Lance couldn't help but think that it was a good thing he wore a black shirt. He had gotten what appeared to be a small cut, the kind that bleeds a lot but isn't very deep. He figured he'd check it out after they made sure Shiro was okay.

Keith was cradling Shiro in his arms while Allura hastily prepped a healing pod for the black paladin.

"You'll be okay, Shiro." He muttered, glancing at the long, deep gash on the man's chest. "Stay with me for a just a moment longer." Pidge was staring at Shiro's wound, unable to say anything as she crouched next to him. She just held his hand, knowing that she wouldn't let the last connection to her family die.

Hunk was standing in a corner, a sling around his arm and a frown on his face. Lance was staring at the ground, determined not to do anything to make this situation worse. Once Shiro was in the healing pod, he walked out and started to make his way towards the bathrooms.

"Hey, do you mind helping me with something?" Pidge asked him, appearing from behind. She held up a small robot with some loosely attached parts. "Please?" Lance nodded, knowing she needed something to keep herself busy.

"Sure." He said, taking a deep breath and plastering a smile on his face. "I'm happy to help - what do I do?"

"Well," Pidge began as she approached the green lion's hangar, "I need you to make sure all of the limbs are screwed in while I find a computer chip. Allura said there are a few spares in here somewhere." She held up a giant box full of strange parts.

"Do you have a screwdriver, or...?"

"Lance, Allura said you should come train with me." Keith said suddenly as the door opened.

"You better go." Pidge said, smiling at him. He followed Keith out the door, unsure why Allura would want him to train right then. Hadn't they just finished battling a ton of galra? He was sure that they should be resting instead of training.

"What training are we going to do?" Lance asked, wincing as he pulled his armor on.

"One on one, with randomized weapons." Keith replied, pushing a bunch of brightly colored buttons. Their Bayards started flashing through weapons, both of them finally landing on a sword.

"No fair, they're the same thing! And you have an advantage."

"They're supposed to be the same thing. Besides, it's random." Keith swung his sword towards Lance, who dodged out of the way just in time. Lance smiled and slid past Keith, jabbing at him from behind. Keith gasped and turned around, returning the attack. He hit Lance lightly on his side, and the blue paladin yelped.

"Okay, you win." He said after a moment. Keith narrowed his eyes, and using the tip of his sword, he raised Lance's shirt. A dark stain that he assumed was sweat was actually the boy's blood.

"Jesus, Lance!" Keith exclaimed, taking his own shirt off to wipe away Lance's blood. "Why the hell didn't you tell someone about this?!"

"I thought it was just a small cut - it doesn't hurt that much." Lance said defensively.

"That's because it's burned, too. How did that even happen?" Keith placed a finger gingerly on the wound, sighing as it came back already covered with blood.

"Paladins to the infirmary! We have an emergency!" Allura's panicked voice came over the intercom. Keith jumped up and ran out of the training room, forgetting the blue paladin in the rush of confusion.

So this is going to be like 4-5 short chapters, hope you like it so far! I promise to update A Ghost of A Chance, there should be an update today or tomorrow for that.
