Chapter Fifty
Primadonna

AFTER ABOUT AN hour of arguing, Sydney grew tired of the teenage boy's arguments and she shoved them all onto the couch. Luckily for her, they were scared of her so they listened.

"I don't know how to say this any plainer. Eagle Fang and Miyagi-Do have to work together," Sam elaborated slowly.

"Even if we wanted to team up, it'd never work," Chris objected. "I was in Cobra Kai. Their style mixes with our like. . ."

"Oil and vinegar?" Nate asked.

"No, not salad dressing," Chris denied. "I would say like uh, the British Bulldogs and The Hart Foundation."

Sydney titled her head in confusion.

"They were friends, dipshit," Mitch snapped.

"Not at Wrestlemania 3, penis breath!"

"Okay, you can't call me penis breath. Only they can call me penis breath!"  Mitch argued.

"Why are you okay with anyone calling you penis breath?"

"I'm about to kill them in less than five seconds," Sydney said violently under her breath.

Miguel's eyes widened slightly and he wrapped his arm around her waist.

"Okay,  you know what?  Screw this.  Come on,  let's go,"  Mitch said and stood up.

Bert followed him.

"Hey,  pussies!"  Demetri said loudly.

Sydney gasped in shock and out a hand over her heart.

"This is exactly what those assholes at Cobra Kai want,"  Demetri continued.  "Dince you were one of 'em,  you're an asshole too.  So are you,"

"I ain't no asshole."  Chris muttered.

"So was I.  Or at least I wanted to be one.  But now Cobra Kai is the worst collection of assholes in the valley.  Run by the king of all assholes,"

Sydney hummed in agreement.

"So if by merging with Eagle Fang,  weird name by the way,"  Demetri pointed at them.

Sydney pointed at Miguel.  "Their choice,  not mine,"

". . . Can keep us all from getting shit on anymore,  then we'd all be assholes not to do it!"

Everyone was silent and in shock.  Out of all people,  they didn't expect Demetri to be the one to mediate.

"I'm sorry for all the assholes.  I usually take pride in my grandiloquence,  but. . . it's an emotion time."

Sydney bounced on her toes and smiled.  "I am so proud of you right now."

He gave her an excited thumbs up.

After a minute, Mitch and Bert sat back down on the couch.   Demetri nodded in victory. "Now,  where do we start?"

Sydney, Miguel, and Sam glanced at each other and grinned. Their plan was working perfectly.

After forming a plan, the four of them gathered both dojos into the kitchen. "We're all in agreeing that our new combined dojo should train at Miyagi-Do," Demetri stated. "But deadlocked on a new name, new design, post training snacks, and sensei dispute resolution protocol."

Sydney raised a hand. "I vote on me designing the gi's."

"Any objections?" Demetri asked.

They shook their heads.  "No. Nope."

Sydney smiled proudly.

"Okay, not good, but it's a start." Demetri said and put the notebook on the table.

They suddenly heard the meowing of a cat coming from outside. "Aww, I think your cat wants to come in. Here kitty, kitty," Bert called out and got up to go outside.

Sydney furrowed her brows and looked at Sam. "Since when did you get a cat?"

"We didn't." The brunette denied.

Bert came flying through through the window and let out a shout.  He fell to the floor and glass shattered everywhere.

Sydney gasped loudly in shock.  Everyone immediately sprinted to help him. "Bert,  what happened?"  Miguel quickly asked.

"No cat."  Bert answered bitterly.

Sydney carefully stepped over the glass and helped him off the floor.  "Okay,  okay,  come on.  You're okay,"

Hawk and the other boys from Cobra Kai came through the door and everyone went stiff.  Sydney stopped brushing the glass off of Bert's jacket and glared at them furiously.  She grabbed Miguel's arm.

"I's payback time,  Rhea."  Kyler mocked.

Miguel gave him a death glare and Sydney stepped forward,  glaring at Kyler.

Everyone started backing up and that's when Sam's front door slammed open,  making them all turn around quickly.

Tory came storming inside the house.  Sydney's heart dropped into her stomach.  "Heard you were throwing a party.  Hope you don't mind if we crash,"

"Tory,  you don't have to do this,"  Miguel tried stopping her.

"It's too late.  This ends tonight,"  She argued.

Sydney tried processing what was going on in her head.  But nothing shocked her more than when she saw Charlie walk through Sam's door and stand right beside Tory. "Charlie?"

Everyone was stunned. "Charlie, what are you doing?" Sam questioned.

"I'm sorry,"  was all he could say. He could barely look any of them in the eye.

Sydney felt even more betrayed and by the look on Miguel's face, so did he.

"NO MERCY!" Tory shouted and that's when all hell broke loose.

Sydney quickly punched one of the boy's that tried to grab her in the face.  She recognized him as the boy that she kicked with her heel.  A faint scar rested on his cheek.  "Don't make me scar your other cheek!"

She felt someone grab her hair and attempt to drag her backwards onto the floor. She quickly reached back and grabbed their hand and did a backbend, kicking her leg up and hitting them in the face making them let go of her. Sydney spun around and dropped on one knee. She grabbed a fist full of his shirt and socked him in the nose.

In front of her, she saw Miguel fighting off one of the guys and she let out a cry and ran forward, side kicking him in the side and,  making him fly backwards and hit his head on the kitchen table.

Miguel let out a loud breath and nodded at her. "Thanks babe."

"Always." She said breathlessly.

They squeezed each other's hands before running in the opposite direction. Sydney fought off anyone that tried to come near her, ending up getting a few punches to the face herself. She froze when she saw Tory at the other end of the hall.

