"Hey, you're Echizen from our class, right?" I turned around to see a boy coming towards us.

"Seeing that bag, you're going to join the tennis club, right?" he asked, pointing to Ryoma's tennis gear.

"I'm Horio." the boy said. Ryoma simply continued walking, I sighed and shook the boy's hand.

"I'm Koyuki. Ryo's always like that, don't worry about it." I siad. he turned a slight shade of pink before I felt an arm around my waist. I blinked.

"Ryo, don't be rude, say hello." I nudged him. Ryoma looked to Horio and nodded. I smiled.

"Horio? We're going to the tennis courts right now. Would you like to come?" I asked as Ryo handed me my outdoor shoes. Horio nodded vigorously.

"Ah, did you know? This tennis club is really strong, and-" he was cut off as he stared in shock at Ryoma asking an upperclassman which way the tennis courts were, and completely ignoring Horio. I sighed and Ryo grabbed my hand, gently pulling me towards the direction that the upperclassman pointed out to us. I motioned for Horio to follow, which he did.

"Whoah! Seigaku school is really different! Their facilities are a killer!" Horio exclaimed. I smiled.

"Yo. Are you guys going to join our tennis club?" two upperclassmen asked us.

"We're second years, Hayashii and Ikeda." one of them introduced. I nodded with a gentle smile.

"Nice to meet you two. I'm Koyuki, this is Horio and Ryoma." I said, knowing neither of the two would introduce themselves. One was too shocked by...everything to do it, and the other...well, it was Ryoma. (A/N: Nuff said)

"Why don't you play a little game with us?" Hayashii asked. I tilted my head to the side.

"Game?" I repeated curiously. He nodded.

"10 tries to knock down the can, the prize is 10,000 yen. 200 yen per person. The rule is simple. You serve from there." he said, pointing to a white line on the court, a reasonable serving distance from the can. Horio and two other first years tried first. The two who I don't know didn't get anywhere, just ended up scattering tennis balls around the court. Horio went next, making a name for himself; 'Tennis Record 2nd year Horio'. I giggled as Ryoma facepalmed. Horio didn't get anywhere either, not until his last try. The ball hit the frame of his racket and went towards the can. Sadly, it only brushed it, definitely not with enough force to knock it down.

Horio slumped in defeat as he went to give them his 200 yen, they turned the can around, showing a paper taped to it.

1 try = 500 yen

starting fee = 200 yen

prize = 10,000 yen

I giggled at their crestfallen expressions, bringing the attention to myself. Oops.

"Ah, how could I forget? How about you, would you like to try?" Hayashii asked me. I bit my lip, thinking. Ryoma then came over, bringing me into a half hug as he stared the 2nd year down.

"She would, actually." he said. I looked up at him in shock. He was the one who had said it would be better not to bring attention to myself. Well, that just went out the window. I sighed as Ryoma gave me a racket.

"Well, I would hit it...if it weren't for you guys' cheating." I said, giving them a glare. They flinched, and I gently -GENTLY- hit the ball towards the can. The ball hit the top of the can and it fell over, spilling out rocks. I 'tsk'ed as I saw the mark the ball made on the court. Oops. Horio's eyes widened.

"Your control is awesome!" he said, and I smiled. Ryoma snorted at the expressions of the two upperclassmen. Just then, another upperclassman came. He seemed to be in the tennis club too, since he had a racket with him.

"What's this? Picking on the juniors? You can't do that." he said. I gave him a wave as my greeting. He nodded to me and then his eyes landed on the racket in my hands, then to the can of rocks, and his eyes narrowed. Mine widened and I pointed to Ryoma, who was glaring over my head to the two 2nd years. I tugged on his sleeve and he looked down at me. I pointed to the upperclassman, putting on his tennis shoes.

"Ryo, he wants to have a match with you." I said. He looked confused.

"Why?" he asked. I sent him a grin.

"Because I can't. I can tip over a can of rocks, but I can't play a regular." I said, thinking of the respect the other two had for him made him a regular. Ryoma sighed.

"Do I have to?" he asked with a childish pout. I grinned and nodded.

"No, but you won't turn it down, will you?" I asked. He laughed and ruffled my hair. He planted a kiss on my forehead and took the racket from my hands, then went over to the other side of the court, opposite from the upperclassman's side. I heard whispers that turned into shouts.

"Momoshiro-senpai is going to play a first year!" I blinked. So his name was Momoshiro...Wait, how did everyone know that so fast? I turned to see them get ready to play.

"What side?" Momoshiro asked. Ryoma looked to me. I stared thoughtfully at the racket for a few seconds.

"Rough." I said. Ryoma nodded to Momoshiro, who shrugged and spun. It was rough.

"So I've heard from the old lady that you know how to do the twist serve?" Momoshiro asked him. I tilted my head to the side.

"You mean Ryuzaki-san?" I asked, and he nodded.

"The old woman from before that bothered you about what hand you use." I said to a confused Ryoma, who was looking to me for help. He nodded, recognition flickering in his eyes. I giggled. Ryoma's forgetful.

"Can I be the referee for this match?" Horio asked, excited. Momoshiro nodded carelessly.

"Oh, sure." he said. I sat down next to Ryoma's other rackets and watched.

When they were both ready, Horio started the match;

"THE BEST OF ONE SET! ECHIZEN SERVICE PLAY!"
