1. Defend your Clan and Royals, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan and Royals, as one day you may meet them in battle.

2. Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan's territory.

3. Life-bringers, sick or injured cats and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the life-bringers.

4. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life.

5. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.

6. Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name.

7. A cat cannot be made King/Queen/Lead Warrior/Royal Advisor/ Lead Healer/ Head servant without having mentored at least one apprentice.

8. The eldest prince will become the next ruler of the clan. If there are no princes, then the eldest princess will become the next ruler.

9. The eldest prince will become Clan leader when the King dies, retires, or is exiled. The current Queen will step down and become a warrior again.

10. After the death, retirement, promotion, or exile of the eldest heir, the second-eldest prince will become the ruler. If there are no princes, then the eldest princess will become the ruler.

11. A Gathering of all  Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among Clans at this time.

12. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.

13. No warrior can neglect a kit in pain or danger, even if the kit is from a different Clan.

14. The word of the King/Queen is the warrior code.

15. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win their battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or if it is necessary for self-defense.

16. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.

17. Each Clan has the right to be proud and independent, but in times of trouble they must forget their boundaries and fight side by side to protect the others. Each Clan must help the others so that no Clan will fall.

18. You must call all cats in a higher ranking than you by their title. Cats in a higher ranking than you may call you whatever they please.

19. She-cats must obey to whatever their mates say.

20. If princes/princesses want to become mates with another cat, they must first have the approval of the King.

21. Once a she-cat (excluding heirs) reaches the age of 15 moons, they will be given a mate by the King. Within the next 4 moons, they must have had at least one litter of kits (or have looked after any lost kits) or they will become a servant. However, if the first mate of a she-cat dies, they will have the freedom to choose their second mate and will become mates if the King approves of the decision.

22. Servants can be treated by warriors however they want.

23. The title of crown prince/princess cannot be removed from a them unless they have broken the Code, have been exiled or have been killed.

24. No she-cat can become a Lead Warrior or a part of the Royal Court.

25. The King will decide who becomes mates with who and if they can have kits.
