Rakhi and Sarla are busy in their gossip. Kritika and Ayaan are busy fighting. Shrishti and Sameer are lost in each other. Whereas, Karan is glaring Rishabh, who is glaring Preeta, who is trying to concetrate on her food. She gets fed up and bangs her hand on the table, making everyone quiet.

Preeta (controlling her anger): Mera hogaya!! Mein thodi der terrace par jaa rahi hu!!

Saying this she leaves.

Sarla: Isse kya hua??

Rishabh is about to speak but Karan interrupts.

Karan: Sarla aunty mein dekhta hu...

She nods. Karan looks at Rakhi, who gives him an assuring smile. He goes upstairs.

On the terrace.

Preeta is standing near the wall on the edge, looking up. Just then Karan comes there.

Preeta: Kya tum sach me mujhse pyaar karte ho, Karan??

Karan gets shocked.

Karan: Tumhe kaise...

Preeta (without turning): Sawaal ka jawaab sawaal se mat do!!

Karan (coming towards her): Yeh koi puchne wali baat hai...mein tumse sach me bohot pyaar karta hu, Preeta...

She turns.

Preeta: Toh mujhse shaadi kar lo...

Karan (shocked and happy): Whatt!!

Preeta: Haan...marry me...

Karan: Par...

Preeta: Kya tum mujhse pyaar nahi karte??

Karan (shocked): Aisa nahi hai...par...

Preeta: Toh phir problem kya hai??

Karan: Kya tum iss shaadi se khush hogi??

Preeta looks at him unbelievingly. She was torturing him since such a long time. She wanted him to marry her so that she could take revenge and all that this guy cared about was her happiness. She nods.

Preeta: Haan...

Karan (smiles): Toh phir thik hai!! Mujhe koi problem nahi hai...

Preeta: Par shaadi final exams ke baad hogi...

Karan: Done!!

They go downstairs. Karan announces their marriage, much to Rishabh's dismay. He angrily leaves upstairs. Preeta smirks. Karan entangles his hand with hers. All of a sudden, he feels sharp pain in his palm. He realises that she had been holding a pin in her hand to hurt him and it was all her plan.

Karan (in mind): Toh yeh iski chaal thi...shaadi karke mujhe torture karne ki...par koi baat nahi!! Mein bhi The Karan Luthra hu!! Mein bhi haar nahi manunga!!

He bears the pain. Blood drops fall on the ground, noticed by Ayaan.

Ayaan: Karan bhai aapke haath mein se khoon aa raha hai!!

Preeta pretends as if she hadn't noticed it.

Preeta (acting): Oh no Karan!! Tumhara haath...zyaada khoon toh nahi beh raha na...

The pin and gone too deep into his skin. She jerks her hand away from him, which makes him wince in pain, but he doesn't shriek.

Karan: Kuch nahi hua, babydoll...mein bilkul thik hu!!

Shrishti and Sameer look at each other sadly, knowing that it was done by Preeta.

Karan: Mein saaf karke aata hu...

He leaves.

Preeta: Mein dekh kar aati hu...

Shrishti was about to stop Preeta, but she ran upstairs.

Karan's room.

Karan enters his room, with tears in his eyes. He takes out the first aid box with trembling hands and blurred vision. Preeta comes inside and smirks. He knows its her and wipes his tears. She comes to him and takes the first aid box.

Preeta: Zyaada lag gayi kya??

Karan (nodding his head in no, smiling): Um hmm...

Preeta: Koi baat nahi...ab lage gi...

She takes the medicine and empties the bottle on his hand. He shrieks in pain. He closes his eyes, silent tears flowing down. She throws the bottle away and makes him stand up, with a jerk. She takes him inside the washroom and opens the tap. She brings his hand under the hot water, making him groan in pain.

Preeta (smirking): Ab lagi??

Karan maintains his cool and smiles.

Karan (nodding in no): Um hmm...

Preeta gets angry. She jerks his hand and leaves. Karan closes the tap and sits on the ground, crying miserably.

Rishabh's room.

Rishabh is in his room, walking here and there.

Rishabh: Mujhe kuch toh karna padega...iss ne Karan ko shaadi ke liye mana liya...abhi itna torture karti hai...pata nahi shaadi ke baad mere bhai ki kya halat hogi...yeh shaadi toh mein hone nahi dunga!!

He calls someone.

Rishabh: Hello...haan tumhe ek ladki ka accident karwana hai...photo mein bhej raha hu...okay bye...

He ends the call and smirks.

At night.

Preeta is in her room, thinking about how Karan did not give up. He kept letting her hurt him but did not for even once accept that he was in pain because of her.

She turns on the radio to listen to a song.

Meanwhile.

Karan is in his room. He is trying to play the guitar, but is unable to due to the wound.

Karan and Preeta are looking at each other, tearfully. Karan opens his arms and Preeta runs and hugs him. They stay there for what seems like eternity.

Karan (smiling tearfully):

Karan is back hugging Preeta, while she is smiling. He kisses her cheek. She widens her mouth and playfully slaps his cheek.

On the other hand.

Preeta is listening to the same song on the radio, with tears in her eyes.

She remembers all her fun moments with Karan and how he would just do anything to make her happy. She smiles remembering his cute face.

He keeps his guitar and goes to bed. He covers himself with the duvet. Preeta too covers herself with the duvet.

Karan/Preeta: Kal humara roka hai...

Both smile and fall asleep.