Then, she felt a searing hot anger and she let out another battle cry, charging towards her and throwing her arm forward.

They blocked each other's fists and Tory moved forward,  making sydney step back. "Don't make me do this."

"No!" Sydney hissed. "You don't get to break into Sam's house and start another karate war just to get off easy. I'm done putting up with your bullshit!"

Sydney hit her across the face and punched her in her the ribs harshly. Tory karate chopped her wrist and brought her knee up, kicking her in the stomach and Sydney let out a loud grunt.

Tory shoved her backwards. "This isn't about you."

"It had everything to do with me!" Sydney shouted and spun around, kicking her in the stomach and she stumbled a foot away. "Don't you understand? I hate you!"

She could see that her words affected Tory because she got distracted. Sydney took the opportunity to grab her arm and flip her over her shoulder. Tory landed on her back with a thud and Sydney crouched over her, holding her arms to her chest. "Do you not understand what you caused? Miguel almost died because of something you started.  I had to watch him suffer and I couldn't do anything!" She exclaimed in anger and sadness. "You put Sam through hell. You and you're stupid fucking dojo ruined everything.  I hate you for what you did."

Tory didn't fight back.  She looked guilty.  For a split second,  Sydney felt regret but it was quickly masked by an overwhelming feeling of anger.  Her eyes stung with hot tears and she pushed off of Tory and ran off,  leaving her there.

It was pure chaos.  Teenagers from every inch of the house were fighting.  Glass was everywhere and the tables and chair were flipped over.  Sydney didn't know what to think.  A million thought and emotions washed over her.  This wasn't right.  This wasn't how it was supposed to be.  How the hell did they let karate turn them into psychos?

"Demetri!"  She exclaimed when she saw Demetri get thrown into a table.  She quickly ran and grabbed his arm.  "Come on."

Hearing a loud cry,  she turned around and saw a Cobra Kai boy running towards them and she spun around,  kicking her leg across his face and he fell straight to the floor.

Demetri's eyes widened.  "Thanks."

She patted his back.

From the other side of the house,  Miguel was fighting off to two guys.  He leg sweeped one and managed to throw the other into the wall across from them.  He turned his head and saw Charlie not too far from him punching Chris in the face and Chris flew back into the plants.

They caught eyes and Charlie's face fell.  Miguel didn't know how to feel.  Charlie and him were close friends when Miguel was still in Cobra Kai.  He was nice and was always offering to help the others.  In school,  they had most of their classes together and Charlie was great at making Miguel feel welcome when he first started.

Miguel didn't blame Charlie for the school fight.  Yes,  he was mad that he cheated on Tory with Sam but he didn't start the fight.  Miguel never got the chance to tell him that he didn't blame him.

He was so deep in thought that he didn't realize Charlie was standing in front of him till he felt him punch him in the face.  Miguel tumbled back into the wall and Charlie grabbed him by the neck of his hoodie,  throwing him into the opposite wall.  "Charlie,  wait!"

But Charlie didn't listen. Instead, he threw another punch. Miguel quickly dodge the punch and ducked under Charlie's arm. "Charlie, stop. Listen to me!"

"Shut up, Miguel." Charlie hissed and stepped back on one foot, kicking his leg and attempting to kick Miguel in the face.

Miguel grabbed Charlie's foot and twisted it, making him cry. Miguel pushed Charlie backwards. "Listen to me, Charlie. You don't have to do this!"

"You don't know anything miguel!" Charlie said roughly.

He swung his arm at him but Miguel quickly caught it and held it in place. He glared at him. "Oh, I don't get it? I'm probably the only person that does,"

Charlie jerked his arm back.

"Why are you doing this? Why are you with Tory?"

"I didn't have anyone else, Miguel!"

"What the hell are you talking about?" Miguel exclaimed. "You have me, you have Sam, you have Sydney!"

"Don't you get it?" Charlie nearly shouted in his face and grabbed his arms, kicking his knee into his stomach. Miguel bent over in pain and Charlie spun around, kicking him across the face. "It's my fault, okay? I'm the reason Tory went on a rampage. I'm the reason you got hurt."

From the floor, Miguel wiped the blood from his mouth and took heavy breaths. "It's not your fault,"

"It is," Charlie argued. His eyes started to water.

Miguel quickly stood up. Charlie went for another hit but Miguel held his hands up on surrender. "I don't blame you Charlie, okay? None of this was your fault. Please believe me. I don't blame you."

Charlie froze with his fists up. He searched Miguel's face for any sight of a lie but he didn't find one. Miguel wasn't a liar. He was a good and loyal person. He never got mad at anyone and if he did, it wasn't for long. All this time, Charlie was punishing himself about Miguel falling off the ledge. He went into a really deep state of depression and don't talk to anyone for weeks.

Tory was pissed at him but she was also the only person who understood him. They had a really long conversation and it brought Charlie out of that dark place. He loved her. He loved her enough to let Cobra Kai sink their fangs into him.

But now, Charlie wanted to break free of all the drama and go back to how things were before. What happened at the school would never be erased but right now, he had the chance to make things right.

He lowered his fists slowly. "I'm sorry, Miguel."

miguel nodded quickly. "You gonna help me end this?"

Charlie nodded. "Let's do this."

I feel like I haven't really shown Miguel and Charlie's friendship throughout the story and I feel bad for that. Charlie's actually very important to Miguel seeing as how they've been friends since season 1. Miguel's also a very empathetic person and knows that Charlie feels bad for what happened. They're a lot like Tory and Sydney.

Sydney and Tory's storyline is probably my favorite storyline out of the entire story and it only gets better.
